Wow what a professional Ray is, I could listen to that voice and say that's entertainment , All these years and still Ray makes the song fresh and vibrant. Thank you to you for posting & Ray. Wow
enough hair makes all the diffrence...a bald head looks better than this, dear ray....but still good to hear old lola, the earliest transvestite in pop history i reckon...
thanks for that interesting info...as a german i didnt always get the lyrics.....now i see the story with old desmond changing his idea..and being a singer in a band and doing HER pretty face....hilarious song....
Saw Ray at the Wiltern Theatre in LA earlier in 2008. Just brilliant. It's a great feeling to have been to as many great shows as I have, starting back in 1972 with Edgar Winter and Bad Co. at the Forum, and being able to say that Ray's show was one of the best I've seen. It was kind of that old "Kick the Can" Twilight Zone episode. His music certainly took me, and the others in attendance, to a magical place. I hope he keeps writing and sharing.
Interesting comment. I have seen (and worked with) many awesome bands live in concert including the Police at the Bottom Line in NYC, the Stones, Eric Clapton, Elvis Costello, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and on and on. Last night, I saw Ray at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. He put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. I was blown away! The sound mix was magnificent and Ray was unbelievable. At 64 years of age, he has more energy, passion, and, of course, talent than any current artist.
BLOODY HELL.. this busker has talent.
