Talk about living in denial, it always gets on my nerves whenever the parent says oh I know my son or daughter they would never do something like that. Bullshit nobody trully knows their child any human being is capeable of doing a bad thing.

@TheCanadianWanderer A bad boy is one thing, a convited criminal is another. These women who go for criminals are obviously very lonely... and stupid.
@snowwpea It's a medical condition called Hybristophilia where you have a love or sexual attraction to people that have committed terrible crimes. You're right that it's way beyond a love of 'bad boys', it's a serious condition that has led so many women to their deaths, at the hands of men they think they love.
@honey87west Never heard of that condition, thanks for mentioning it. I guess being a medical condition it kind of makes you feel even more bad for these women.
Very true... who they think they love, and who they think loves them. Very sad.
@snowwpea No problem. I know, it's awful. :( Someone at my high school had it... she was writing letters to men in prison and only very luckily escaped being severely beaten by one of them who she met after he was released.
Diane is a lonely loser and she is no saint by writing to prisoners. There are people in nursing homes, orphans and terminally illed children who she can write to and she perfers to write to prisoners. What a sorry excuse for a human being. And what is wrong with this guy, killing his own innocent student out of nowhere. What can possibly motivate someone with a decent job and status to do this, and so cruel. Gosh, some white men are really something.
I knew what happened 2 minutes in. Stack said one of her interests was psychology. Combine that with the fact that a lot of women are attracted to prisoners and killers (it's a known phenomenon -- a lot of serial killers get marriage proposals).
LOL at hubby saying Yount "threatened her" to get him out. Yeah, I'm sure she was shaking in her boots by a guy in a 8x10 cell.
That's not a very good Christian woman. "I know you murdered that young girl, and I'm married, with two kids, but what the heck, I'll help you get away from this yucky incarceration facility!"
if there in prison there in there for a reason .... OMG why would you put yourself in a postion where you could get yourslef arrested or even murderd by your your so called boyfriend and omg what were they thinking letting him go Unsupervised good behavior or not he KILLED another human being >.>
Maybe that lady was seduced by lovy-dovy letters, strategically written by a manipulative convict who wanted out of prison. Maybe she forgot herself and her common sense somewhere along her christian way of wanting to be a friend to a prisonner. Sux for that lady!!!!!!!!!!
just read about this case again in a book about women who love/date/marry men in prison. i know they say love is blind, but that's no excuse. everyone makes a decision when they meet someone they are attracted to wether to pursue it or not. in the end, if something happens, it is because the person has CHOSEN to follow the attraction, when they could have walked away. that is why it's hard to understand how women like Diane CHOOSE to allow their hearts to do down such wrong, futile paths.
@BJORT The first crime he committed took place in the 60's. The 18 year old girl he murdered. His first mugshot is in the styles of the 60's because that is when it was taken. The later mug was taken in the 80's when they update the mugs.

She was described as "happily married". They always describe these missing runaway women like that. LOL
If she was so "happy" then why run away with an escaped rapist/killer?
There are thousands of "happily" married women out there just wishing for some sort of escape.
