I don't think anybody disputes that positive thinking is beneficial to your chances of success. Yes you are right, and moreover, the action you take will be spontaneous and with ease, coming from a place of integrity and love. Not competitive or stressful - you can achieve in this way also, but it will not be as joyous as 'allowing' the universe to bring you your desires. If we can predict how a galaxy's gravity bends light, we should easily be able to find the cosmic vibes that LOA posits, they don't exist.

The brain is an extraordinary organ, and research is at the threshold of understanding it, which is very exciting!

Like so many people, they feel like positive thinking is all that's needed. You are the foolish and ignorant ones. Yes you are right, and moreover, the action you take will be spontaneous and with ease, coming from a place of integrity and love. Not competitive or stressful - you can achieve in this way also, but it will not be as joyous as 'allowing' the universe to bring you your desires. It's censored by the Secret societies who have uncovered the law of attraction. Go and get Kevin Trudeau's "Your Wish Is Your Command" CD series. Over twelve hours of audio explaining the Law Of Attraction. I know that the Law Of Attraction is real because i had a lot of cases where it worked.. Try and believe.

It does make some sense scientifically. I once needed a 100 euros to pay off a debt and exactly at the last day, in my mailbox, i got EXACTLY the same currency as a 100 euros were back then, from a man i never knew and still don't know to this day. I applied the LOA because i was desperate and it worked. Makes me think...

I'd be happy to ;) It's at best naïve, at worst, arrogant, for a person to assume Earth is the only planet capable of supporting life.
HD 85512b is a planet, found last month, orbiting another star, in it's habitable zone. The discovery was at the limits of current technology.
But, we are building new technologies, next of which will analyse the reflected light from a planet and work out if signatures of life exist there.
We are the only living planet we know at the moment, but that will change.

Positing a creator solves nothing, you still have to account the for how the creator came to exist too.
There's very little about the evolution of the universe that isn't understood, and that which isn't YET understood is being aggressively pursued.
Reason lights a path of understanding away from the darkness of superstition to which you are so helplessly enthralled.

@RafaKBLudo We've a very complete model of the universe, on a grand scale in Relativity and on a Quantum small scale. You say: "can't yet fathom", there's little left that's not yet understand. Dark Matter, Singularities, Abiogenesis, research is getting closer to understanding these! Science tests claims see if they're real. LOA fails on basic scrutiny. If we can predict how a galaxy's gravity bends light, we should easily be able to find the cosmic vibes that LOA posits, they don't exist.

It's good and useful when we are being very concrete when dealing with physical things. Still, we do not have a nearly decent working model of our own consciusness and unconsciousness. We simply do not. I hope you "believe" ("know" would be much more appropriate) that there is the conscious, rational mind and the unconscious.

@RafaKBLudo The LOA is very superstitious, you seem to have intelligence to interpret it benignly, but unfortunately others don't. The unconscious is also a highly contentious subject, usually avoided in academic conversation. I'm more inclined towards terms like awake and aware, and concepts such as cognition, memory, perception and recognition, as these are better quantified. The brain is an extraordinary organ, and research is at the threshold of understanding it, which is very exciting!

@cypeapplejuice The word "unconscious" is usually not very precise, as it has no agreed-upon definition. Some will say it does, but it doesn’t (I should know - that's my area of specialty). I'm not exactly for the Law of Attraction. I think it's an oversimplified, new-agey way of seeing something that can't be yet understood. And sure, the brain *is* a extraordinary organ! - yet, unconscious is not about the brain: it's as much about the brain as it is about the ENS and numerous other body parts

No one up until now has solved the hard problem of consciousness. It seems that objectivity is quite easier to understand and sort out (we can all externally see, touch, hear and feel it) than subjectivity, which is mind blowing.
To me you seem very open to the possibility that "there's more to it", but you won't just passively swallow any answer thrown at you, which is obvioulsy good.

@RafaKBLudo To clarify my position, I am very much a skeptic, and if something can't be observed or tested I would tend to place it in the realm of non existence. Crucially, I accept innovation, so if something can be observed and tested with more than just modicum of evidence, or anecdote I'm glad to adjust my position.
To illustrate, I felt that extrasolar planets were probable, and was glad when they were proven to exist.
But the claims of the LOA, I relegate to the realm of superstition.
