Everyone should be guaranteed healthcare. It would be ideal if those who could afford more specialized care were allowed to shop around so to speak while those who could not also recieve medical services, but unfortunately this isn't currently possible.
God forbid the doctors are forced to be more efficient and not perform extra services that run up everyone's insurance premiums.
And you gotta love a doctor who throws around "spinal tumors" to scare their patient into buying their political agenda. It puts a whole new spin on the expression "profit motive."
But if Obamacare really does drive down the quality of health care in the US, it will be safer not to go to a doctor at all, because for years now it has been absolutely pathetic.
Americans are not used to being told what to do by a government. Most European nations have their populations addicted to socialized programs, such as medicine. If Obamacare goes into effect, it opens the door to other forms of government control. Example: America gets addicted to Obamacare. Inexpensive healthcare for all! Then the government amends Obamacare to add that if you own a gun, you will be dropped from your health care policy. It's hard for a population to revolt without guns.

This is BS. Overhere in Europe we have universal healthcare and pay about half the cost per patient compared to the US. I'm talking UK, Germany, Netherlands, France.
@rogerwilco2 Its very simplistic to automatically assume that if the United States adopted European socialist healthcare policies we would ALL have better HC. I currently have excellent health insurance and I sincerely doubt that I would receive better care if I let the government get involved. Truth is that, under a single payer system, some people's HC will greatly improve but, consequently, the rest of us will have to sacrifice. No thank you. What works there will not necessarily work here
I take it who ever made this was never in an HMO & never had to drive out of state to get an in network MRI.
I like when management has first hand experience in their history. It would be nice if our elected & appointed officials had more work history like our every day experiences and expertise in their area of control.
We are spending too much and don't getting enough out of it.
Without incentive efficiency won't improve.
I'd like to know more about ACO performance measures like courtesy.
id much rather see a slide show than the robot talking... lol.. jus sayin.. anyways.. Obama care = votes That is literally all.. he wanted a way to get elected.. and if we use this way .. we will end up like iraq medical care.. Something that takes A few Hours or even a day to fix here will end up taking weeks and u have to come back over and over.. because they didnt fix it right.. Blah blah blah.. ur in pain, they dont care..
What is it about you Tea partiers and republicans that can not do the most basic research?
The Individual Mandate is a Republican idea developed by the republicans and the Heritage Foundation. Funny thing is Republicans have no clue what they are repealling. The health care bill is based off of Republican ideas dating back 30 plus years.
@Actongue It is not about republican ideas compared to democratic ideas. I consider my self a conservative. I will not follow every single piece of republican legistlation and support it cause my party stand behind it. But to get back on track, it was the democrats that signed and passed it. Its happens to be a horrible piece of legistlation, unconstitutional, and truly destroying capitalisim. That is way republicans won the house back. Want healthcare? get a job or go to canada!
Why do you fail to accept the fact that The bill was crafted to be bipartisan from the start and used republican ideas over the past 30 years?
Why are there 161 amendements in the bill that republicans wanted, yet they could not even vote for their own ideas? BTW I live in Canada, I have health insurance and work for it, All Canadians have insurance, can all the Citizens that work in the US claim they have health insurance even they though work 35 plus hour days?
@Actongue there is well over 500 sections in the healthcare bill. Just because they may have promoted 161, which I have heard nothing of, theres still over 400 sections they refuse to vote on because the crippling effects it will have on the USA. And how many Americans have health insurance? 83% of americans have health insurance. Which is cleary a majority. They should have made a bipartisan bill 2 years ago. Not now. This world is not the same as it was 30 years ago, nor is the congress
Currently, your insurer (be it an HMO, PPO or fee-for-service) are rationing care in the name of making a profit.
You idiot Conservatives rail about mandated coverage but it's to protect insurers against adverse selection. Are you so foolish that you cannot understand how the elimination of pre-existing condition exclusions requires this? Let me spell it out for you: Joe has no insurance. Joe gets sick. Joe buys insurance. Law says insurer has to take him. Bad for insurers.
@GARN3240 Arguing with people who can't spell and are more interested in laying blame than in solving problems makes my head hurt. You wanna fix health care? Fine, repeal Obamacare and come up with your own solution. I'm sure it'll involve shooting some poor, blameless rats.
Btw, most of the trial lawyers I know are Republican...
@GARN3240 You do not help your cause by spelling incorrectly.
Medicare is perhaps one reason for high health care prices. Another possibility: high-quality care comes at a cost. Another possibility: over-testing and over-treating raise prices for even the most standard treatments. Another possibility: people aren't willing to take care of their own health, and doctors (because of time constraints and self-protection against lawsuits) can't help them either until the problem becomes expensive.
@starsandspice Over-testing can be laid @ the feet of the dhimmicRAT trial lawyers. Docs order every conceivable test in prep for the likely malpractice suit.
Racism is the tool of the communist. Communism cannot thrive without class warfare. Black, brown, red, yellow, white; we are all Americans, There are good and bad people in this world; neither characteristic can be determined by skin color - it is all about attitude. Your attitude suggests that you are susceptible to the ploys and devices of the left. Think for yourself and judge people on their character.
Sorry but this is not believable because of the black docter. It reminds me of television with all the fake black docters. We as a society are always building up the so called minorities self esteem...we treat them like children. And most are now intolerable like spoiled children, it's bullshit! The rest of the video rocks my brain.
Germany seems to have a good system going it has booth universal and private healthcare.
"Out of Germany’s 2,030 hospitals, 790 are publicly owned, while 820 are private non-profits, and 420 are private for-profit. This competition helps to keep hospital costs down and quality of care high."
Hospital beds (per 10000 people) is 83 in Germany and 32 in the US
Total expenditure on health as percentage of GDP for Germany is 10.7%, the US is 15.2%
I love how so many people think that universal health care is a good idea. In Canada it blows. The average wait time to see a doctor in my personal experience is upwards of 6 hours. The comments attempt to discredit this video by claiming it is propaganda. This allows them to get away without doing their homework and still criticizing someone who has. The US health care system likely needs to be overhauled however the proposed measures are not the solution.
Funny how the doctor says that he will now be controlled by this 3rd payer system...doctors are already controlled in what they can and can't do by insurance companies. Obamacare may or may not help the current system - I won't be the judge of that - but it's a joke to pretend that the current system is serving us well.
Also, for future notice, creepy voices are not the best choice for political propaganda!
@starsandspice And the insurance companies are regulated by the government. Do you have any idea why healthcare is so expensive? Because the dhimmicRATs created MediCare. MC pays for 'poor' patients, except they only pay 21% of the bill. The Drs and hospitals raise prices on private insureds and cash patients to offset these losses. DhimmicRATs always cause the problem and then create a solution that makes the problem worse. DhimmicRATs should be deported to North Korea.
@spacer125 Well, how is it unconstitutional? Our founding fathers made it clear that no leader, or legistlation power should be able to control us or force us into buying something. (aka obamacare) with "obamacare" you are forced to by obamacare. being forced into somthing is completley unconstitutional, and agianst the free will of the great american people. Where in the constitution does it state that all men deserve health care? Well, have you read the constitution? I have. Not in there!
Healthcare reform is to open healthcare to more people, and labeling something with the presidents name, isn't an augment.
This is for the greater good. (AkA America)
And, "Our founding fathers made it clear that no leader, or legistlation power should be able to control us or force us into buying something." Please refer to AT&T/ other internet providers and get back to me.
@spacer125 Under Obamacare you are forced to buy healthcare! If not you will be fined. Read the bill! It is not for the greater good cause a majority of americans have healthcare! 26 states are challenging this bill. AT&T/ other internet providers?
@spacer125 You don't get penalized if you choose not to buy AT&T. Under Obamacare, if you choose not to buy insurance, you are penalized. You must see the difference.
The "greater good"? History is full of leaders who acted for what they thought was for the "greater good". Usually those policies have numerous and horrible unintended or, sometimes, intended consequences. Individual liberty and freedom is the only greater good I need.
@spacer125 You just defeated your own argument and admitted there is a difference. Fact is, you are not penalized by the government if you choose not to buy services from AT&T. However, you are penalized by the government if you choose not to buy health insurance. Of course anyone can choose to do anything, however when the government begins to penalize certain choices is when liberty is diminished.
@spacer125 So the point you made regarding AT&T is absolutely worthless based on your analysis. I see. Way to defeat your own argument.
Your second point is that government penalties meant to LIMINT choice and CONTROL private behavior is "liberal as I want it to be" is ridiculous and illogical. Obama FORCING me to act through government control is not freedom. I know you understand this.
Obamacare is the biggest crock of sheet ever foisted upon a free people.
