  • Soooo... Nazi propaganda films survive 3000-4000(depending when this apocalypse happened) years into future? What were they made of? Diamonds?

  • @ceyoteairsoft07 It was the 70's. Isn't it kinda self-explanatory?

  • lol the swastika they use is the actual buhdist sybol for flow. the bad swastika is actaully the reverse of what is shown

  • how was this rated pg in the 1970s

  • Sit there for a couple of hours while I figure it out.... fapfapfap

  • @Sehanort Classic line of the movie, and exactly what every straight male would have said anyways to a girl wearing an outfit like that.

  • The swastika is backardz lol

  • this movie...gave me urges...when i was little 0_0

  • you have got to be kidding me... LOL

  • What exactly did those faries think they were going to do in a fight? A few cans of RAID and they'd all be finished

  • @Shemyaza200 They're a metaphor to the French.

  • I love how they make the guys who enjoy watching Hitler start to have gay tendencies lol.

  • this is the weirdest movie I've ever seen, it requires some bud to truly understand

  • "For Elven and Fairy land, we flyyyy~!" Yeaaaah, that's going to be reeeally effective.

  • this movie has the worst music choice i have ever heard

  • 5:49 cracked up at that shield

  • Ralph Bakshi, early vid- before his version of Lord of the Rings, but same method. The eternal story of good vs. evil- why should it be limited to lord of the rings? And most thought the characters on the "good" side were stolen from a comic series, "Cheech Wizard" in the magazine National Lampoon. On the whole however, esp for 1977, it was an amazing bit of work. Thanks for posting it!

  • black wolf's armies are just scenes from other movies.

  • @conquertheworld08 they did it to save money for working on mutens

  • Clever.

  • Holy shit, Cypress Hill.

  • I love that German song 2:34, say what you will, the Germans can write a motivating bit of music

  • at 3:40 on the left he just shot 1 of his own men

  • Is the monster with the earring supposed to be gay?

  • Stock footage! Our only weakness!

  • OMG!!! OMG!!! NAZIS WITH HORNS, and glowing eyes???

  • Something that always confused me about this movie, and ultimately tends to be my biggest complaint with it. Why do the mutants of Scorch need to dig up ancient propaganda they dont know the meaning of, to be motivated? Surely being, for all intents and purposes, imprisoned in poisonous lands by all the goody elves would stir enough resentment for righteous motivation?

Also, if Black Wolf brought up demons from Hell, dont they already know about WWII?

  • just say no to drugs!

  • and 9:14

    nice

  • 9:12

    nice

  • Oh f**k not even cartoons are safe from nazi propaganda!

  • This movie's animation is ridiculously cheap and great.

  • I'm confused, honestly...who even thought this movie was for kids? Nowhere has anyone said that! There are plenty of animated films that are not meant for children. I mean, especially in the 70s...Robert Crumb kinda scarred me for life...

  • Rename the movie to Hitler und Tits.

  • Before, I said I liked the visuals. Now that has gone down the drain as well. Lazy fucks.

  • @Broommaster2000 But at least the music is funky.

  • I like the big ol' teapot in the bg at 10 seconds in.

  • there are someparts in this movie that have been copyed from the movie "zulu" :/

  • @666nacnud Yeah, those rotoscoped scenes are from several older movies. There's a lot of Alexandr Nevsky in there too.

  • @666nacnud You mean SHAKA Zulu ??

  • Does anyone feel as if they've vicariously taken LSD just by watching this?

  • 3:37

This is how I envision what a typical Teabagger rally to look like.

  • Eleanor’s kind of thick, I know the camera puts-on 15Lbs but....

  • Man they really sneak a lot of tits into this movie don't they?

  • At 4:04 its Xena The Fairy Warrior Princess ! haha !

  • i was pretty freakin shocked to see hitler in a kids movie...haha people of the 70's were/ are nuts. lets get back to nature dude

  • @TheJazzypants Don't assume that it's a kids movie just because it's animated. This is definitely meant for the older crowd.

  • my buddy duct-taped his little sister to a chair and made her watch this T.T

  • Just wait their for 5 hours while I'll think! Ahhaha sick ass shit right there!!!

  • Look! Future mutated nazis! Yaaayy!

  • I dig the funk guitar during the battle intro scene. It fits perfectly while clashing at the same time.

  • NAZIS.....the ultimate bad guy!

  • Animated movies and cartoons don't mean they're for kids, Family Guy is for teens, Superjail! is for adults, there's cartoons for every age

  • @16falloutboy The director of The Wizards was pissed people told him he couldn't make a kids movie, so he made this to prove them wrong. So no it wasn't meant for adults it's entire design was for children.

  • O_O there's Nazis in this movie, that's really bad

  • I think that wizard was tryin to get his 'wand' to work like it use to when he asked the fairy girl to sit all sexy in front of him

  • Racist Bakshi was such a lazy cheaper. Most of this is comprised of illustrated stills and rotoscoping. I like the premise to a degree but Bakshi is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to animation quality.

  • @Misterioso Lazy? Now, you can accuse Bakshi of a lot of things, but the rotoscoping and stills were not done out of laziness so much as a tiny budget and not enough manpower to accommodate his vision (the animation team consisted of eight people. Compare that to Disney at any point in history). That was the price he paid for full artistic control of the movie, and yeah, it's very jarring, but it's unique while still conveying the story.

As for the racist accusation...eh. Believe what you wish.

  • This can not be a kids movie... what the hell!

  • could it be any more crossover?!?

  • That wizard's a skeevy old man.

  • They must be Jewish Elves.

  • At the beginning. That music is so 70s.

  • 5:34 are they attacking the faeries using the power of Funk?

  • After seeing this, I asked Ralph Bakshi how much he hated children, but all he did was give me a drawing of these dead cats in a pool.

    ...

This is why I don't watch anything by this man.

  • Arrows, spears, shields, and axes vs

    Tanks and guns

  • That marching music made gave me the urge to strut. But what ensued was "What Theee F--k"...

  • funky score

  • Listen kids; PTSD is bad.

  • Cracked

  • Now weez gots us a mighty WAAAGH!!!

  • 4:54

I want the pipe and to smoke what's in it!

Then afterwards have some elf made Keebler cookies! LOL

  • it's a dark film, but man, this is some of the best animation ever!

  • 5:34 ... Pimps on the march.

  • Cracked...

  • @jackwearing Yup

  • semi-nude fairies, stock footage of hitler, dwarves... what the fuck is going on here. its like lord of the rings on crack

  • @TRIARII117 lol! i was thinking about something like " this movie is like the middle ages mixed with gangster wars of the 70's "

  • @TRIARII117 Funny, because the year after, Bakshi (the maker of this film) did a 1978 adaptation of the Lord of the Rings...which really WAS on crack. It's almost entirely rotoscoped, the Balrog is a guy in a gorilla suit with butterfly wings, and Boromir is a Viking in a speedo.

If you do decide to watch it, don't bring your brain with you. And PLEASE don't pay any attention to those lunatics claiming that it's better than Peter Jackson's film adaptation. Those guys seriously need help. ;)

  • @BigBrotherMateyka Your description sure as hell made it sound better.

I want to see a fairy gorilla balrog.

  • @dathwampeer

    watch?v=vNEXbb5tnm0&feature=related

    At 6:50.

  • @BigBrotherMateyka Yea, I've just watched it. I immediately went looking for it after reading your comment.

    Hilarious.

Although, from what I watched of the film itself, it seems like Peter Jackson took a lot of inspiration for it. Some of the scenes look movement for movement similar.

  • @BigBrotherMateyka it's not like the Bakshi film is a close call to the Jackson one, there is moments in the Bakshi one which totally beats the Jackson one in terms of execution, it's not BETTER, they are equally good, i am a fan of the Bakshi one, but i do like the Jackson one, because i KNOW when i am watching a pretty damn good movie.

  • @TRIARII117 This is a Ralph Bakshi film my dear.

  • @TRIARII117 Ralph bakshi happend

  • The Sci-Fi channel used to show this before they turned to shit or as I like to say went 21st century style. Seems the real horrific future is mainly crappy television for adults and children. Now if you think this is a tad controversial then check out Coonskin if you can find it. That pretty much caused a riot when it was first shown.

  • @Silkie341 You prefer to say "21st century style" over "shit"?

  • Evinrude the dragonfly @ 4:15!

  • At 0:49, why the hell are they carrying trebuchets when they got several tanks? By the way, what happened to all of the tanks and planes they were making earlier?

  • this is so trippy! especially when its just blackwolf's face looking around! D:

  • Is that a meerschaum pipe the old elf has? It's very nice in any case. I love the funky background music for the demon army at 5:48.

  • 5:48 funkiest army ever

  • This is intense stuff.

  • For every one that has an argument going on about this film, needs to understand that this is art every one looks at it from a different point of view.My view is that we as humans need to learn from history and understand that no evil is ever good.Life is a lesson its only a mistake when you have learn nothing from it.

  • @chimos01 Those who fail to learn their history - are doomed to repeat it.

Is that what you're getting at??

  • Damn those elves got fucked up

  • I love rotoscoping.

  • @DeathComesOutToPlay

And you furthermore do a grave disservice to those who were by playing it....but do yourself a favor and pick up the comic "Maus" sometime...or at least look it up online via google and read it there. It'll make the mouse-mask a bit easier to see in the mirror. )

  • @DeathComesOutToPlay

Or perhaps you're insulting your own race by thinking that _anything_ could possibly undermine or belittle the holocaust? : )

It's stuff like this that guarantees we won't forget the lesson of Nazi Germany--otherwise it just ends up being a bunch of black and white film strips and the occasional overrated Steven Spielberg film.....

All fantasy has basis in reality, LOTR has WW1 all through it.

And put your Jew card away-no one's impressed. You weren't in the camps.

  • @DeathComesOutToPlay *Snort* You're an idiot.

  • Poor Peawiddle.

  • @DeathComesOutToPlay

That was entirely for making a point. Otherwise, I would not have done that.

  • @Vovk3 You guys are both ninnies. The stuff BlackWolf uses isn't even confined to WWII, let alone the Nazi extermination of the Jews. But by all means, argue about that.

And by the way Death person, Jewish people who have a personal grudge against Germany and such are like blacks who are still upset about slavery. You weren't even there; get over it.

  • @DeathComesOutToPlay

Guess what? No one here cares what you think. Personally, I don't give a shit about the Jews and their attention-grabbing whines about their previous struggles. Some of have our own people to mourn over. Some of us have our own historic tragedies. Memories which aren't about to be canceled out because of the whines of another people.

  • @DeathComesOutToPlay Yeah, that's...that is literally what it's implying. That's the main storyline. Nuclear war destroyed civilization and mutated most humans into goblin-like mutants. Did you not watch part 1 of 8? And why would Jews get mad that the bad guys are portrayed as Nazis?

  • @DeathComesOutToPlay The Movie is supposed to take place in the future and the villains have apparently found a lot of materials in Germany from the Nazi era.

  • The power of propaganda; Black Wolf successfully used nazi propaganda to change his minions from a bunch of losers with no will to fight hard into energised bastards with the will to conquer the world.

  • 1:03 Zulu warriors?!?!?

  • 7:41

  • this movie is not for kids lol

  • @manhanz123 Yeah! Now that I'm older, I recently decided to look for movies I used to watch as a kid, now I know that Robocop (The first one), this cartoon, Tygra Fire and Ice, and all of those weren't meant for kids. Which makes me wonder, why did our parents let us watch this back then? Maybe because they were lazy and let the tv educate us?XD

  • @manhanz123

Yet this film was rated PG at the time, lol.

  • @manhanz123 Who said it was geared towards children? There is something called a sub-genre and it's titled "Adult Animation".

  • Who thinks Ellinore is the hottest toon fairy next to Crysta from Ferngully?

  • groooovy soundtrack!

    God, I love this movie!

  • interesting film.."the ancient secret of war- the key to creating hysteria: FEAR"..lots of hidden messages in this for social control, order out of chaos, etc.

  • 7:52 penis house

  • I'm trying to figure out why my mom and dad took me to this movie when I was 7?

  • 4:44 Pubitle?

  • Elinore is hot!

  • @vairocana23 yes this was quit a fucked up film......

  • I want that pipe!

  • This is pretty brutal and awesome really

  • 6:04 AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! and i thought nazi ZOMBIES were bad! they aint got SHIT on nazi DEMONS!!!

  • this movie is so depressing.

  • I love when that funky groove sets in.. fuck it I would go to war if that were plaing on the battlefield! way more motivating than that nazi-crap!

  • that projector he used to create holograms is nuts. kind of like the project bluebeam conspiracy theory.

  • The Swastika does not mean anything evil what so ever it's wayyy older than germany , thousands of years older, and it doesnt' matter which way it's turned they both mean good things. look it up. the nazi's used it because of the ancient germanic tribes used it, it's been found in almost every part of the planet in ancient civilizations. it's a vortex symbol.

  • i wonder if this film will synch up with pink floyd...

  • Animation was so better pre-Disney times (even if that is post-Disney). Sex, nazism, perversions, war, I only miss drugs.

  • @lalishelaide you forget this was meant for acid and shrooms!!!! O_o

  • This movie ties in how people can become overwhelmed when caught up in a (political) frenzy. By layering this story using Nazi tyranny as an example was genius Many people do not realize that the civilian population of Germany did not all agree w/National Socialism/spelled/Naziisn.Most German citizens were frightened into becoming Hitler's (and his mentally ill gang) puppets. The Nazi example shows the immediate fear & intimidation upon the elves & fairies, much Hitler's war machine .War suks

  • @tamaranow Well put, friend, well put!

  • @heatstroke2008 Thanks.

  • this movie is nothing compared to Bakshi's earlier stuff like "Heavy Traffic" and "Coonskin". Now those movies are messed up

  • I like the human mutants green army gear and gas mask's, I side with them lol

  • at 5:34 that beats reminds me of the 70s song do it till your satisfied...man the 70s ruled too.

  • I can't believe this was rated PG back in the day

  • Guys.. Guys... I think I'm trippin'. I think I'm trippin', yo.

  • i believe hitler is an ANTI-CHRIST!!!!

  • Psychological warfare. Clever. -Nods- But seriously, if you're gonna base your evil army on something... Hitlers about as bad as it gets.

  • oh great. its hitler :(

  • OK, this part lost me... throwing in the towel on this one.

  • ok ok , i understand that the director is a jew , but because of this he should fill this movie with that nazi shit?-im starting to dislike this movie a littlebit now

  • 2:14

Ok I laughed really hard at that

    "GOOOODSSS"

  • Yeah, I know explosions are cool, but do you have to go to war for it? lol

  • @vairocana23 Yeah, what the fuck.

Just found out about this movie.

It didn't take me long to realize that the director Bakshi is a Jew.

Born in Israel. So go figure.

  • Dictator in the sky: Raises morale of your demon troops and lowers morale of enemy troops.

  • What the hell?!

  • It all comes back around to Hitler's Germany, dosent it...

  • looks like tf2 on crack..

  • We all find her erotic, son. We all do ...

  • Ralph Bakshi is a better maker of animation than Disney, Bluth, and everybody in general. It's a sin that he isn't the king of animation today.

  • What the fuck?

  • this shit wouldn't even hit theatre's it is soo violent and nasty. but it's great. That fairy was asking for it all the time.

  • I remember when I used to watch this all the time when I was 4yrs old I loved this movie a lot o.o...now I watch it and I'm like "Holy crap I used to watch this?! Wow!"

  • D:

*crawls into under bed and stays there*

  • I lol'd, when the Nazi-movie came =D

I lol'd, when the silly music started on Enemy's march.

  • wow old movies are fucked up

  • i like the way black wolf says GGGOOOOODDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

he looks so funny sayin it

  • @epearl8 Don't be rediculous. Dances with wolves came out way after this. As far as I can tell It was written after this movie was made. ... Ohhh, your talking about that Avatar. Its also very similar to 'FernGully' but alot of movies are similar in idea. Doesn't mean the movie doesn't deserve big bucks.

  • This have so much blood and sex, I laughed so hard when at 9:14, he's a dirty old wizard, looking at those boobs...

  • This is soo cheap...the evil wizard is a nazi..we can see tank, which turns in Medival Siege Weapons.....

  • speaking of avatar watch 4:14 lol

  • @epearl8 Yeah, it is rather strange that Wizards is getting quite a few negative comments based on its philosophy when the film Avatar basically has the same philosophy and is the highest grossing film of all time. I think Wizards is the more entertaining of the two and the most re watchable.

  • what a lazy jackass why can't he just turn the thing himself ?

  • Ok... Nazism!?! Have to stop this shit now... Just look like an overall bad trip to me... hug,,, bleh...
