Man... I found this because I am stupid enough to try searching for myself on youtube... And since I am also Alex Moore, I found this video. But boy am I glad I did. As a musician myself... I have MUCH respect for this man. Wow. I love to watch blues musician and just feel the soul they have. And what a piano player. Great stuff. I dig it.
@SakkeusKukkonen Make sure y'all keep that bullshit in helsinki too. This is america. We don't like that type of shit. Not even from this guy. The whistling was terrible and detracted from the music.
@3rdPR I'd like to see how bold you'd be face to face. Anyone can be bad over a computer you fucking skinhead reject. If I ever met you face to face, I bet I'd beat your ass into a goddamn coma.
@3rdPR You are a waste of my time. You can't do a goddamn thing to me you little faggot. You're probably on the sex offender's registry in your town. So shut the fuck up.
I first heard your granpa on an LP in the 60,s live recording by an English researcher/author, Paul Oliver, on an LP , "Conversation with the Blues", Alex spoke for a while about Chock Houses, or barrelhouses, then did Chock House Boogie, with great pianna, & a very infectious laught at the end, he was really enjoyin playin. I also have some of his pre WW2 records + 2 from after war, both great tracks.
He was real good, does any one in your family still play blues?
Alex Moore died in his sleep on a city bus in Dallas in 1989. I was the county morgue attendant when they brought him in. He was dressed in a coat and tie, very distinguished looking. He had a button on his lapel that said "superstar" and he also had a smile on his face. I learned later that night who he was and I have never forgotten him. I went out the following day and ordered a cassette tape of his music. Been a fan ever since.
