Ok, this is BALLROOM (American/Arthur Murray, not international ballroom) Tango. Very different from Argentine Tango (in Argentina, it's just tango, & what's in that video is "ballroom")

Cool song, cool chorey, good looking dancers and costumes. seen better performances, and it is good to see ballroom starting to get cooler and more modern

Piece of Crap dancing! Kind of a mix between Modern dance and little bit of everything from Arg. Tango/Ballroom moves. If it is a Modern dance, it lacks the creativity and style. If it is Arg Tango/Ballroom, it lacks the form as one other commenter has said.

Does anyone know what show this was from? I remember seeing it on TV and I'd love to find some of the other dances that were apart of it, especially the one where the couple wore yellow karate(or some other form of fighting uniform) and performed a choreographed dance battle. I guess sexy is relative, but I think that someone can certainly be sexy without being a frilly, sparkly, delicate flower. I personally think it's a sort of raw, wild sexiness in this case. I think she's incredibly sexy.

Can't you distinguish this performance from those typical tango dance?

Their movement is somewhat rough and brisk and domineering....the characters of the punks they are trying to portray. Meaning, their costume goes with their dance style.

ANd you have to wear those kind of dress and hairstyle and makeup to fully show who the dancers are supposed to be.

If you are talking about the dance itself, yes you are right. Actually it's tango. But I guess what the label Punk Tango indicates is the kind of personality and character portrayed and showed by the dancers; the way they dress, their actions, their connection, attitude...it all said they're punk couple making an attempt to redefine the tango dance.

And I agree that this kind of tango is modern with a lot of twist/new styles.

Frankly, I think that this a wonderful take on the Wade Robson choreography. If a criticism is to be made it would be that I think the last bit could have been a bit sharper.

This is by far my favorite tango. It was just simply amazing and I really like the modern twist. I wish the video was a little better because the facial expressions of the dancers made this dance phenomenal. Especially when she runs her hand over his face. Sizzzzle!

Yes I do agree. The video upload limits I ran into at the time of post limited the size and time and did a diservice to the intro which had to be cut by about 30 seconds (however I wanted to keep that walkout ending that I felt was more provocative). And I totaly agree about her facial expresions in particular. Realy intense. She was totaly in character, like she was going to eat him alive. I still get a kick out of it.

I'd JUST finished watching that 2 hours ago, and it (for ME, anyway -- the rest of my family didn't much care for it lol) was THE most creative performance (next to Mazen Hamza and Irina Sarukhanyan's "Strobe's Nanafushi (Satori Mix)" by Kodo "kung fu style" dance they'd performed). AND I love the song. So it works out. LoL
