hammer horror films were the best. so much better than the crap that passes for horror vampire films today like that twilight bullshit. this is what a real vampire film is supposed to look like. beautifully photgraphed sharp acting crisp dialog spoken in proper english chilling dramatic musical score....these people making horror films today could/should learn a thing or 10 from these masterpieces of filmmaking.
wow, this movie is just GREAT!!!!! After seeing Van Helsing, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Twilight, Interview with the Vampire, Queen of the Damned and Underworld movies I kind of ran out of good vampire movies...
hammer was regarded as somewhat brutal and bloody these days.how times have changed.the movies gained something through the years but if you like your movies more sophisticated check "The innocents" a robert wise film with deborah kerr in the star role or "kiss of the vampire", another hammer production .
Ur right eniminx muvies nowadays can be shit but u hav to admit da action in the old muvies can be rather shit. I mean a tap on the shoulder send u flying across the room
We have had gay times here balls, dinner parties, cocktails and last but not least.... Penis butt. Oh what gay times there were, we were all so very gay back then
La venue de YVONNE MONLAUR qui tombera sous le charme du beau baron , MAIS QUEL SACRE baron ? LE CHARME qui degage pour ses victimes , bons baisers a tous .
But, vampire films seem to always be creating NEW ways to get rid of them.
Iin Hammer's two modern Dracula films, Van Helsing stabs Dracula with a silver knife and tries to shoot him with silver bulets before being knocked-out.
In "House of Dark Shadows" the police create at least 100 silver bullets in about two days that must "strike the heart".
Hammer made very impressive set designs for films... by the way, totally adequate for its fabulous cast of talented artists, thank you very very much for sharing this jewel with us.
"Gay times here"...man, how I WISH I could go back to those days when that was used to describe happiness. Much better times. You can take all this damn internet, cell phones, ipods and all this tech crap, and I'd give it up in e SECOND to go back to those better times. Today's world SUCKS.
You know. My father lived in times where none of those things existed. Though I come from this generation I really admire and enjoy the movies of the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Today's movies are major crap!
@John22133 Yeah. And no indoor plumbling, no central heating, no antibiotics, no fit sanitation, high infant mortality, low life expectancy higher education reserved only for the rich and the world filled with ignorance and prejudice. But don't worry, some things never change.
Ah, sweet Marianne does such mistake by going to help Baron - he is no suicidal nor mentally ill... Although I love the fact that she is not some beep and they have written personality to match her looks....
Surely a Vampire could change it's form to get the
Iron fetter from of it's Leg??, the locks of previous
Coffins and Cells simply fell off. I think the old Woman brought the Young beauty to feed the Vamp for a while.I know you "must" suspend disbelief but sometimes it's taking it a little too far.Like the 90 year old Sylvester Stallone does
when he keeps winning the Heavyweight Championship, seen as he is only 5 foot 4 it's
not a bad achievement is it??.Oh what am I going on about?.
la belle rencontre avec le baron le chateau et tres angoisant normal . dommage que le baron nous prenne pas sous son emprise .. yvonne monlaur femme classe et si belle a la fois .raymond de marseille
Wow! A nearly flawless film. I've seen this many times and it never gets tiresome. The elaborate set pieces and the great performances by all, make this a pleasure to behold!
Thanks for uploading. I grew up watching Hammer films and loved them. It's too bad these hardly ever come on TV any more. Among the things I appreciate most about Hammer films are their vibrant color and scoring; they were (and are) a feast for the eyes and ears.

is still a great picture. Thanks for the upload great stuff.

Supposedly, the reason Baron Meinster couldn't shapeshift out of the iron cuff is because of some mythical vulnerability evil spirits have to iron.

yes we have totally bastardized a word that was so appropriately defined before. Now it is an insulting vile word.
such is the sad ways of slang.

thats why i said awesome. i really like the old British language and expressions they used.
