Eye of newts don't work as you said, but the problem with it is you cannot be level 1, so you could not be level 1 and be selling eye of newts, because you start out with 10 HP, you start out with 3 combat.

You can make higher level runes with the pure essence, the rune essence is for your standard runes like air, fire, water, and earth which are cheaper runes. Once you start making nature runes and law runes (member) you must use you pure essence which makes the rune more expensive but you can still profit from both types with correct levels.

If you would also like to make some money you need around a 100k. You buy bolt of cloth from the sawmill for 650gp sell at the grand exchange for around 800gp. Around 150-200gp profit per bolt of cloth or you can make teak planks also for money from the sawmill as well that is around 100-150gp profit each it works just takes some time.

i know an easier spot for green drags, follow the path from barb village to edville and go as far west as you can until you see the hill, cross the ditch and keep going NW til you see dark wizards, go norht past those and go in the ditch by the white fungus
