  • What a MESSSSSS

  • "Anyone who trades liberty for security deserves neither liberty nor security" ~Benjamin Franklin

Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, etc are actually the very things HK is talking about in that quote you used. ‘Promulgated’ fear is going to be a very useful tool to destabilize not only the US but the world. Btw. You should really look into MJ’s work. He has been talking about the these things and other such subjects through much of his work. Interesting vid.

  • We are still distracted. Every day it's something new.

  • A cute, informed girl, you rock!

  • STALINATOR

  • Oh ya btw ur face is retarted.

  • @DarkAntiU94 I. LOVE. that you can't even spell the word "retarded."

  • @rebekahj

    Haha ur a dumbass.

    I meant "retarted" not "retarded".

The word "retarted" applies to an individual which suffers from such a high level of failure that the individual my be mistaken for a Mentally Retarded individual.

  • @DarkAntiU94

    *you're.

    *who

    *may

Awesome, you're quoting random sh*t at me. You obviously win.

  • I'm afraid I feel that the short answer to your question is no. And we won't learn our lesson until it's too late.

  • New World Order

  • This is so true! The news and entertainment business are one...There is no separation anymore! And the 3 or 4 tycoons who own it all use distraction as their weapon of choice...Have you noticed that the "Breaking News" ticker has been abused to such an extent that it doesn't serve a purpose anymore? What isn't breaking news to them? If we are relying on the "news" to tell us what is important in this world, then we are all in really big trouble! Great postings by the way..Keep em coming ; )

  • Wow!

    You're quite amazing!

Could you send me/post the Kissinger quote?

    This is crucial information!

    Thx!

  • Just google it, it'll be linked about a hundred times :)

  • That was a very beautiful thought. I hadn't even thought about it like that... It's true. 100% true. And I'm so ashamed in the comments that this video is getting. It's people like them that this video is directed at. The king of pop died, yes. But he lived a decent life. but what about those 18 year old soldiers who are fighting for their country? For the freedom of the exact people who are commenting. When are they going to get the respect MJ got? Give some respect, people.....

  • well since Michal Jackson is dead little boys can sleep good at night.

  • sucker

  • rudeness

  • ...so did you even watch the video?

  • no one will because no one will know when im dead:P

  • i don't like it when women thinks they can think. please, just think about michael jackson and his songs.

leave higher thinking to thinkers. thank you.

  • lol. Higher thinkers who can capitalize, huh?

  • Please, don't laugh. just think about michael jackson. you can not think.

  • We are going into the Great Depression.

The economy has been shrinking at annual rate of 5% since October of last year. A half million jobs were lost last month and the unemployment rate is now greater than 10% in many states.

A few years of this can lead to massive unemployment and a banking collapse. This is going to shake up everybody.

  • I agree, under Obama's watch the economy has really collapsed.

  • hi teagarden, this economic collapse is challenging all economists, Republican and Democrat.

  • The economy was already on its way to a collapse while under the Bush administration. Obama is just dealing with a sinking ship. He can't save it, all he can do is frantically try to bail the water. It's a shame that he could not have been elected at a better time.

  • I turned on the tube the other day and was disturbed by the non stop coverage of M.J. I haven't turned on the T.V. since. When the situation in Iran was escalating I noticed the non stop coverage of that as well. I then thought of the complete crap and bias that was coming from the media during the conflict in South Ossetia. The tube is a powerful propaganda machine mixed in with various circus events. Researching what or who it is that influences the major media networks is essential.

  • Governor Palin has taken her first giant step towards becoming President in 2012!!

    God bless,

    President Palin 2012!!

  • Nothing to do with the video dude...

  • Actually rebekah, the theme of your video is about the tabloidish-type news revolving exclusively about MJ. Right?

My post were about what i thought was newsworthy. But of course, you already know that. Rather, it deeply disturbs you that Palin has taken a step foward to being elected President in 2012.. Just as i predicted. Moreover, the seriousness of the swine flu is just as i predicted.

Now please, i will ask you, as i have the other haters recently, just leave me be!

    Im tired!

  • Ah... whatever dude. You need to get high or get sober, I can't figure out which it is.

  • mi uncle died that day ... sorry yu ct change anything iyt already happend ... buh yu made a great point ... keep uyp dah gud work ...

  • the american public is alot more concerned with celbretards than about what is going on in the middle east or the energy tax (what they ought to call the cap) its pretty sad how stupid our nation is these days and i really like that quote at the end hope all is well

    Frogi

  • Again, i repeat real news is the swine flu. Attempts to deny the truth and devastating threat of the swine flu is being decimated by the recent events of the last 24 hours in Argentina, and Great Britian. In addition, the swine flu has apparently jumped to dogs.

I repeat, when the swine flu MUTATES "again" during our flu season, most will in horror scratch their empty heads and ask how come they werent warned. YOU WERE!!

  • To answer your question shortly: we are pretty much fucked. You can't fix stupid

  • good point!

  • your still a tiny glimmer of hope for this dieing nation. keep up the good work!

  • Great job!

  • Right on!

  • In a bookstore today. All isles were filled except for the isle containing the Bible. Empty. Probably the most important book and no one reading it. Amazing! This is where i sit to read books. Always quiet there.

  • Personally, i am so obsessed by what the destroyers of the constitution have done, it was a break for me to think about MJ and Farah and forget about saving the world for a change.

  • Absolutely nailed it. Thats how the world seems to have been set up.Distract the masses with trivial stuff.Celebrities are way too worshipped, and forget about more important issues as in the ones you mention.

  • The most coherent video that i have seen. Six months ago, the narrative was how Iran was getting the bomb, and that we may have to war. In the midst of this possibility being nullified, one would think that the world would be more concern about Iran's future.

I will concede a day of MJ coverage. But now the media seems to be preparing us for a year long saga on: who gets MJ's kids, who get the Beetles Album, who gets the ranch. All is shallow, and meaningless at the end of the day

  • Thank You

  • I am not surprised, but well, we are all different. Some off us care about politics, but there is many who give a damn about politics, and the media knows it as well, and MJ's death is getting a lot of viewers, and therefor media prioritze it ahead of important stuffs going on, like what you mentioned, and also the Honduras-situation. Sad, but true.

  • I was thinking the exact same thing as you are saying. so many important things going on and all people care about is stars. It is sad about the deaths, but people are not in reality. They just passed the biggest tax and slave bill ever, and not one peep. Just about MJ. Thanks for confiming what I am thinking.

  • I think it is okay for someone to step down from their soapbox from time to time.

  • good video Rebekah!

  • Stupid american media.. -.-

Everyone knows now what Irans leaders names are..but not china, not south africa etc....thats because media chooses what information you are to recieve :p

  • Your exactly right

  • Well done, the quote at the end pretty much sums it up.

  • Great vid! Keep it up!

  • Obama and the Democrats passed the energy bill by 2 votes in the House. No MEDIA Coverage at all except for Glenn Beck!

  • I was actually following the news with North Korea when i learned about Jackson's death, it took 2 days to see it again.

  • Well put, keep seeking and spreading truth. btw, you are really cute.

  • I agree with you completely!

  • I completely agree with you. More important things are occurring around the world at the moment. The sad thing is, the news outlets want ratings and Michael Jackson equals ratings.

  • All of the media misdirection has made many people forget that the rest of the world even exists.

  • You brilliantly put into words what I was thinking. Thank you.

  • yep yep

  • thank you! You hit the nail on the head with this video. Too bad most ofour population of 300 milion + have no clue or just dont care about their rights or perceived rights. great video. plese keep trying to help wAke our population

  • Our founding fathers created something that had never been tried in the history of mankind. They created the framework for a nation where the power lay with the people and not the rulers. Their vision was a place where ALL men were created equal by their creator, and they acknowledged that all men were endowed with certain inalienable rights- life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

  • These ideals were so embraced by these founding fathers that they were willing to sacrifice everything- their fortunes, their families, and their lives. Definitely serious business. In their brilliance, they laid the groundwork for a self-sustaining, self-determining government body

  • They developed the greatest document in the history of mankind, the Constitution. It is the intent of the Constitution to prevent the government from becoming burdensome to the general public by keeping the power with the people. In other words, the government should fear the people, the people shouldnt fear the government.

  • Okay. Lets fast-forward 200+ years and see where we are. We can look and see past mistakes by the founding fathers and their successors. Slavery is the obvious mistake. In true American-governmental procrastination, we failed to deal with a critical issue and passed this along to later generations, and we all know what happened when we tried to settle that issue.

  • The more I read about the freedoms that the founding fathers had given me, I begin to realize how many freedoms I have either lost or have never been bestowed upon my generation. I see more and more of these freedoms eroding away. I agreed to write a paper regarding these lost freedoms, but as I was formatting this paper, I realized that there are so many examples, it is hard to decide where to begin.

  • Does any of that lack of focus surprise you? :(

  • Ah - so there is hope! Great to see some wise words on young shoulders... encouraging to say the least!

  • I don't think cap and trade is really all that important. How about a coup on the president of Honduras by a former graduate of the School of the Americas? Now that's something worth paying attention to.

Still, there are even more important things, undoubtedly, that nobody has noticed, that we'll notice months from now, when it's too late.

Isn't it time that we call for the CIA to be abolished?

  • good true video keepm it up

  • I think I'm in love.

  • 5 Star video

  • Great points as always... I'm kind of concerned that Iran coverage has suddenly vanished from the media (at least while I've had it on for the past 3 days). So did the protests fizzle out, or did the Ayotollah have them all shot in the streets? I don't know; finding out what's going to happen to Michael Jackson's kids (that I'm just told aren't even his!) and whether he had a valid will or not or what medications he was taking, they're all apparently STILL much more important.

  • She's spot on! The great unwashed masses are a bunch of stupid and idiot baboons who prefer to watch garbage TV and drink their beer, assuming they can still afford it.

  • That quote from Kissinger at the end is typical of that troll, as I read it I could hear him saying it in his gruff little troll voice. He also told the Russians that Americans would be disarmed later this year, I hope he plans to personally help by going door to door. xD

  • People seem to have forgotten about Farrah Fawcett, too, and Billy Mays.

It may seem as if we have put other things aside, but the majority of people don't mourn for THAT long, over a celebrity. Not only that, there are people who could honestly care less. I believe those who have positions running the government care more about the important issues you've mentioned, but briefly paid their respects.

  • MJ had great PR Iran doesn't

  • You hit the nail on the head again Bek, I don't actually think the gov't had MJ bumped off, but it wouldn't surprise me either. It seemed to work as a great diversion for the crap and trade bill, but then again most brainwashed zombie Americans would only need another episode of dancing with the stars to make them ignore what matters. MJ is probably teaching his ex father-in-law how to moon walk and eating peanut butter and nanner sandwiches on a private island somewhere lol

  • Im sure the cherubs are jumping ship to get away from him.. ^^)

  • Great video.

I made a video about why I believe Michael Jackson is getting so much publicity while there are extremely important things going on in the country and in the world. I think it boils down to people starting to feel guilty for picking on him for the past 15+ years.

"One death is a tragedy; one million is a statistic" - Joseph Stalin

  • Yeah, all of these deaths are just a big distration from what is realy going on and what is realy important.

  • I totally agree! You made some great points!!!!
