  • temazoo de jarre!

  • Jarre is a genius composer!

  • This song should be the official soundtrack of the 2011 Arab Spring

  • in our dance group i was dance under this song

  • He was a cool dude back then.

    Still quite spritely now actually!

  • Ney: Kudsi Ergüner

  • IT IS IN PRACTICE NOW BIG TIME, ACROSS THE ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST!

Great foretelling of what's happening now! Bravo, Jean Michel Jarre!

Is the speaker from 1:14 speaks Arabic? What does he say?

  • @childmoon2000 FYI, Jarre was not the composer of this music... I know for a fact but won't tell in the name of business, as usual Big fish eat small fishes... (I'll say he was involved in the production though)

Nevertheless, Jarre is a genius and one of the greatest composers and pioners of all time.

  • @Karimodecrop "Revolutions" contains reworked samples of an unpublished composition by Turkish musician Kudsi Erguner, which Jarre had acquired from engineer Xavier Bellenger. Erguner took his case to court and won a modest indemnity. That said, I think Jarre and his brother completed and wrote most of the album.

  • GLOBAL REVOLUTIONS

  • Allez un petit message en francais, pour ne pas perdre de vu que Jarre est... francophone ^^

    Génial!

  • Great!

  • The whole Docklands concert was not a live performance. Every track is too perfect and exactly the same as the studio versions

  • @CheefRoberts I agree.

  • ha ha revolution hi

  • My friend didn't like this when our music teacher played this at music's class when we we're studying musics history and specifically 1980's synthpop/electronic music. I thought it was cool that our teacher found this :D

  • aunque lo que hiciera después es apoteósico, en este concierto JMJ está en la cima de su creatividad

  • I don't know. I was just giving my view on what I hear and feel when I listen to this music, because I'm in the west.

I suppose whatever society you are in there will be ideals of changing it from some corners of said society, its human nature.

'Revolution': a drastic and far-reaching change in ways of thinking and behaving; "the industrial revolution was also a cultural revolution."

Also the overthrow of a government by those who are governed.

  • It is my personal anthem since 1988

  • human no human revolution !!! open your mind souvenir souvenir - great song !!!

  • What did J.M. Jarre in your opinion want to express by this track? For me, it's a depiction of life in some islamo-fundamentalistic country...

  • I've never thought of Star Wars that way...

  • For me its the depiction of life in the west - we give the outward impression of being free, but in fact we are all trapped.

Revolution against what traps us has been man's dream for centuries.

  • OK, but then, why the oriental chants and instruments? The term "revolution" significates here something orthodox or fundamental.

  • I really doubt it's that specifically aimed at any one religion or culture, it's simply about the build up that precipitates a revolution...perhaps even the French Revolution (he is French remember!)

  • Great!

  • Fantastic JMJ video... wow... 5 stars!

  • Listen to the '' Flying Steps'' We are electric! Outch! Russia come's in style!

  • Nota: We have a really poor representation on a Expo of Wharhol art here in Montreal. I was waiting for more about him. It was just a facing... Nothing like going to New-York to find his place.

  • I remember '' Optical race '' album.

  • id love to own that guitar/synth he has it looks badass!

  • this is a great piece of music.

and it might be time to put it to practice

  • where you can download this clipss!!!?

  • I recall this song because was the jingle adopted by a channel of Televisa for broadcast the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Saudi Arabia 1989.

  • destionation docklands....

  • for two darn good resons: the voicecorder revolution cut snip and the rain rain rain during the concert en France.
