Hey guys I really want to get into longboarding but not sure the size of board to get or what board company to buy from im 5'11 and just want to surf around with it please give me some advice

Just a basic 9'6 will do you fine, if your just starting out you dont need anything fancy

cant really recommend a particular brand from country to country , your budget will probably decide that, anything over 9feet 2 inches should do. get a nice big fin too... will keep it nice and stable good for learning and get some swimming in too because you will do a LOT of paddling

I'm the same height. I weigh about 175

I just bought this nice 9'8" One World Noserider longboard and it fits me perfectly. I love it.

i guess it really all depends on your style.

Anything from 9'0" to 9'8" will do just fine.

dont get anything bigger than 9'8" or you might have a problem weighing it down when you get hit with the wash.

I tried my friend's beastly 11'0" board and just got swept backwards toward the shore by the wash.
