Thanks for your comments! He didn't wear eyeglasses for 10 months, but it wasn't reflected in these videos because most of the time we didn't record with his eyeglasses on.
Gremlins just ate my last message so now I have to start over. Time is short, so here's as follows - "Great Job!" Gremlins are Freeloaders. I hate Freeloaders. This is the Op. posth. Waltz in A minor by Chopin. I taught this to a 17 y.o. grade 8 boy. You only play it about 5 times more musically than he used to! Chopin would have loved this. One of the biggest pleasures of my life is helping people with their piano skills. If I were your 1-2-1 piano teacher I would be a happy man!
very very very nice, It's the best waltz I've listened from a children, I dont think are mistakes but a start of chopin's interpretation, well done Charlie you will be big soon.
How nice! Very good job so far. Now work on R.H. fingering (avoid thumbs on black keys). Those trills are supposed to be played on the beat--not before for beat. He is SO MUSICAL!
Thanks a lot! I'll check his fingering on the other pieces that you pointed out too. Charlie did improve a lot last year in playing musically. We love it even though he still has a long way to go.
After you pointed out this thumb on black keys problem, I found he actually had this habit. Whenever I hear his music breaks up at some place even after some practicing it was most of the time due to wrong fingering (thumb on black key). Hard to correct. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
GENIUS :) don't stop playing. you have a gift. you will go far someday :D \m/

Beautifully played, Charlie! It's amazing that you can play so well after only a few hours of practicing!

Thanks so much! You know it's always easier to start and it takes a long time to perfect.
