I agree with gimpy. If you want to preserve valuable your comic books put it in a 4 mil mylar with an acid free thick white backboard. Then put it in plastic comic book storage box and place it in a dry dark room in your basement or in a closet. Use CGC if you're visiting a comic convention and you're getting your comic book signed by an artist or writer with a CGC rep witnessing the signature. The CGC yellow label is good enough proof that the signature is real.
I've heard all these arguments before, and I'll tell you what I told all of them... You are correct. However, it's a different collecting market. I'm part of both, I buy rare CGC books and rare raw books. It's a nice balance.

Dude i was wondering if you care at all if your comics are graded at that level.. 6.0 is pretty low.. but anyway.. i'm a comic book collector and thank god.. i started collecting when The Blackest Night Series and Batman and Robin came out cause i have both of their sketches and when i sent them to CGC.. i got a 9.8 on both... well i hope you have a good day... i appreciate everyone who collects comics...
Hey, you know me, always browsing for 9.8's on Ebay, right? I saw a Betty issue you mighta wanted in 9.8 for cheap (it was $25) but it ended in 2 hours. There was no bids, so it might get re-listed for cheaper and you might get lucky.
"This was $10 plus $10 shipping, so why not?" Dude, browse around. You could have at least scored a 9.4 of something worth looking for the same amount of dough. I mean, if you're INTO that kind of comic, then cool, but it sure didn't SOUND like that's your type of thing...
