That happens with wifi. Each player is in the first slot on their own machine. Its not until you watch the replay that you see which player you were. You'll still be P1 and red, but the positions of the player pics will be shuffled. I believe that the colors from hitting the blast zone will reflect this order both during the replay and the actual match though.
