  • I saw this advert for a HDD that held 100mb for $100,000 on the internet the other day...

  • But this is a major mindfuck due to:

If he were to be there, how should of known by going to that timeline he'll be fucking it up due to him already seeing the past from the future in which how did he disappear if he haven't really been there? because if that scientist already destroyed that machine, he would never have been there.

  • @TheGreatGAMER1855 Unless it's the form of time travel where you actually go to an alternate universe.

  • And that's why we don't have time travellers amongst us.... cuz they always fuck up...

    i think... wait... what?

  • I saw his pelvis?

  • Ya I am I like it so far

  • this was 0:08 sec long!

  • @300Dnikon lol...

  • @300Dnikon I take it you're new here?

  • @300Dnikon 3 seconds of intro and outro, 5 seconds of the actual film.

  • @Darca1n wow cool?

  • @300Dnikon It is 3 Seconds for the Intro and Outro and 5 seconds of actual Video

  • Damn you Megatron!!!

  • This holds 16 GBS BITCH

  • First hard drive I ever saw was for the Commodore 64, it -WAS- 1mb in size (compare to 140k floppies) and the guy who owned it was -GOD-. It was also pretty friggin huge, in a big loud-ass case you could hear two rooms over. I think it used stepper-bands, before even voice coils :P

  • i'm harder

  • lol

  • Mimobot flash drive! They're so cool.

  • I actually have old hard drive platter that's about that big

  • The first commercial hard disk had a capacity of 3.75 megabytes, and had a diameter of 24inches (61cm).

  • Megatron USB drive. ME GUSTA.

  • hehe actually the first storage of 1mb was the size of a Canadian tire, or Walmart

  • @GoodMusic010 Good Canadian thinking. Also, the first commercial computer had 4KB of space. And the first real computer took about 2 rooms for all the cables and stuff and had 600 bytes of space I think.

  • @justinasskndfvjhcdva Comedy being meaningful..? Your in the wrong place.

  • @GoldenZombe U must be new here, there's the preroller, the 5 secs, then the post roller

  • you take a picture w ur iphone and it takes up more memory than it took to send the first guys to the moon

  • Pime Taradox! You fange the chuture!

  • Flash drives are different technology to hard drives

  • So that guy came from the future and dissapeared when he broke the 1mb hard drive ):

  • this hard drive have 150tb

  • The first hard drive 1954 IS RAMAC 300 by IBM

  • @rxdofficiel RAMAC 305*

  • @GoldenZombe its the intro and the outro

  • Perfect. I love how you were able to convey so much in such a short span.

  • @GoldenZombe The Intro is 2 seconds long. The 7th second never actually happens. The video is 5 seconds long.

  • I would say hard drives are a lot cheaper than they used to be cause back in the day they were new technology and now they are every where!

  • @jay3fox Well no shit lol.

  • @GoldenZombe ...the intro...

  • If you guys saying that hardrives are cheap. Your wrong they are expensive, then what they used to be.

  • what the hell did i just watch

  • @mattmartino1 All you did was restate the video..loser.

  • @w311why his name is Matt Martino, give the poor lad a break

  • why did i watch this 50 time's???

    (true story)

  • @F1r3F0xTh3Gr34t because its funny DUH!!

  • The doctor whouldnt have done that.

  • This is why time travel is dangerous.

  • @jakash3 True that.

  • 2nd time watchin this shit...

  • anyone on ebay that can sell me 8 seconds of my life back

  • @ROFLCOPTERS92 you know, you probably spent the same amount of time making that comment :)

  • @ROFLCOPTERS92 If you actually gave a shit about your life you wouldnt have wasted another 8 seconds of your life making a stupid comment like this.

  • Why would you want to go back in time to troll past inventors..?

  • @ddranimestyle Why not. I would. Looks like fun :p

  • Comment removed

  • Meanwhile, at the Yottabyte array project...

  • I see one flaw. The 16 GB object is solid state, therefore not a hard-drive.

  • @raymond9987654321

They never call the flash-drive a hard-drive, just the first hard-drive, as in the large one. Therefore, this video is flawless.

And all was right in the world.

  • @MrIcePho3nix The thing, was that the video was called "The First Hard Drive", and therefore, comparing an 'old harddrive' to a 'modern flashdrive' isn't valid

  • So it appears that that the first hard drive was built with a floppy drive XD

  • kilobyte (kB) 103 kibibyte (KiB) 210 = 1.024 × 103

    megabyte (MB) 106 mebibyte (MiB) 220 ≈ 1.049 × 106

    gigabyte (GB) 109 gibibyte (GiB) 230 ≈ 1.074 × 109

    terabyte (TB) 1012 tebibyte (TiB) 240 ≈ 1.100 × 1012

    petabyte (PB) 1015 pebibyte (PiB) 250 ≈ 1.126 × 1015

    exabyte (EB) 1018 exbibyte (EiB) 260 ≈ 1.153 × 1018

    zettabyte (ZB) 1021 zebibyte (ZiB) 270 ≈ 1.181 × 1021

    yottabyte (YB) 1024 yobibyte (YiB) 280 ≈ 1.209 × 1024

  • theese videos must take ages to upload

  • Are these "futuristic-looking cubes with strange letterboards tethered to them" a reference to something? I don't get it...

  • if he just destroyed the first hard drive wouldn't the usb stick disappear and not the guy because I'm pretty sure he's not a decendent of the hard drive.....

  • @jokersoulja well yes, and no, becouse the invntions as the first HDD, lead to things as the flashdrive, and the time machine, and if there wasnt a time machine there he would not have made it to that time.

Also, thechnologys(i know i probobly misspelled that) lead to whatnprovements it military, medicine, and so on, that means that more people could live, and so he could live, what im saying is he is a decendent of that hard drive but not a direct decendent.

  • @jokersoulja he could've been a cyborg.

  • @jokersoulja

but that time machine he traveled there in probably had a hard drive that was.

  • I megabyte used to be a lot of storage actually.

  • he came from the future, right?

  • what about a yottabyte? no shit look it up on wikipedia.

  • why he looks like he is from future if we have 64 gb flashes?

  • SSD > HDD

  • @RaccooNooB If you're rich. SSD's aren't worth buying, ESPECIALLY today for how freaking fast they're advancing. SATA II's are also a waste of money.

  • @RaccooNooB SSDs are way overpriced. And if you buy one it's outdated in about a month. It's like all that 3D stuff, whoever buys it now is stupid and doesn't know how these things evolve.

  • @Shyanmar You make me laugh, but I guess IGNORANCE is one of the basis of humans! People buy them because they actually have a use for them, so who are you to say that YOU can choose what people want? Currently, I am using a small SSD to boot my OS on my computer. Don't say anything if you don't know what you're talking about.

  • @Murdoch493 Did I say that I want to choose what people want? No? I thought not. Read before you post. People are free to do whatever the fuck they want, my humble opinion about it is that they're still stupid. So booting a few seconds faster is worth a few hundred bucks more, yes? Well, it's your money. Thsese things aren't even fully optimized yet, they still evolve so rapidly that the one you bought one month costs half the next. The smart guy waits till it levels off more.

  • @Shyanmar Well, I'm sorry, but the way you just said it was practically a direct slap to the face of those who use them! They have many many useful applications besides speed! They are commonly used in servers and workshop computers because they are more robust and versatile than HDDs. They are also energy efficient, so they can be specialty constructed into PCs so that the computer can be ran on only 5 volts! It's not optimized in a few things, but it still has the abilities!

  • @Murdoch493 Oh, it has, and I wouldn't ever deny it. I'm just saying that it's not usually smart for the average PC user to buy one right now just because they're getting popular, because in the end, if you don't specifially need them, they're the opposite of cost-efficient. Like 3D screens. Might be nice to have if you can afford it, but the technology will only really grab a hold in a year or two at best. Right now, for average users, a fast HDD is a lot more efficient and cheap.

  • @Shyanmar Mine is about a half year old and is still about 5 times the speed of normal HDDs. Yes they are overpriced, but I only use it to store my OS so I don't need a big one. So they don't cost that much :)

  • ALL HE WANTED TO DO WAS SHOW OFF HIS SWEET NEW MEGATRON FLASH DRIVE

  • Did anyone notice it looks like Brian stuffed his crotch?

  • Welp there we go 8 sec of my life WASTED

  • @hahaonyou1 ?? :O

  • duct tape+cardboard+random electrical bits= hard-drive...

    seems legit.

  • Why did he die? was his mother a hard drive?

  • I had no idea you could hold one Megabyte on pieces of a pizza box.

  • @BlackTurk1000 Given the size.. (in cm/inch) you could store an huge amount of data there.

  • I hate when people say i took and arrow to the knee but then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • Hahahahahaha

  • That should have held 5 XB...Not the big one.

  • ._. thats one big f**king hard drive to hold just a megabite >_> shoulda held 10 TB

  • @Frostbitexz kinda the joke.

  • who hates the top comments.

  • @leetwaffle FOR FUCK SAKE WTF IS WITH ALL THESE FUCKING ARROWS!!@#)U$!(@&^*

  • @geded12 It's a Skyrim reference, don't question it.

  • @geded12 then I took an arrow in the knee.

  • the first harddrive wasn't even close to a mb

  • umadbro?

  • spam 6! :L

  • @19simen96 Hmm, is the person who made the description sure that this wasn't one of the first engines?:P

  • what am i watching?

  • What's a megabyte?!

  • Comment removed

  • @KyleAB5000 he was attempting to make an ironic comment about the time in which we live that most people only know GB

  • @bmxanthrowolf

    oh ok

  • @KyleAB5000 Next is petabyte if you were interested.

  • @KyleAB5000 actually 1 byte = 8 bits :D just saying.

  • @liamdudeeee

ahh, i didnt know that, thanks

  • @liamdudeeee But 1 byte is still 1 byte.

  • @KyleAB5000 1 byte also = 8 bits. I think its pretty obvious that a byte = a byte

  • @KyleAB5000 ive always just rounded it to 1k :p ie 1000 megabytes = 1 gigabyte

  • @KyleAB5000 1 gigabyte is gb , not bg

  • @MegaZippyMan I'm sure it was a typo... Like you've never typed two letters the wrong way round?

  • @RichyBabess and you forgot a lot of other units of storage like petabyte ,etc.

  • @KyleAB5000 1024 Terrabytes = 1 Petabyte (PB)

  • Comment removed

  • @KyleAB5000 Don't you mean 1024 Megabytes = 1 Gigabyte (GB) ?

  • @smaks500 OMG Thats almost EXACTLY what he wrote!

  • @KyleAB5000 1024 Terrabytes= 1 Brianbyte

  • @KyleAB5000 Nope they've changed that..

1 kilobyte is now 1000 bytes, because the prefix kilo means 1000. they use kibibyte for 1024 bytes. (and mebibyte, gibibyte etc)

  • @KyleAB5000 Actually:

    1000 bytes = 1 Kilobyte (KB)

    1024 bytes = 1 Kibibyte (KiB)

    and so on...

Seriously, I'm not making this trash up. Do a search for kibi on nist _dot_ gov

  • @knoxjeff you got the signs wrong

  • @xThat1Gamerx Nope he didnt.

  • @xThat1Gamerx I didn't include any signs. Am I missing something?

If you are talking about the prefixes, then no I did not get them wrong. Kilo means 1,000 always and forever. Computer science tried to change it, but that failed. Kilobinary is 1024, or Kibi for short. It sounds stupid, but that's what we get to deal with.

  • @KyleAB5000 What you are looking for is the binary prefix, kibi, mebi. gibi and so on.

    Kilo = One Thousand

    Mega = One Million

    Giga = One Billion

    ...

and so on are prefixes and the value will never change, no matter in what context they are used.

But you are right in that the binary prefixes based on 1024 are more accurate in terms of storage. Also don't confuse the small (b) = bit, with the big (B) = byte, since it goes 8 bits on 1 byte.

    Ranting complete.

  • @DarkSphere0789

    thanks for the info ;)

  • @KyleAB5000 wait 1024 GB=Totalbiscut?.....i really need to take lesons in trolling....

  • @KyleAB5000 1 byte = 1 byte "B" not "b"

  • @KyleAB5000 b=bit; GB=gigabyte

  • @KyleAB5000 The nomenclature has recently changed to reflect proper SI units. 1 kB = 1000 bytes, while 1 kiB (kibibyte) = 1024. Although it's fairly common to use 1024 for the SI units (I've done that most of my life), it really is incorrect.

  • @KyleAB5000

    2^0 byte = 1 byte

    2^10 bytes = 1 Kilobyte

    2^20 bytes = 1 Megabyte

    2^30 bytes = 1 Gigabyte

    2^40 bytes = 1 Terabyte

  • @onalith

    the fuck? 2^10?

  • Watched twice, LOVED IT!

  • this is 8 seconds...IM OUTRAGED

  • @blue12393 It's actually 7 seconds, it's skips the 7th second.

  • @paulerate Not to mention the intro is 2 seconds long

  • The first hard drive was the RAMAC 305 back in 1956 which held 5 megabytes and was as big as two refrigerators.

  • @Membrane556 exactly

  • Pime Taradox!

  • Actually the first hard drive was bigger then that and only held a few Kilobytes XD

  • the first rage quit

  • I think he needed some kind of storage device for his time machine... so is he stuck in the past?

  • hey mac run a server....no....MAKE a game....no....well can you do anything.....no LOL apple is a sad little thing and nothing but dust in the wind

  • @scooter123450 Ether you're an idiot, or just spamming this all over videos.

    >Coming from a PC user.

  • @scooter123450 hey mac run a server.. Why do you ask? because i wanna know if windows or mac is better Stupid piece of crap linux=windows=mac they all have their faults and advantages.

  • @Utopastoo And by the way mac run a server...yes...windows run a server...yes...mac make a game...yes...windows make a game...yes LOL people arguing about what computer is best are sad little things and nothing but dog poop on internet cables

  • he then navigated his way through non-existence to go back to when he made his time machine, seeking to destroy himself and save the world.

  • I want 8 seconds of my life back....

  • I'm siding with Thazua here.

  • this video sucks

  • @jogomez1974 What are you, incompetent?

  • And Kingston recently brought out a 256GB flash drive...

  • 5 second films? this is 8 seconds..

  • @iToasterman Are you TRYING to be an idiot? The actual video is 5 seconds, the rest is the intro/credits

  • @MrGmodlol61 The video is what we see credits and all. It was over five seconds you idiot. a video is not just the action. Learn how videos work or GTFO i actually took a course about video and audio

  • @iToasterman Thats why they're called 5 second films. Not videos.

  • @MrGmodlol61 the whole thing is a video / film

  • @iToasterman I was talking about the filmed part, which was recorded, sense the rest was edited in.

    :V

  • @MrGmodlol61 :>

  • That dude got sum junk in his trunk 4shoo

  • the video was 8 seconds

  • @jymzw 2 second intro, 5 second video. 1 second outro

  • What the hell?
