The first 4 min of this video are repeated at the end of the video. Some glitch shows up once in a while and I have to post a vid like this in two shorter segments. In this case, damage is minimal - no material was left out so I'm going to leave it as is, sadly.

Very true. I recall he was heavily involved with the Voyager project. I don't know if he produced any breakthroughs, but that isn't necessary for being a scientist... I reluctantly withdraw my statement that he was more of a popularizer of science - he was a scientist who was heavily involved in popularizing it.

Carl Sagan absolutely WAS a scientist. He was an astronomy professor, did research on Venus, and worked with NASA for decades.

The first four minutes and twenty or so seconds of this video were the last four minutes and twenty or so seconds of the last.
I was lost until Galileo's house arrest came back on at 4:23 or so, which was where the end of Francis Bacon 1 cut off.
