Yes, you are assuming that the CIA put him into power. Sure, some evidence points to the CIA helping to get rid of the old govt. before that, but I have yet to see anything proving they put Saddam into power. Thus, you are assuming quite a bit with that and the theory that the CIA is some Jewish construct. Nothing wrong with questioning, but please stop blurting out speculation and assumption as if it were "basic history".

I'm pretty sure I'd be able to find more information about the CIA involvement from some news source (especially outside the USA) if it weren't pure speculation. I research a lot more about history than my public school education gave me, but I don't think hollywood gives a true representation of history very often. It tends to speculate and even change the facts to make a story more interesting.
