Need more fiber in my diet. My Republicans are irregular lately. When wiping, after taking a healthy, beefy Republican, I never have the problem of messy Republican on my hands. Fiber helps to have a healthy, regular Republican. A silent, brown torpedo, silently slipping into the Republican bowl, with no odor. THAT is a Reagan. Gingrich changed the question. The question was, would he sign a death warrant to kill someone HE BELIEVED was a terrorist SUSPECT. Nevermind if the panel is against him or disagrees which would be relevant in the sweeping scope of the question.. He, as the Commander in Chief, thinks he can kill whoever he wants because of his own beliefs. This is moral hazard par excellence. This is the death of liberty. Where does this trust in government come from? THE CONSTITUTION KEEPS US SAFE!

Who do you think is going to query the combatants and ask them, "Are you an American citizen? Is it alright if I kill you?" Do you REALLY think the US Constitution is written to protect combatants in foreign countries like that? Firing on THAT endangers our liberties? How?

@philWynk Soldiers operating in a war zone don't need the NDAA to shoot and kill their enemies. That is completely impractical to what this bill is all about. We don't need Newt Gingrich and his shit for brains Obama lama ding dong assassination bill for US soldiers to kill enemies in a war zone. They have commanders for that already to tell them whether or not to take the shot. Pakistan is a subjectively defined war zone, yet consider bin Laden last year. NDAA not necessary.

@noproblem2011 (part II) ... is not declarations of war, but the legal status of a US citizen found overseas acting as combatant against the US. Gingrich's position, which is correct, is that the individual should be treated as any combatant against the US.
(3) Since you're so intent on sticking to the Constitution, you should note that prior service in the US military is not a Constitutional requirement for the President to act as commander-in-chief in a war.

(1) The Iraq war and the war against international terrorism are declared wars and fully constitutional. This was settled by the US Supreme Court in Hamdan v Rumsfeld (2006), in which all nine justices agreed that the Authorization to Use Military Force passed by Congress in 2002 fulfilled the Constitutional requirements for a declaration of war.
