  • The Realtor was actually all of the other "offers"...they were all bogus. I know the seller...and I believe them. Photocopies of expired checking account checks were used as the "offers", of course, the new buyer paid more than these "multiple offers". The seller dumped an upside down house on a sucker with help of an agent. It is all legal...who is going to blow the whistle? The new owner is now upside down as prices continue to drop. The Realtor got her commish on both sides of two deals!

  • I know a seller who was underwater on their house AND they wanted to move up to a bigger house. How? A Realtor helped them. The seller put lots of expensive upgrades on credit cards as soon as the Realtor found a "mark". The buyer paid 50K above asking because they got emotional about the upgrades. The house was no longer underwater, and the little equity was used as a downpayment on a bigger house. Title insurance does not cover mechanics liens posted AFTER the date of closing.

  • If I refuse to play the "multiple offer" game, Realtors should be required by law to show me the list of offers and the terms, AFTER the house is sold. The only person who gets hurt from this is a person who lies. The new owner doesn't get hurt, the seller doesn't get hurt. If the agent lies about the "multiple offers", the agent should pay the difference between the alleged offer and the seling price to the prospective buyer and plus an additional penalty and a sanction against the broker.

  • When I buy anything...when I see the price tag, I pay for it and it's mine whether its food, clothing or a car. Please explain to me why Realtors tell me I have to pay MORE than the price tag to buy a house. I don't believe there are ten offers on that same old tract house. Maybe they don't exist? Am I really bidding against myself? How can I really know for sure? We need a law that makes it illegal for a real estate agent to ask MORE for the price of the house than its listed price.

  • This is our every day reality..lol.

  • Ain't this the truth..

  • We LIVE this SHIT! Pray 4 me...

  • Love it!
