I once got stuck on this level and then this music played as the theme throughout the entire level. I had no clue that this wasn't supposed to be the theme...

it´s very cool and i thougt my PS2 has a damage(it has now a Drive Problem, it´s not reading CD-ROM/CD-Music discs ONLY DVD-ROMS or Vids. Im not able to Play PS1 Games because this Problem. But hey JAK II is AWESOME!!!
When I was younger recorded by cassette my favorite songs of Jak II, and curiously when had to record the Praxis' palace one (used to be prepared with the recorder before enter the place which appear the song wanted to record) suddenly appeared this music. And still there is between the others in the old cassette hahaha
Seems like it's too perfect. I have noticed that this music will only play certain times, instead of the Praxis Palace track, but I believe that this was a completely separate track, rather than a glitch. Have you found a way to control which track plays during gameplay?
Yeah. Go to the port in jak II, piss off guards, then run into the gun course. Make sure the doors shut, and the siren goes off. Then go back out. If the trouble music is still on you've done it. Quit game, go to level select, and choose a level. Pumping station plays different music, mountain temple does too. Others can but I've never checked them all.

if you hear the music [soundtrack] you will hear that jak is pulling out the blaster.

you must do this to get that glitch:
1. kill a Krimson Gurdian
2. run directly into the lift for the Palace
and there u go!!
