How know what? I actually watched an interview of this guy..and was saying that he wanted to make the drums a solo instrument because people consider it to be a backing instrument. What a vein thing to say! And what a pointless ambition... drums are still a backing instrument (and really i dont see why this fact is sth that has to be changed or altered in any way) ..he could be one of the finest drummers but he chose to waste his talent on triggering samples by hitting pads. i totally disagree

@DufferinPete Those electronic pads that he's hitting is pre-programmed to produce music samples in sequence. So hitting the same pad 3 times in a row might be programmed to play Bb->G->D for the main theme. Basically, he's playing everything.

@irka6utu Thats the things about time signatures....like 7/8 all you're doing is counting to 7 in 8 notes....theres lots of stuff that can be done in between...Time sigs are the things...not to be over thought to much...get the basis beat down and dynamic and just play...

I respect Jimbo as the creator of the K Zildjian Hybrids. great sounding Cymbals (he worked with Zildjian to achieve what he had in his head) and he is a great drummer, but not my favorite. (plus he has an odd setup, though its cool with the electronic)
