  • he's a great man! I wish that your country, The United State of America maintain its "LAMB like behavior" - from the Philippines

  • God bless u too

  • Our brave men and women continue to give their lives for us who appreciate what they do. They even give their lives for the idiots who don't have a clue what America was, is and will be to evereyone in the world who wants to be free. I get angry, but then I pity them. They have freedom and don' t even know it. I lived in a third world country for 10 years, and I learned to appreciate America, with all her faults. God bless America and God bless Wintley Phipps.

  • GOD bless Africa,GOD bless Tanzania too.

    Be blessed Pastor Wently Phipps

  • Why is all of his audience white?

  • @macroevolve Does it really matter?

  • They need this guy at the superbowl, not some pop-star that distorts it with their own words...i.e. Christine aguilera.

  • @macroevolve I liked what you wrote.

Let's do a campaign fot that.

  • Excellent !!

  • not only has God blessed this man but God has also blessed any person that has been touched by this man through the extreeme and amazing power that can only be found through His power and glory it is through men like Mr phellps and others of his extreeme divotion that men like myself have been led to our lord and saviours pour and grace to save us all i wish we could all be this insporational

  • I have known Pastor Wintley Phipps since 1972...he is truly a gifted singer, a real man of God and a solid preacher - he is even more real in person.

  • ...what a powerful voice...from a great man...all because of His great God

  • God bless America for what?

  • @MegaPamela77 You really must be a freaking idiot or just not old enough to have any clue to the meaning of that song!!

  • Blessed man of God!

  • I was really blessed to sing at my Aunt Helyne's funeral before and after Wintley... was even better live.

  • What grace and class this man has. Thank God he shares his gift.

  • He deserved more applause than that!

  • *tears* wonderfull !! God bless america !!!

  • I love this man.... God has blessed him....

  • AMAZING!! FIVE huge stars!

  • W-O-W!!!

    God Bless America!

  • soon it will be the land of the not so brave..

    great version wintley phipps..

  • What an incredible voice. Trully gifted servant of God. I am honored to meet him personally at 3abn camp meeting. He was once invited by President Clinton to sing at Inauguration when he was a governor. He is incredible servant of God who love God and people. Praise God for Pastor Withney Phipps. Those who are quick to judge bec; of his skin are truly ignorant. Folks, Jesus died for all skin colors. Rmmber at the foot of the cross the ground is level. Long live Pastor Withney Phipps...

  • @docelmcdale Hi "D", you may be interested to know that Rev. Phipps (I think he's a reverend anyway) works with the children of prison inmates. Clearly not something "elites" would do. You might be interested in hearing him do the" Story of Amazing Grace". In any event you can't take away from the majesty of his voice. Not one like it since Mahalia Jackson died. Gd blss and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.

  • yea, he's a pastor.

  • When addressing low and base communicaters who divide and demean don't stoop to their level with name calling. Pray for them, strive to help them, or don't acknowledge them.

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For BY THY WORDS thou shalt be justified, and BY THY WORDS thou shalt be condemned.

  • Wonderful performance and May God Bless America and Mr. Phipp's Ministry. It's said that racism would find itself here. It is written In John 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the ABUNDANCE of the heart his mouth speaketh.

46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

  • Supraboy,

    tl;dr

There is character limits, thus the spelling of my name. Grow some balls, Christian.

  • Beautifully done as always, Mr. Phipps! (And that's the first time I've seen an audience stand at attention for this song...)

  • Good idea... why don't you get so sick that you will never type your stupid responses on here again?

  • oh..o.k..I'm the one who needs a lobotomy!! Do you really think that your crude racism is shocking?? It's so obvious that you're a scared little person. I wonder how tough you'd be standing face to face with this man!! Anyway...God Bless you, you really need it. Hiding in your little dark nest typing furiously your next remark to me!!!!

  • path to enlightment? first of all even without reading your derogatory comment... we all here can tell that you are not very bright... Come on, spell your freaking screen name correct!!! What exactly is enlightment? Did you mean...?

    en⋅light⋅en⋅ment  [en-lahyt-n-muhnt]

noun 1. the act of enlightening.

    2. the state of being enlightened: to live in spiritual enlightenment.

Get on that path yourself...Obviously you're not! Ignorant DUMBASS!

  • Woah... what a voice!

  • Awesome song.

  • Thanks for sharing this person with me Dad. I've never heard a finer singer than Wintley Phipps. He must have been incredible to see in San Diego.

  • To the one who left a hateful message: In the name of Jesus Christ I bind up all the demons inside you and cover you with the Blood of Jesus Christ. I cancel all of satan's assignments against and through you. Through the Power of Jesus Christ I surround you with a fiery wall of protection, that not one single dart of hate shall escape from you to harm anyone, and I seal you inside, making your ONLY escape through the door that is the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen my brother in Christ

  • Layla,

    Get a lobotomy please.

  • I was blessed to actually be at this event. there was not a dry eye in the house of 5000 people. What an amazing voice

  • Mr Phipps is a great singer and he must truly love the Lord Jesus.

  • sure he is. he follow the law and commandments of God because he loves Jesus. Jesus said "if you love me follow my commandments. if we love Jesus we have to follow the law of God. we have to keep His commandments. John 14: 15

  • i'm not American, however why don't you guys use this song as your anthem?! instead of singing about a flag, sing about the blessings of God upon your nation!! anyhow God bless the world our only 1!! so lets all get along and not destroy it with selfishness and greed!!

    Silvabak OUT!!

  • the reason that we do not sing about the blessings of god is because our country is a multi cultured country and we are not based on one certain religion that is why there use to be a lot of controversy about the plegde of alligance and how it said "under god"

  • Because without that flag flying high we would have no right to ask Gods blessing on this country the land of the free and home of the brave.

  • Wonderful rendition that everyone should hear. This man truly is God's anointed.

  • Because music touchs your emotions...that is why it is so powerful.

  • Joekidd33,

You can be patriotic and love your home, and at the same time, fight against the injustice our great home is guilty of. It is not one or the other. In fact some would argue that this is true patriotism.

  • I am going to learn all of his songs! He's just so anointed!

  • Wow, I love America, and I am not even American.

  • best rendition of this song me and my family have ever heard

  • I love God, I love this country, and I love this man!!!!

  • AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And God bless you, Mr. Phipps. You are one of the most powerful and touching singers I've ever heard.

  • my mom loves wintly phipps

  • Beautiful voice, with that nice "hollow" quality of a great bass/baritone.

  • Wow! I've never wept to God Bless America. Mr. Phipps has the most amazing and beautiful voice ever. Thank you for posting these videos. I discovered his videos from my fater-in-law sending one to me.

  • God bless America. This is the only home I know.

  • I wish I could find his cd's. Can anyone help me?. I have been a fan of his for over twenty years.

  • google his name and it will bring up a website for the U.S. Dream Academy. That website will lead you to a place that you can purchase his cds and dvds. all of the proceeds from them go to the Dream Academy, which is a non-profit org. that offers mentorship to the children of prisoners- it's awesome!

  • I admire his passion and devotion. Great man

  • I truly love America.

I love Wintley Phipps' rendition of "God Bless America."

I love how his voice and emotion touches my heart!

May God bless him to share that wonderful voice and message for a long long time!

  • Amazing man. I've been watching all the videos posts here. I heard him say he grew up in Canada. Is he Canadien then? I was born in the Philippines and grew up in America. It is truly a beautiful country and I am very lucky to be here and have all the opportunities it allows.

  • I was introduced to Whitley first in March 1995...I am always moved to chills when he speaks and sings!! We own several cd's and enjoyed a Valentine's Day performance at the McMinnville Avaiation Museum in 2002. Having Brian schedule Whitley for Mastermind is just confirmation that we are in the right place...at the right time...with the right people. God Bless you...Whitley and Brian & Company!!!!!
