  • @SmokeyCSULB

The Gap Band - Nothin' Comes to Sleepers

  • This is one of those gems that needs space in your ipod or mp3 to forever remind you of real hip hop....erase that lil Wayne or whatever..Drake crap

  • @razilleD Na im just saying it would be sick if they did!!

  • @JayTheMan10 they did, Fashawn - Samsonite Man

  • @SW4TR3PP1N na i mean like they actually make a collab album, like together. Shit would be pretty sick =)

  • this album got me through sophomore year in highschool...i need more of fashawn and blu

  • just listened to the entire album. it restored my faith in the hip-hop and rap community.

  • Fashawn's album gave me hope that rap was going to be ok. He makes all the Drakes and soujaboytellhim in the world worth it. Exile's beats are unbelievable.

  • he sounds like nas. :)

  • Paying for tuition by washing dishes, its all a part of being self-sufficient. BELEE DAT!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful.

  • Exiles beat is a little over powering here

  • 1 person just doesn't get it.

  • @bankholiday It's probably some rich stuck up piece of shit who's never had to struggle to gain anything.

  • One of my favorite albums from him it rolls with my life love it

  • super cool that they used a sample of slick rick.

He is on the way of much goodness ±P

  • FUCK YEA See you in Seattle :)

    559 till i Die

  • Jay Electronica sent me and i think he wants to go on this beat. He would mos def murk it.

  • i love this album

  • My theme song...

  • you go to youtube to mp3.com

an paste the url in the box and download..

but its a great album your better off buying it and supporting the music

  • anyone know were i can download music from-this song is sick

  • he might be better then Nas in a way, or has the talent to be better, but without that fake image nas has. Do your homework, Tragedy was the best queens bridge mc, nas just stole his image. Fact!

  • @2001joejah01 illmatic?

  • @kennboy1 yeah... look up Tragedy...the true queens bridge hero

    ...

  • @2001joejah01 Tragedy instead of useing the talent he has is still going in and out of jail while Nas made something of his self who is the real hero?

  • @TheOneIshi yo hold up. nas is good, hero on of my fav songs off his last cd, but man never gave props to tragedy for setting the blue print to queens bridge project story like songs, ilmatic with one love, lifes a bitch, thats all tragedy, thats his story, but not many know that and it just gets me mad as a hiphop student of the game that we make nas out as this great gift of lryrics man , hes good, but tragedy, jail or no jail is the true queens bridge hero...truth

  • @2001joejah01 Nas may not have lived the life but the words he spit was his he was and is this great gift of lyrics.....

    Tragedy is dope though..

  • he is the dopest nas sound alike

  • This song is sooo beautiful. Keeps my head up whenever I feel like I'm not heading to where I should be headed.. real talk. Insipiring song.

  • this song is sick i want to meet him i live in madera like 15 mins from fresno

just like he says follow your dreams

    no homo

  • THIS ALBUM IS FUCKIN DOPE

  • check thiiiisss out!!!!

    watch?v=2_lXT0DbVZI

  • Aloe Blacc's verse (second) is AMAZING!

  • @MyHipHopTunes amazing man, he's a wonderful artist.

  • so wonderful :)

  • Fashawn is the shit... enough said

  • this is amazing

  • fashawn and exile got game

  • This song gives an apportunity to see everything different, with new eyes...

  • Damn this is some feel good music

  • @Booduh91 Indeed it is.

  • Love the song, but what does the kid say at the end of the song?

  • @BonafideZulu he says dad the stars are bright tonight, then he says nah.

  • amazing song. I'm not really a hip hop purist (I'm Australian for starters), but I understand that this is what real hip hop is about. This is Illmatic Pt II, but without taking away any originality from Fashawn.

  • @OsvaldoCarro Well said, was just thinking Fashawn reminds me of that raw Nas vocal style from back in 1993 but right up there with today's best talent.

  • @OsvaldoCarro Aussies have some pretty amazing artists like Bliss n Eso, Hilltop Hoods, Drapht, Pez, the list can go on and on. Hip-hop is everywhere, you just have to spend some time looking for it.

  • i love this song,

  • Yo this is Nice I mean this is my favorite Ricky D Song Nice version song iz DOPE! Nice Poem by the Sista Should make a video

  • this is the future right here. massive shot out to Fashawn and Exile from TKO.

  • This is the song that most reminded me of Illmatic. Yeah most of the album did sound like Illmatic, but seriously listen to "The World Is Yours" and then this song and you can easily hear the similarities.

  • I didn't know that Exile was doin is thing for this track, but now that I hear it...makes total sense. This track is so money. It's one of those songs where you feel each beat drop and piano trill coming and when it does, it's like puzzle pieces fitting together in all the right ways...Glad I came across this

  • "There's gonna be some ups and downs there's no question, but the hard times you make it through teach the best lesson. He who never tries never fails, but if you don't ever try you're a failure. I don't know what to tell you"

  • amazing.

  • Damn u can see Illamtic's influence here, from the album cover to the track's mood, flow nd lyrics, matter of fact Nas just released a re-make of Ricky D's classic of the same title

  • fashawn is coming to my school!! yes!!

  • wtf i sampled this same song, lol. The Gap Band.

  • HIP HOP LIVES!

  • Amazing Song, classic verse by Fashawn

  • exile killed dis shit and fashwan is my nigg.................if not already i hope him and blu drop and album wit exile...that shit would be too dope........

  • This beat is real nice

  • jus heard about this dude. glad i did. smooth track

  • A great song. A great message among all the BS that's goin on today.

  • I Love This Track Right Here Mayne, Im From Tha H-Town ButI Love Tha East Coast, It Hass Blessed Us Wit Good Vibe And Lyrical Ill.

  • @DjSwisherTV He's From The West - Fresno, Cali.!!!

  • @DjSwisherTV this is west coast mayne, fyi

  • Love this song to death.

BLESS FASHAWN AND EXILE FOR THAT BEAT!!!!

  • i actually dont like what i said earlier about ruining it because this song wasnt ruined at all, its a good song with a good message its just not in my taste at the end ut thats ok, still a good song.

  • nice album! love it

  • this song is nice but I think the spoken word at the end ruined it a little.

  • This song is so...pretty. In a good way.

  • this song right here....damn dude...just so real

  • 'He who never tries never fails but if dont ever try you're a failure'

  • this is a good song .

  • wheres the instrumental

  • he needs to rhyme more than 4 lines in a verse....niggas gettin complacent

  • he need to keep doin what hes doin and not be influenced by all that bullshit out now.THATS WHAT HE NEED TO DO!

  • what is he doing? ill tell you what hes doing, he rhyming 4 LINES IN EVERY VERSE. that aint acceptable. i dont wanna hear a nigga talking over a beat. like i said, niggas gettin complacent. HIPHOP=ART OF RHYME.

  • HIP HOP= four elements: rhyme, break dancing, DJ, and graffiti. Do your homework, nemesis700.

  • you tryna tell me you know more bout hip hop than me?.

you corny as fuck kid. stay in the kiddie zone.

  • nemesis ur dumb lol..

  • sometimes the message is more important than the rhymes

  • you need to be able to do both. not one of each. if you cant. your never goin to be above average. and the message is corny as fuck.

  • i got to keep a eye on fashwan. the whole album was a one of these albums i didnt skip one track. i play this track almost every moring on my way to work just to make sure my day starts good

  • @namkooc what about exile?

  • If you stumbled across Fashawn, please go do your homework and keep this beautiful sound flourishing. Long live Hip Hop.

  • @bart6452 what do you mean by that... isnt it better than people listening to that garbage on the radio tho?.. i understand what youre sayin i guess but still....

  • @bart6452 Cool, cuz this is the very first time I have looked him up after hearing his name. Gonna follow him and bump his shit now, this is legitttt :)

  • @bart6452 LONG LIVE FASH,P-ASIA,AN EVERYONE FROM THE CEN CAL!

  • @bart6452 lol so gassed

  • an intensively good song. Aloe Blac can really sing in my opinion. super thumbs UP!!

  • can anyone get a piano cover of this?

  • hip hop is being ressurected

  • fashawn, skyzoo, blu, 88 keys, Black Milk, Kid Cudi, Wale, all breaking into mainstream I hope

  • @3abcd2 wtf?????????

  • oh ya, and MURS

  • i hope skyzoo does espically but kid cudi?

  • Idk if he's mainstream, good music is good music. If you can explain why an artist is good, you should have enough credibility in your taste.

  • One of my fav songs on the album! This song brings back memories of my childhood makes me real happy!

  • SPREAD THIS!! THIS is real HIP HOP!!! SPREAD IT or see slowly hip hop goes dead and only rap left allowed is the songs where u talking about killing ur brother man.... U understand..? GOOD DAMN...

  • This guy Fashawn is Puttin california On tha Map were it need Ta be!!!!!!so Wonderfull!!!

  • TILL THEY COME TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 3 WORDS...TRULY AMAZING MUSIC.

  • Song is immense...the message is universal... "the world is yours"

  • Favorite song off the album.
