  • also Transguild Courier can take the place of scrapbasket. Courier doesnt require a mana activation.

  • t0 Gemstone Caverns

    t1 Forest

exile elvish spirit guide exile simian spirit guide

4 mana play natural order discard 1 play progenitus.

  • t1 Forest + Llanowar elf

t2 Forest (Eventualy a ramp spell of some sort)

t4 Forest, Natural Order your elf and get Progenitus, lol?

The combo in the video requires way more cards to go at the same speed, and with just regular landdropping, this requires 5 turns to go of, and is very unstable agains any sort of artifact or creature removal, since it all depends on Scapbasket? I don't get why you would go through this much trouble to play a progenitus?

  • Natural Order.

  • elvish spirit guide concordant crossroads, forest birds, orcish lumberjack, elves of deep shadow, simian spirit guide,Lord of Tresserhorn. nomomnom

  • Turn one, BoP

Turn 2, Show and Tell, FoW their FoW, play Prog

  • Here's an even better way to play progenitus, and it only requires one card:

    hardcast Progenitus!

(disclaimer: may not be doabale turns 1-9)

  • ever heard of the card Natural Order? That is pretty much the best way to "cheat" a Prog into play

  • Can a creature with protection from white or protection from everything (progenitus) be destroyed by dispense justice?

  • @vezok716 protection says it can't be targeted and can't be dealt damage, if it doesn't target or deal damage then yes

  • elvish piper

  • Or just play a Bloom Tender with Freed from the Real. . .

  • OATH OF DRUIDS

  • "the soul of the world has returned." =D

  • u can use dramatic entrance on progenitus its almost the same as that combo but its more simple :)))))

  • Or the insane combo of 2 cards with Changeling, Cryptic Gateway, and any fatty you could ever want. (The expensive deck that I made around this premise runs 3 Progenitus, 3 Emrakul, 1 Darksteel Colossus.)

  • With a counter you can do nothing!

  • Comment removed

  • Turn Two Progenitus:

Prep: Stock deck with hypergenesis and huge creatures (Progenitus, Darksteel, Akroma) with casting cost higher than 3, no other spells higher than 3.

    1: Forest

    2: Mountain

3: Remove Simian Spirit Guide, tap forest, tap mountain (3 mana), cast any 3 cost cascading spell (such as Violent Outburst). Guaranteed cascade to Progenitus or other huge creature

    Hypergenesis + cascade ftw

  • Sorry, guaranteed cascade into Hypergenesis, which will unleash a flurry of huge ugly creatures

  • Turn 1 Birds, Turn 2 Goblin Assault, Turn three polymorph the token, free progenitus.

  • @DarksteelLeon, you know you could get a bird of paradise that way.. really bad combo for progenitus

  • @DarksteelLeon one problem is if you accidentally hit a birds not a progenitus

  • @DarksteelLeon you are an idiot if you run BoP in a polymorph deck -.-

  • you can use transguild courior to

  • its lot easier play polymorph

  • orlyaustin they say add one mana of each as in if i have a goblin welder and a llanowar elf i could tab bloom tender i will get 1 red and 1 green so with 2 bloom tenders i tab to get 2 red and 2 green>> so read card first before commenting

  • turn 1 - forest llanowar

turn 2 - forest greenweaver druid

turn 3 - elvish piper, mountain, burst of speed, progenitus

  • Easier combo

    Elvish piper=5 turn progenitus

  • me and my friend played this for a new combo try

Ponder Djin of wishes then progen

    or polymorph

  • or just play dramatic entrance.

  • yeah... or you just put natural orders in your deck... or elvish piper... that works to ;) this combo has to much cards... so it won't work fast... and you need to have progenitus in you hand, with natural order, you don't need to :)

  • elvish piper, turn 2, -- Progenitus ;-;

  • ???

How do you play elvish piper on turn one????

  • blasphemy, i guess you could use some llanowar elves and play it on turn 3-5

  • @GeoSlivers BLACK LOTUS! XD still, you can put down piper in turn 2 and Prog on turn 4, just as fast as what you did i think?

  • @GeoSlivers hypergenesis xD

  • @GeoSlivers

    black lotus, forest

    duuhhh

  • @GeoSlivers

    MOXES DUH lol :P

    lol jk

  • bloom tender produce only 1 mana, not 2 or 3 just 1. read the rules

  • If you would read the rules, you would realize that bloom tender produces an amount of mana equal to the number of colors present among permanents you control. Last time I checked, Scrapbasket could become all five colors, thereby allowing each bloom tender to produce 5 mana!

  • no, no , no. you said: produces an amount of mana equal to the number of colors present among permanents you control

    but //////

{T}: For each color among permanents you control, add *one* mana of that color to your mana pool.////

Bloom Tender won't add more than one mana of any particular color to your mana pool. At most, it will produce {W}{U}{B}{R}{G}.

  • Um...yeah...that's why there are TWO OF THEM... they each produce WUBRG, that's 5 times 2, that equals ten, and progenitus costs WWUUBBRRGG... I fail to see the problem here...

  • I'm pretty sure they can't each produce 5 mana. Just one of any of the 5 colors.

  • No, they can.

"For each color (white, blue, black, red, and green), check to see if you control a permanent of that color. You can count the same permanent for multiple colors. For example, if you control a green enchantment and a white-black creature, Bloom Tender's ability produces {W}{B}{G}."

The combo works, but it's been around since Conflux first came out.

  • @GeoSlivers That is how the card reads, it would appear this combo works, however I would have to check the oracle for exact wording.

  • @Alsnake i know the rules and trust me it does produce 5 mana because of the way that it is worded i produces mana for each color present in permanents you control and since at the time scrapbasket is WUBRG then tapping two bloom tenders would add WWUURRBBGG

  • I have a Polymorph Progenitus combo deck that is standard and has a record of 63-3 in casual games on MTGO.

I lost to a milling deck, a quick flying deck, and got mana screwed once.

  • nothing fast

    =(

  • polymorph

  • Use proteus staff and only have token creatures in your deck to get out progen, darksteel colossus, anything big and beastly you can think of.

  • That combo is terrible, how about you try rampart grow, rampart . uh, dramatic entrance on tour 3-4.

if you have progenitus in your hand already, if not you should use Primal Command. To gain seven and fetch, then dramatic

  • why a progenitus?

for the same mana you have

    (tapp)target palyer lose the game

    (door to nothingness)

  • Good Thinking! :D

  • i love that door so damn much, me playing it is like hitting the auto ceceed buttons on anyone who i deem "threatening"

  • @assasinilu i like the way you think

  • COOL!

  • I sent you a friend invite, double post ftw

  • Nerds...

  • Wait...I'm getting an error when I try to play Progenitus...it's not working...?

  • A shot like that can kill a man, Marcus...
