Actually no. DSM was a manufactoring corp. conjoined with both Mitsubishi and Chrysler which built Eclipses, Lasers and Talon's mainly. In addition, couple cars such as the Galant VR4 (not the 3000gt VR4's), etc...

the chassis and body are mostly made in usa the engine and drivetrain was engineered in japan plymouth/chrysler also made there own slightly different body too (lazer) , evo's are tough they are strictly mitzu's thus not having the tri-star badge or Diamond Star Motor badge as i call it but they do still have the 4g63 with different turbo, manifold and cams and tranny ...sso its a tough call to base the evo on jus the engine when DSms stands for the logo on the badge found on the firewall

actually evos should technically be considered dsm's, mostly bcuz they run on the same 4g63 as the talon or eclipse, however it has been altered slightly with development over time...yea =P
