the quality of sound makes this beautiful oncert grand piano sound like a an electric keyboard ! Where are the sound engineers? do us all a favor and add some reverb !!
The playing is really great. I've added it to my favorites. Only one question- he's playing it in Db instead of D. Don't understand why. (Although, Db is my favorite key :-)) I also like that he uses very little pedal and when he does use it, it's to very good effect.
I recommend hearing him play Ante El Escorial- beautiful!
I appreciated this but thought the melody could sing a bit more by being less staccato at times. It's not staccato in my edition but.....Still very confidently done.
well lecuona music ive usually seen often calls for a lot of octaves, the first time i seriously had a hard time controlling that was his piece Malaguena which is quite amazing... my guess is that it helps bring the melody out over the rhythm, less need for volume control for the price of more technical difficulty... just a guess tho...
although i admit i have never seen the sheet for this song and so dont know if it says staccato, i would think for a breeze more of the notes would be slurred?

otherwise, it's a great video.
