im Canadian but my heart sunk and my body was vibrating when i got up that morning to a voicemail from my gf to turn on the tv! i did and thought it was a movie! didnt believe it! just in shock! living near Vancouver at the time, it was scary silent in our skys! very weird! and when i saw the buildings go down! i thought what ALOT of people thought.Controlled Demolition! WTF! and how did they just show that on live TV!! its all ready in the books.they have controll.pushing fear in USA! wow.RIP!
A "Special Place In My Heart"...Born & Raised in New York. Years later worked at Tower 2 of the WTC. Met my brother for lunch by the Sphere which was in the middle of a fountain of water as it cascade around the Sphere...What a relaxing place to have lunch during those hectic working hours...I will remember the WTC and its true beauty and what it meant to all of us New Yorkers...
I will rate and comment; I like your video upload. I also cried. Very moving stills of that day. I went up in the tower that didn't have the antenna in 1984. Those two buildings were very massive and impressed on me much. That day is certainly something that can not be forgotten. =^.^=
It seems just one generation will have known and loved the World Trade Center- but the WTC is getting rebuilt, what do you mean only one generation? Well, the WTC is TWIN TOWERS, not Freedom tower and 5 high rises. Until TWIN TOWERS once again stand for WORLD TRADE CENTER, it is NOT the World Trade Center, PERIOD!!!
I agree, the TWIN towers should be remade, as a symbol of endurance and defiance. Sadly the money men will decide and principals dont factor into these things. You have my support from the UK
@Jaya365 The Twin Towers were not good architecture, and the only people who really miss them are usually hyper-patriots or people who have never visited a city and have no idea what this horrible skyscraper architecture did to the city skyline and the streets below (see the Twin Towers Alliance Facebook group). You guys need to move past your feelings and understand that the WTC was not nearly as amazing you guys like to imagine it is, and that we are getting something much better now
@Derchimaster1 I know they weren't that great I never saw them in person but they had the grey corporate look that was popular in the late 60's to the 80s. What I meant though was that they should have been put back as a symbol of defiance. i.e "knock em down we put em back up again." - updated but as two towers all the same. the current plans won't give the area the monument factor that it deserves - cos whatever is built should be a lasting reminder of the day the world changed.
@Jaya365 You can't do about it. The Foundations are down. Every single structure already has their footprint What are you going to do take them down? It makes absolutely zero sense to build a twin given the current composition of the site, and it would be virtually impossible financially and politically Lobbying for the TT II is pathetic a way to change what can't be changed We all have an emotional attachment to the twins, but they're gone Do yourself and others a favor and get over it
@Derchimaster1 Nothing wrong with being sentimental, and impossible is a strong word, they were put up in the first place. It takes will power and it seems that thos doing the planning had little in mind for the memorial and only worked out how the site of an atrocity can be economically be converted back into optimum real estate. As if I didn't know already that there is nothing i can do about it, I can however voice my opinions on a sentimental video if I want to.

Great job. Excellent choice in music. I liked that you did not dwell on the destruction, but on the greatness of the World Trade Center as it was from the time construction started, to completion in 1974, until 2001.

@WorldTradeCenter96 What do you mean it's not the real map? Of course it is. It has every store, escalator, building, etc. clearly detailed.
