The GB has never been "black and white" but monochrome (green with shades of grey, black and white) and this one is the same in it's normal mode.

With the backlit on, it's more blue than anything else with some black and white flavor too.

Bought one for myself recently (Silver), took it on with me on holiday in Spain for a week.

So much more portable than my DS Lite even though it's a bit bulkier, because no charger to take with me, and I can buy batteries whenever if they run out. It was great :)

@LiveForMyMoment There are some pretty good GB games out there, and obviously with the game carts being so old they are all region free :) I'd advise googling lists of people's favourite GB games, see if any interest you...

Physically, the GBL is the same size as a Game Boy Pocket, and has a slightly larger indentation at the back for batteries. It's fairly comfortable to hold, and unless you have very large hands it shouldn't be uncomfortable to play.

I got mine for £30 ($50ish) on eBay.
