thanks for this great version of wichita lineman.I heard another version from fretkillr which im sure your acquainted with but i would prefer your version. Both of you are great musicians and i appreciate your time and devotion.
I worked with some people from Scotland. They told me that when Glen Campell came to Scotland - long before he was famous- that he would play music from sheet music he never saw before - and could play it from back to front - backwards - without seeing the sheet music before.
Larry..I feel for Glen and his family for what they are having to go through..I see this disease everyday..But when i listen and watch you do any and all of Glen's music that you have, i think about how much great music he, and you have done. With your love and dedication to Glen, you have SO MANY enjoying every word and sound and forgetting for a moment his struggle .You aren`'t just a voice...You are a man with a great gift...ione marie.i could listen to your warm voice sing this day and night
I'm an acoustic guitar player and grew up listening to Glen Campbell. Saw him last month in Philly. I play an Ovation and see that you play several. How could I contact you as I have a number of questions for you regarding the different Ovation models that you play. I'm left handed and play a '94 Legend 717 model. Thanks!
Wow......You did the song justice with your playing and the heartfelt singing. I'm sure Glen would enjoy seeing this and I can only hope that perhaps he will.
Larry....When you do tributes to music greats, like Glen, they are always great ones....The songs you choose to do are perfect for each one...But there is something that is just as, if not more, powerful than your songs...It is that your heart and soul is in every bit of it..You are so heartfelt with what you give.I have to be honest when i say that if i don't want to cry, i can't watch the intro...You are the sweetest man and the most giving musician....GOD bless You.....ione marie
Wow...what a nice tribute...Your cover would make Glen very proud. Hopefully he will see it. I saw the tribute on the CMA's as well and it was very touching. The only thing I couldn't figure out is why did they hand him his guitar and not let us hear him play. He was so excited, started strumming and there was no sound. Then they cut him off for a commercial....That was wrong...
Excellent and beautiful! I also hope that Glen Campbell sees this. This is a great tribute to one of the greatest musician / singers of our time. As far as I am concerned you, Larry are also in that same category... Keep on playing, singing, and making people happy with your music.
Fantastic song. Takes me back to the days of sitting around my Grandmothers house..making beadwork jewelry with her as she played his albums on the stereo and we would sing along. I love his music...and yours, as well ! You have done a wonderful tribute and he should be honored to have you sing his songs with such sincerity and admiration.
Larry, I watched your vlog about the thumbs down ratings and stuff, but I didnt comment cos I would've got nasty and i respect you too much to do that. But, from me to you, you are a class act. your covers are just awesome and don't you let a few thumbs down rock your groove. excellent cover as always and do what you feel.
Love watching your videos. My mother was always a fan of Glen's music but i discovered this song through the Stone Temple Pilots. They did a cover of it with Glen singing instead of Scott Weiland on one of their dvd's years ago. So good. Your version's great.
@podline66 - ? I'm just a fan of the black guitar. No disrespect intended, You know I've loved watching you're posts for several years. What's an ouch?
Larry, you are an excellent artist in your own right. I like some of Glenn's hits, but, I would rather turn to your channel than his. You are an inspiration to me.
Larry......Also, you are the most giving and caring musician and person i have and will ever know....I am blessed beyond words to have you for my sweet best friend...ione marie
Larry.....You have given a powerful tribute to a great man...His music, like your's, not only pleases the ears but also touches the heart...Your intro and your cover of this timeless song shows respect, appreciation, admiration, and love...If Glen see's this he will, without a doubt, be moved by it like i and many others are.....ione marie....and for those worthless individuals, you know who you are..i was wondering how do you function without a heart or class?
A wonderful tribute to one of the best ever. He sang this on Ellen recently and it was definitely a bittersweet performance. His voice was spot on and if anything, his guitar was better than ever. Alzheimer's is such a cruel disease...
Larry, thanks for this beautiful tribute to Glen. Wichita Lineman was my first Glen Campbell album, which I'd bought in '68 at the Navy Exchange at Atsugi Naval Air Station, Japan. I still have it and treasure it. Until recently, Glen was a longtime resident of Paradise Valley (a Phoenix suburb), where I had been the editor of the local newspaper. We were proud to have him as a member of our community.
One of my favourite songs EVER. Jimmy Webb can write a song like no other, and Glen brought it to life way back. Anyway, great cover of this beautiful song.
So glad I stumbled across your music and channel. I concur about Glen Campbell. OUTSTANDING COVER!!!! BTW -- I am the son of a 3 tour Vietnam vet -- a Green Beret -- which is how I noticed you :) Peace man, Mike
Stunning version Larry of one of the greatest songs and truly one of the greatest artists

Excellent cover of this song, man! Say, what kind of monitors are those you have next to your iMac?
I'm presuming they are powered monitors?
Glen is going to love this!
