  • Really like the atmosphere on this one :D think you'll ever show some traditional art you've done? pencil/ pen n paper?

  • @WoWrofllolz Thank you :)

You can see some of it on my deviantart (see description), but it's not much and I'm not nearly as good as in digital !

  • Could you do some real time videos. I've been doing art for a while on traditional mediums, and this digital art seems so foreign. I can get my lines down, but after that... im done =/

  • @SquirrelShock There are plenty of tutorials on youtube and other sites. Just add another layer and mess around with color :)

  • This is amazing. I use sketchbook pro but I'm thinking I should change to photoshop and learn the ins and outs of it.

  • @J7nate I've never used sketchbook pro, but good luck with Photoshop! :) Thanks!

  • @J7nate You can get similar results on SKB Pro but it takes a lot longer. I would recommend doing your lines in SKB Pro 100% of the time for sure though. For time saving either painter or PS work well. In fact, you will probably need a suite of varied software as you improve.

  • @MrTomemac Thanks man.

  • How did u learn this? Did u go to a school or did watch some pay tutorials? Im learning how to draw concept art but we have no school in germany for this stuff.

  • @Xeros371 I'm self taught! I observed a lot of art and also watched a lot timelapse videos, like the ones I make now :) No need to pay anything!

  • you are awesome

  • @Clockw0rkTheory Thanks :)

  • then any tips for choosing color hue??

  • @vyBcNcept What do you mean by "choosing color"? It's a thing of taste! :)

  • do you have any custom paint brushes that i can download to??

  • @vyBcNcept Hmm, I don't really use anything special! In this video I used a photoshop default textured setting on a chalk brush :)

  • an its spectacular including your other painting also, the cyborg if I'm not mistaken i apologize if I'm incorrect.

  • @ThaFurian It's actually just some sort of knight ! :) Thanks!

  • @SpoonfishLee oh my bad man. an np, you use photoshop to do all these right?

  • @ThaFurian Yeah, only photoshop :)

  • what program do you use for your paintings?

  • @ThaFurian Photoshop!

  • I really love your art style, you do a good job of not "over detailing" the whole piece.

Subbed, hope you upload more soon ^ ^

  • @FalseKnightmare117 Thanks a lot :) I'm in sort of a slump right now, but I'll do my best !

  • Not much focus on details my buttocks!

  • @arackan1 Haha, at least not the MAIN focus :)

  • What kind of sorcery is THIS o:

  • can u share ur brush preset?

  • @hafizer0 There's nothing special to it, I just use a tablet with pen pressure and that does most of the work :)

  • Okay, I'm sorry but do you do this for a living? Because if you don't you really should x_x

  • @SenseiOfPower Haha, I don't : ) It's hard to get into the business, but it IS my dream to work with digital art.

  • @SpoonfishLee I really hope you do because you're really awesome at it ^^

  • awesome work

(random question: do you work with layers?)

  • @AntonioP0ntes I do, just a few though!

  • awsome details dude

  • @ncp1999 Thanks!

  • I love simple and painted-looking paintings!

I don't think youll lose subs by posting that.

  • @MvHighway1 Thanks, that's reassuring :)

  • What graphics tablet did you use?

  • @Frostfeera A small Wacom Bamboo :)

  • Like a baws // Nexon O.o

  • @SlashNekuson BAWS! Rickard?

  • @SpoonfishLee

    Yah man ;)

  • @SpoonfishLee You gave me my username :D

  • I don't see how you could lose fans - you're inspirational even in simple things!

  • @Chirukai Thanks a lot, that's reassuring :)

  • totally sub your channel~

  • @yuzhuhiko Thank you :)

  • Just had to log on to say, What amazing drawings you make checked out a few and they are all awesome!. You deserve more views!

  • @Oleboii Thanks for taking the time :) It's started to increase pretty quickly these past few weeks!

  • Nice job man, question do you lay down your values with a hard brush then blend them with a soft brush or is it the other way round?

  • @D3ADLYTHRUST52 Thanks! I usually stick with the hard brushes throughout the whole image. I only use soft for lighting and reflected color, like in the air above him, but no techniques are set in stone, so the eventual soft brush might make it into detailing and blending as well :) Blending with a hard brush and repeated strokes achieves a nicer result, I think. Feels less digital!

  • you're still good as ever...keep it going man

  • @sakosam Thanks man, I will!

  • Brushes!?

  • @ageshero Not really important, but Photoshop standard chalk brush and default round :)

  • Very cool man!! thats FFV gilgamesh?? or FFXII??

  • @TheFunnyAaron Thank you! :) Any! Just inspired by his red gear in both versions, and also his many swords :)

  • Yes! another timelapse from you man! :D

  • @JosePablo24 Another timelapse from me, indeed! :) I'll hope to have another one up soon too!

  • @SpoonfishLee Great! ^^

im all stuck in my unfinished fails >.<

right now im trying to do a portrait, and damn is it hard. But when i was finally understanding how to paint the face, i am failing to paint the armor and hair -.- lol

what's the other one about? :)

  • @JosePablo24 What part are you failing on? xD

It's a very similar painting to this, another knight, but inspired by other elements!

  • @SpoonfishLee cool

well, im failing with lighting :|

would you mind if i showed you WIPs and you gave me just a little feedback? xP

  • @JosePablo24 Try to keep it very faintly and softly painted. I often squint to make it very blurry, and if I still can tell what it is, then I know the lighting's good :) Sure!

  • @SpoonfishLee thank you, that's not the whole problem, lets say i already did the face very well but undetailed, and she got some strange helmet, so the head is 3/4 and it has some sort of lateral piece of metal, and i cant figure out how to paint that with the correct lighting xP

it is kind of weird because after painting the faintly soft face, i got to paint this huge piece of metal, lol, idk if im bothering you or anything xP

  • @JosePablo24 No bother xD If you have msn, we can take it there! Send me a pm!

  • Looks epick man. Keep with hard work! "thubs up"

  • @Tumoshimo Thanks, I will! :)

  • All your pictures look real brother you are a legend

  • @astro99991 Thanks man!

  • Awesome work!! Have been waiting for anther video from you. Is your Wacom the 3x5 or 5x8 size? Wondering what size I should buy...

  • @DasDude42 Thanks! Yeah I've been a little slow on the video front lately xD Trying to paint some sort of fantasy cloudscape, but it just won't turn out right!

Not quite sure, I think I have the smallest one! It doesn't much matter to me though. I'm sitting on a 15"6 display, and I've also painted on my 32" TV and the size of the tablet was never of my concern :p I notice a lot of people complain about their tablets being too small though, I never understood that!

  • @SpoonfishLee It's a shame that that happens.

  • This was you? I saw it on Deviant Art a little while ago, and thought the style looked familiar.

  • @jessings333 Sweet! I'm not very famous, so it's rare to see it in both places xD

  • @SpoonfishLee Your work is great, I don't know how you aren't well known.

  • @jessings333 Plenty of artists better than I seem to be in shadow as well :)

  • Amazing work yet again!

Interesting brushes you're using too, are they avaialble to share?

  • @D4rKR3cords Thanks!

They're not very special, I just tricked out some of photoshops own brushes :) This piece actually only uses two brushes. One customized and one soft round brush for the light ! If you want the customized one, I can send it over.

  • Hej! Har du någon portfolio? Har precis spanat in några av dina arbeten här på youtube, du är fantastisk. Skulle gärna använda någon bild som bakgrund på datorn. Får man fråga vad du jobbar med?

  • @JohanLithvall Hej hej!

Mina verk hittar du genom länken i beskrivningen! Jag jobbar på ett företag för tryck och printing :)

  • Ah! Din bayonetta-bild pryder nu min bakgrund ;) Ser fram emot mer content från dig.

  • @JohanLithvall Bayonetta-bild? :p Tror kanske du tagit från fel galleri!

    Bra spel dock!

  • @SpoonfishLee Haha menade "Bayonets and ideas" :)

  • @JohanLithvall Haha, aaaha! :p Tänkte väl det!

  • Great to see some work from you again Kev! Keep up the good work!

  • @Celamux Haha yeah I've been down for some time. Bloody cloudscape painting, I can not get it right!

  • Awesome! Great work as always :D

  • @STDxGiantDave Thanks :)

  • Im so jealous....It's unreal. How much dedication to you put in? i really feel like im not working hard enough. I can see a gradual progression in my work but comparing it to stuff like this which is basically industry standard if not better (kinda hard to judge it when everyone has there own style). I really feel bad lol! Awesome work honestly please release more!!

  • @OfficialYoushii Just keep practicing and you'll get however far you want :) Don't think to hard about where you are in comparison to others, compare mostly to your own work :) Before you know it, people will be telling you what you just told me there xD

Thanks, I'll try to keep the videos up!

  • I love how you call it simple work, it is damn complicated to make that, when I try to use my tablet I can't draw anything, while I can draw in real life. :P

  • @NickGuyt Haha, traditional and digital are very different after all : ) I'm trying my hand at some acrylics now, and I must say it's working out unexpectedly well!

People often mistake "simple" for "easy" though, and that it is not! Just thinking about the simple concept and lack of intricate detail work, rough brushstrokes and so forth :) Thanks for you comment!

  • @SpoonfishLee

No no! I didn't mean simple is easy, I just ment I suck at the tablet. :P

  • @NickGuyt Haha, then just keep practicing :)

  • awesome, i really like the idear behind the pic and the compositing is just great, do u use a grafik tablett?

  • @nanohack111 Thank you!

    I do! I use a Wacom Bamboo : ) The older model

  • @SpoonfishLee thx, i am going to buy the same one =)
