Why should he go to hell? It was the US which attacked the first Japan with embargoes, which was actual fatal attack to Japanese industry, which depended upon the US for 70% of resources. Roosevelt and Stimson said, "We wish to make Japan fire the first shot." The US provoked Japan and occupied it for the purpose of invasion. The men who should go to hell are Roosevelt and Stimson and Truman, who dropped A-bombs to non-combatants.

Japanese attack of Pearl Harbor was the last choice after the long, diligent and futile efforts of making peace with the US. The US embargo and requirements of Hull Note was an intentional manipulation to lead Japan to the war. If you see today's US strategy of occupation of the Middle East, you can understand what I say.

Im so glad that the US didnt invade Japan! Here are some facts: USMC casualties at Iwo Jima: 6,800. Okinawa: 12,600. The USMC and US army commanders were planning on the invasion of japan, General MacArthur's staff had twice come up with figures exceeding 100,000.00casualties for the opening months of combat on the southern island of Kyushu, Japan. Plus casualties from both the Kyushu and Honshu invasion operations could range from 250,000 to one million men! It is crazy!!!

yes the toll for both countries would have being so massive it would wipe out an entire generation of people. that wouldn't be war anymore. that would be a horrible holocaust for both sides of the conflict. not only the Japanese but the Americans ask any veteran, Ive met two American veterans both had the same story:the despair of a man fighting for his own life wanting to come back home, and the shock of seeing your friends being shot when it was least expected.

Former U.S. Marine here. The Pacific war was all USN and USMC, effectively. The Brits and Aussies gave about as much support then as they'ere giving now on the War Against Islamic Fascism, i.e., token support. Granted, the European theater was more pressing for the UK. Back to the Pacific War in WWII. That war was EFFECTIVELY won by the USMC and USN. Noone said that you Aussies weren't fighting. Hell, you were about to be invaded by Japan! The battle of the Solomons was ALL USN and USMC. If you want, we can give you a belated "participation trophy" like we do in Tee-ball.
