I have a Murray widebody with a 12.5 hp motor. it goes about 20 now and all i did was put a 2 inch pulley on the back and get a smaller belt. its pretty fun to get it out in the snow and ice lol

the cowling is for air to be directed over the head for cooling with no cowling it will over heat put the cowling back on get a pulley bolt it to the top of the fly wheel to start it with,,cut an angled notch for the rope knot

It isent hydrostatic, and the rearend factory just has grease in it, and I have already filled it with gear oil, but that was after I had broke a gear and replaced it, that is when I relized that there was only grease in the rear end. Lol

open the tranny up, and clean all of the shit oil out, then drill and tap a small hole with a plug, and put the tranny back together. then pump the tranny full of heavy weight gear oil. If you leave the stock oil in there, it will heat up tomuch and cause excesive wear on the gears and it could break them. Also, are you using a hydrostatic transaxil?

A 9" was all I could fit in the front and 5" for the rear was the smallest I had to spare at the time.

@justin4g15t Tractor supply has a 2.5 inch 1/2 shaft pulley, but is not keyed, so you have to drill through the allen screw hole through the shaft and put a bolt.. or weld it on, downside is it's kinda permanent and ruins the shaft as you can't use it for anything else.. good news is that with a 9 in front and 2.5 in the back it will do 60 easily.. But you do loose torque.

It has the factory mtd clutch setup with different sized belts and an extra idiler pulley on the frount belt.
