If you are not a furry, I will not listen to your anti-furry lifestyle arguments. Yes, I have heard furries make those arguments and they were semi valid. And also I decided to be nice and listen to this anyways. You got your facts way off after 3:10
How can you compare furmeets to trollmeets? Furries don't bother anyone; they typically keep to themselves and mind their own business. Trolls on the other hand are a group of people designed to annoy and harass others. One is clearly worse than the other. You don't have to understand the furry fandom, but why feel the need to bash it? If you don't like it, just pretend it doesn't exist. It's not like people in fursuits will pop up in your life randomly.
@momof2boyz2011 Oh, haha. Do you know what a furry even is? If you have no preconception/knowledge of the furry fandom, I suggest you go to "wikifur" (The furry encyclopedia) and see what it says about furries! It's hard to explain exactly what it is, because "what it is" varies so much from furry to furry, but it's certainly a group of open-minded, fun-loving people ^.^
First off if you bought yourself a s.s. Uniform good for you some people may have problems with it but their opinions don't matter if you really like that history/fashion. Not all furs take the fandom so seriously as you say like me. Finally trolls do take what they do too seriously. And as for organized trolls lookout the church if Scientology or some of the protectors from ebaumsworld at anthrocon.
It rots my mind and let's me forget about lifes downs 10minutes a day till a anti fur video that makes me think about nice non violent responses to show a nice side of me not the arrogant ass inside at school
you are the thats taking it too seriously. furries have fun with what they do. You took 8 minutes to bitch and moan. and btw... if you hate furrys so much...change your name.
Sylvester: like on loony tunes. And then Fox o.O i watched this because i thought you were talking about YOUR furry lifestyle. I thought Sylvester Fox was your fursona! HAHAHAHA. Moron.
I just find a Furry thing to me should just be over the internet, I don't really care about it that much like i use to be, Personally over the net do what ya want, haters gonna hate, trolls be trolling, greafers be making my bitch mad Etc Etc
For the record; I've never met a furry who only appreciated the 'anthomorphic appreciation/artistic/cultures side' etc. The politically correct definition. EVERY furry writer I've met online is perverted in some way. I've never met a FURRY who was public or child friendly. That's just politically-correct rubbish. I think it takes more balls for someone like him to state his opinion, which is very valid.
I don't think of it as a lifestyle...or even a sub culture. I concider it personally for myself, a hobby. A costly one, perhaps, but there are alot of costly hobbies. Like Anime cosplay. It's something I do and like. But it doesn't define me. I have alot of other things and I have a life. I have seperate youtube channels for crying out loud. I think you have to realize not all furries are 24/7 furry just like not all people are 24/7 goth. FYI there are people who spend money to troll at furcons.
He lost me at FURRY FANDOM is a life style. Anyway I am sorry for you - If you think furries are a lifestyle to you do need the sh.t trolled out of you.
I think it`s funny that this is one of the few cases that the troll
actually has more reason than the trolled.
"guys don't feed the troll, burn them with the fire of reason and logic. What comes out of his mouth is shit stained diahhrea .I love his lectures over what's deemed proper societal etiquette, behavior and life style.bet 100% he's a college dropout"

The moment a troll stops by my channel, it admits I have drawn its attention. The moment a troll writes a post in my channel, it admits I am important enough for them to try to get a reaction from me.
This guy is awesome xD I'm a furry, yet....I really agree with this guy, the bowl of fruit thing was a great example. I'm not really one of this insane furrys, I find people like that rather creepy. I can agree with most of these 'trolls'.
You are definitely right. In my opinion being a furry is pretty much the same as being religious. It's a group and it deserves no special treatment and should be made fun of as long as other groups and such are made fun of. But again I'm torn in saying that I disagree with you in the way that most furries don't let their life revolve around simply being a furry. It's just something fun for them to do. And trolling is an act that only causes more hate so I fail to see how it relates to furries.
I find anthros sexy......thats pretty much it....its more of an opinion...and you cant agrue about opinions, but for the sake of us "taking it too seriously" I look at yiff every now and then, I talk with furs every day and pretty much roleplay everyday I do it because I find RPing fun....wether its sexual or not, well depends on the person so I would say its more of a fetish for me than a lifestyle I dont own a fursuit or a collar so really its a thing you need to be into to get.
"Furry fandom lifestyle" is kinda overshooting... It's more like a hobby to use free time and it's somehow relaxing to let your mind to go free and think some animal as an anthro. It's limiting to draw humans only, I like to draw them both but I happen to like furry art more and it's easier because there is no "perfect anthro".
I wish I could video chat with you to clear up your confusion SlvesterFox, because I think I have some very good rebuttals, but sadly I don't have a webcam or have any idea how to work that out. my opinion, bad analogy.
2. Why wake up thinking about "this"?thats how we get cartoonists, Disney, actors. Crazy, creative dreamers :)
3. All normal people have to deal with problems, but I was never abused, have lots of REAL LIFE friends who don't care of my furriness; you don't need a "complex" to understand
4. Bowl of fruit subject: again, how we get actors and cartoonists. One survey said only 16 % of furries own costumes, and some are handmade for fun.
I am saving up for a Pablo Picaso suit. I appreciate ARET!!! DURRR Theres nothing artistic about a bunch of animals fucking and posing seductively. Its called porn, and that is what the furry "fandom" is about.
---> my responce: Well for one you made some ignorant mistakes in that video; for one you seem stuck up one the sexual aspect in the furry fandom, about 3% of the fandom do that. And did you relate us to fruit? Your arguments are all backwards and you are judging us without knowing all the facts. To tell the truth this sounds like slander but at least you took the time to come up with some honeyed arguments to make you sound good when you realy dont know what your talking about.
I enjoy being a furry for the fct human life is to chained dwn. Blacks and whites. Guys and girls. Country and country. Ect. U c wat i'm getting at? A furry cmes in different shapes and sizes and colors and species to were it is stupid to separate them the way humans separate themselves frm echother. Well that's my responce, respond bck if u will...
Well imma furry and will strt off by saying that evry1 is different, u obviously know that. So u say that wat if u decided to b a bowl a fruit...? Frst off that's a horible comparison. No offence. Furrys are designed aroun animal species and are alive. A bowl of fruit isn't alive... I mean I c were ur trying to gat at but u should use smething a little mre closer. Now imma nce furry to u trolls, atleast till ya piss me off, so let me sujest nxt time using smthing like aliens I guess.
I've got plenty of better things to do then watch you pretend your some big bad muscled wolf with six-pack abs when you could probably be a useless imbecile irl.
lol its an avitar. and bad ass Um yeah I guess I am. I fought in Iraq I did my duty what did you do? and yeah there are alot of furs in the military and yeah I bet I could pwn you on my worst day with a spork.
Sorry, I dont speak the sub-par langauge of uneducated morons, Come back when you can learn to spell and type to where us normals can actually read it.
One word: imagination....its the one thing that furrys seem to have that no one can fully understand we as people didint loose that little thing in our head that could look at a sand box and think: DESERTS OF EGYPT! I know most of us must seem very imature and stupid for having an imagination but..its who we are. I started the fandom with yiff, I love it just as much as most people love porn, I take it seirosly because theres another me in the furry fandom, his anme is kurmz and he is my persona
@AshXXMayftw No actually the lifestyle inculdes jerking off to dead cows, eating shit, crying in corners, yelling at no one, pissing and moaning at trolls, and fucking animals. thought you new......>_>
@AshXXMayftw well...if it effects you that much then fine....sorry? I guess.....was just ment for the lolz...isint that what a furry is all about the lulz?..the good times? beign furry?
okay look im furry myself if yu look on my page u might cant tell at all but im proud of what i am and if you got a problem i honestly dont give a shit but serious shit brah quit cause dey go like alot of ppl out here who would really hurt you if they could fuckyou you fuckin troll =^^= much love...bitch
no bitch i was tellin you "fuck you" i forgot the period before fuck. Plus you extremely negative and stupid if you not smart enough to see dat error in my typin yet you wanna sit here and tawk negative bout sumthin you dont even undastand
Many artists would draw a certain subject over and over and over to perfect their form in order to pursue their idea of "beauty"...and I don`t see a problem with that. The subject they draw is only a matter of preference. After all, humans define beauty.Sorry if I`m being too litteral on that subjec(2:55)t, but it just occured to me.
...Something gives me the uncanny feeling that you see this as an excuse.
No, infact I`m neutral to this subject. I draw, I relate to art, no more.
@D1SC0D1NG0tm Lol, You seriously have the spelling of a pre schooler. Tawk, it's talk. "Dat" wtf is dat? it's that. Most of you furfags call us stupid, yet you can't even spell right. Furrys are stupid though, so why even bother correcting their grammar fails. Even i suck at grammar and you have proven to be worse then me. Anyone who is into animals is both inferior and stupid for even faping to that kind of sick shit. Yiff in hell Furfag.
@SylvesterFox trust me i know that quite afew furries out here that can fuck you up like me id do it without hesitation and and id show u no simpithy
and the colors thing you mentioned well lets see crips always have blue west invernous soldiers and other gangs only have one color
and the whole persicution thing im native american and part russian and my great grand father that was in the red army was burned alive by the ss u faushist bitch i want you ta bite the curd so i can bash u into it
The thing with Furries is that their culture is so fucking ...........twisted. Not vile or foul , but just so ...twisted. It has to be wrong , it just has to be.
Most "Furries" do take there fandom to a whole new level but at the end it's these "trolls" that are causing an up roar.
Ironically its these trolls that spend hours in places like 4-chan and youtube getting so angry at a fandom they act like they understand from watching CSI.
Honestly- Both Furries and Trolls need to get a life.
There are people that dress up as a charater in animes, world of warcraft and furries. They just want to show people who they like. Guys with fursuits and celebrities are the same, they spend lots of money on clothing. Just like what NFMCGorsa said there are guys that like to collect guns, i think that cool and weird but cool that what they like.
i am a fur and ur 100% right, i just dont get wats with the fuckin suit's, u spend all that money just to be something ur not, i just love the art work lol i've taken art as one of my school opions
i know a lot of peoples who think its a lifestyle , personaly i dont think its a lifestyle but it KINDA became one because my artist name is obviously based of furry fandom. I cant realy change it now , too much stuff associated with this name
I understand and respect your viewpoints. When I was a kid i loved the books of 'Redwall' and series of 'farthing woods', so my interest about anthropomorphism comes from them I guess. But dun think to many ppl have it as a 'lifestyle' like the way you mean. Buying a fursuit is no more strange then be a gun-collector in the the amount of money spend on your hobby (even cheaper actually), and going to convents, meeting ppl with the same interest (not sexual as many proclaim) as you isn't so weird
In Earthbound, there's a religious cult that worships the color blue :3
Meh, it's a hobby. I don't know what it means to have it as a lifestyle. If it's anything like people playing video games all day, or drawing anime and watching hentai, then, well, who cares?
Perhaps it is a sense of identity. I dunno. Identifying with a group of people, a culture, something substantial.
Btards that I know take btarding as serious business :3 SERIOUS business. It's their lives. They have nothing else.
31 videos about the furry fandom made over the last 12 months. This obsession you have insn't healthy Mr. Fox. Are you really batshit insane? Get some help before you turn into a serial killer at a furry con. I'm worried about you.
That's 248 minutes, over a span of 12 months (365 days). That's 1.4 minutes a day, less time than you spend blindly fumbling for the snooze button on your alarm clock each morning.
Hardly an obsession.
A guy recently commented on my channel. He's been on YT for 6 months, and he's already uploaded almost 2000 videos. I'd say I'm relatively stable compared to some Youtube users.
In one of your videos, you're waiving around a gun, pointing it at yourself, talking about how all furries need to die. That really isn't the type of thing a normal, mentally healthy person would do, now is it?
I don't recall saying anything about furries needing to die, do you mind giving a quote? The guy I was responding to talked about how furries need to die, I was simply demonstrating the proper suicide procedure, should anyone choose to kill themselves. I wasn't persuading or dissuading anyone. Both you and I know perfectly well how many botched suicide attempts there are in the world, I consider what I did to be an act of philanthropy.
That's just more crazy talk from you. You have a very unhealthy obsession with the furry fandom. I think you are suffering from mental illness and I encourage you to get help before you hurt yourself or someone else.
You're just trying to distract me while the ninja monkeys climb into my house.
Nice try Gorbachev, you can't fool me twice.
Anyway, I'll play along while my ion rifle charges up. To answer your question: I'm not obsessed, I just find you people really easy to irk, so I constantly irritate you with my different opinions to get lulz. Youtube is an entertainment site, I come here for entertainment just like everyone else.
I don't think you understand the main reason on why someone would want to get a fursuit. Now you say that someone may look at a picture and figure "hmm, I want a fursuit of that". No, that is not the case. The fursuit represents that person's character or fursona in the fandom. Those that can will make their own suit or get someone to make the suit for them. As for the a suit of a bowl of fruit. It worked for Fruit of the Loom.
Ok, so.... why do you want to spend a lot of money just to be able to represent your fursona in the fandom? I still don't see how RPing is so serious to you guys.
The same could be directed at Trekkies and alike. Why would one spend a lot of money so that they can be a Klingon or a storm trooper? It's what they want to do and they have fun doing it.
As for RPing we all do it all the time. We just don't pay attention to it. Whether you're a chef, a police officer, a surgeon, an actor or a mime it's all RP. For some it has to be serious and for others it's just for fun.
Right, but looking at sci-fi I'd say there's more depth to it than with anthropomorphism. They're cartoons, they're one-dimensional compared to, say, Star Wars. I've heard people have several hour-long discussions on the metaphors behind the Star Wars saga, can you honestly tell me that there are furries who can spend hours talking about hidden meanings in the Loony Toons cartoons?
There are cartoons that have spawned off of Star Wars. Three I know of are Droids, Ewoks and Clone Wars. As far as I know I don't think anyone, aside from the people that made them, can spend hours talking about the hidden meaning in them. The best who could do that would be Walt Disney, Walter Lantz, Max Fletcher, Paul Terry and Friz Freeling.
Right, but I don't think those cartoons are very prevalent in the fandom, so they're not a good example.
My point is, cartoons are (in my opinion, and I don't think I'm alone here) childish and shallow. I get bored with them after 5 minutes, how someone who is a grown man can continue being interested in them day-in day-out for 10 years is beyond me.
You have to remember that back in the late 1910's when cartoons were first shown in the theatres that adults were the ones who mostly watched them. Cartoons were something new and you could do more than in a standard motion picture. Not to mention that television wasn't around at that time. As for me I don't watch cartoons day-in day-out, but I prefer the old classics compared to what we have now. Count Duckula can't compare to Hunky and Spunky.
And back in 1910 cocaine was considered a magical substance that could cure any illness. Times have changed, cartoons are commonplace nowadays. Every Tom, Dick and Harry grew up on cartoons, so how come such a small minority takes it to your extremes? How come most people (who had the same exposure to cartoons as you furres) don't collect hundreds of plush toys, spend thousands of dollars on fursuits etc etc? Surely there must be a good reason.
It's not to my extremes, it's what they choose to do and they enjoy doing it. Why would one get an elaborate tattoo and have multiple body piercings? Why would one build a whole model railroad empire in their basement? It's not that they have to do it, they want to do it and they enjoy doing it. You don't have to troll but you want to do it and you enjoy doing it.
Yes, I enjoy trolling, but I don't take it nearly as seriously as you take your fandom. As I said, in my eyes there's a difference between being a furry by simply enjoying the art, and being a furry by spending as much time, money and effort on it as you do. You, personally, have somewhat crossed the line between "pass time" and "way of life", don't you think?
Again the same could be said about Trekkies and alike. If I were to treat furry as a lifestyle then yes I did cross the line between "pass time" and "way of life". However, I treat furry as a hobby. It's something that I enjoy doing in my spare time when I have time to do it and when I feel like doing it. That doesn't mean that my life revolves around furry. Being part of the workforce, working 42.5 hours a week doesn't leave much in the way of spare time.
Exactly the point. Furries claim to base their fandom off of the likes of animation examples like that (ie Lantz, Chuck Jones, etc), especially when you look at their politically correct self-description they present publically (ie anthrocon's site, etc), but the influence of these are not that great in the fandom.
The main influences seem to be based off of fantasy types (ie; Redwall, those Daemon thingies from Golden Compass, etc) rather than animation/toons. Oh, and Anime and all that fanboyish crap.
However, there ARE some deeper things in some of the classics indeed. The antics of the characters sometimes refer to various comedians and such of the day, as well as current events. Many of the WB toons in the WWII era were done in a propagandist manner.
One thing that you don't see anymore in today's cartoons is slapstick comedy. The censors seem to consider that as being too violent for the current generation. Especially when you watch certain Loony Toons cartoons where segments have been edited out.
(1of3) I'm trying to understand your terminology of "furry lifestyler". When I think of the term "furry lifestyler", I think of someone who goes balls-to-the-walls dressing up as a anthro character and living out their entire lives like that.
(2of3) I have personally met absolutely no furries since 1995 when I first became involved with this fandom displaying such an extreme hyperbole as you are suggesting in your video. I have read articles and watched videos of supposed furries who act out their entire lives as a human-animal hybrids, but my personal experiences and observations interacting with the fandom itself have not recounted one such individual who roleplays 24/7/365 actually believing they are a human-animal hybrid.
(3of3)Then again, you are a troll -- extreme distorion and hyperbole of individualistic expression in order to appeal to crowd acceptance and status quo are your kind's forte. Look at the cultural phenomonon of "Anonymous" from which you FCTC dweebs spawned from for a fine example of your hypocrisy -- don't accuse furries of preaching extreme acceptance with your trolling roots of herd conformity with the sophisticated company of rickroll losers and tubgirl and goatse posters out in plain sight.
Anyone who can't see Anonymous as a satirical laugh at any sort of conformity group is a fucking idiot.
Anonymous spawned from first forced anon on 4chan, as everyone was Anonymous technically, and soon many morphed the image of Anonymous, and created a satirical image of a group who act as one, who attack any that are not them, etc.
Most of what we do is based purely on satire, sarcasm, and pissing people off for the hell of it.
Like I said, "Anonymous" is a group who acts as one, who attacks any that are not like them. And you, SpectreDC, just admitted that what your groups does is based on satire, sarcasm, and pissing people off -- and your group spawned from and values the whole 4chan, /b/, "/b/rother" nausea. You just confirmed everything I said.
The Church of the SubGenius is a satirical religion that, while treats itself seriously, is still satire.
Are you a fucking idiot and completely oblivious of what satire means?
"Although satire is usually meant to be funny, the purpose of satire is not primarily humor in itself so much as an attack on something of which the author strongly disapproves, using the weapon of wit."
We built anonymous the way we did to directly poke fun at groups like furries, trekkies, and any of the sort. And thus it isn't hypocritical, because I don't believe in the same values of group stigma as I attack, we act the way we do to attack it. We act like a group to make fun of the whole group stigma.
Basically here's MY definition: A hobby is something you enjoy that you (mostly) plan around your day-to-day life, a lifestyle is something you enjoy that you plan your day-to-day life around.
Also, Wikifur has a very nice definition of "lifestyle". Take a look through that and tell me if you know of anyone with one or more of those symptoms.
Then your definition and mine of "furry lifestyler" are the same; for surely anyone who plans their day-to-day life around human-animal hybrids would therby logically be roleplaying as one all the time. By that definition, the vast majority of furry fandom do not fit your hysterical hyperbole. Even Marilyn Manson is a rock star only when he gets up on stage, the rest of the time, his rock star image remains in his fan's minds while he, in real life, goes home for the day. Good day to you.
"the vast majority of furry fandom do not fit your hysterical hyperbole."
Because I specifically said that most do, amirite? I simply asked how people could take this so seriously (and some do). I didn't point any fingers.
I'm trying to treat you guys like functioning adults here, don't force me to spoon-feed you like a bunch of retards by putting up redundant disclaimers along the lines of "if this question does not apply to you personally, then don't answer it".
SylvesterFox, you just admitted the vast majority of furry fandom do not fit the description of a furry lifestyler. You give the clear impression in your video that you are addressing the whole of the furry subculture. If you wanted to make a video attacking Otherkin for believing they are animals, you should have addressed them directly. But everyone knows Otherkin are whacked anyway, and that's why you chose to attack the furry fandom as a whole instead. You spread lies for entertainment.
Yes, a significant enough presence of otherkin exists in furry fandom that neither I nor my friends have ever personally met any of them in real life. I can sense their presence through the Internet, like anyone else can, but I don't understand why anyone, trolls included, would take this fandom so seriously as to form a angry vice squad over some random guy that they've never met who thinks he's an wolf. As you yourself suggested, "Save your energy for the earthquake victims in Asia".
Angry vice squad? I didn't make this video to rip on people who think they're X in a Y's body. I'm showing a healthy curiousity towards the capricious mindset of furry lifestylers. Isn't that what you guys are always trying to get trolls to do, get other people's POVs? Why are you questioning my questioning then?
Also, since you brought up saving energy, remember that time you said on some video comments that trolls just do it for the brain chemicals and arguing with them is pointless?
Arguing with someone making an attack on others "for the brain chemicals" is not entirely pointless. See, I feel I'm in high school debate class again. Someone in the class has brought up a distorted and misguided assertion, and I'm challenging them on it. Metaphorically speaking, you see someone pointlessly grinding mental gears; I see myself sharpening mental knives. Toastmasters without the cover charge and for a good cause too.
He means those that identify themselves first and foremost as a furry, those that treat being a furry akin to being black, gay, or a christian. And yes, they exist, very prominently in fact.
Exactly. Once again, this raises up the point of what the members refer to themselves; what they identify themselves with when they are questioned about "who they are". Most normal and sane people would answer with their career, their religion, or their ethnicity, not with their hobby. There ARE hobbies that are actually socially relevant, with tangible productivity involved (ie; woodworking, gardening, etc), but being a furry or trekkie just isn't one of them, sans negligible economic impact.
I've always wondered myself, how and why furries let their hobby become their identity. It just boggles the mind as to how some could become so lacking in self-worth that they would do that.
I mean, I like cartoons and all that crap (I have tons of em bookmarked and such) but I don't take that crap seriously. It CAN be used as an art form/entertainment, with hidden references and jokes for the grownups, but in no way at all should it be taken more seriously than that. Sure, we can teach with this medium, but one must be able to discern what is real and what is not.
I don't think sci-fi and furry are comparable. The world of sci-fi is much, much richer than the world of cartoons, in my opinion. I just find the fandom as it is now to be too insipid and one-dimentional for anyone in their right mind to turn it into a way of life.
i just so happen to be an SS assassin, but i cant prove it because that in the hands of the elders. by the, TROLLcon 08, at my house! bring your own lulz.
"In furry however, I've noticed that if a furry dislikes yiff they often keep it to themselves or at least broach their dislike EXTREMELY carefully to other furries."
Yeah, that's another problem, however it wasn't what was brought up by this video. That's the only reason why I didn't comment on it.
It's good to have hobbies. However like you said, when you step it up to being a lifestyle it's easy to get caught up, and often things go too far.
Take LARP for an example. I've seen people who treat it like it is. A hobby. Then there are others who take it too seriously, and end up being total shut-ins and outcasts even amongst their own group. The furry fandom sees a lot of this.
i treat being a furry is more like a activity, more than a lifestyle. People who think the furry fandom is lifestyle get too tought up in ther beliefs that it is a lifestyle and will shun anyone away you thinks other wise. If you belive that being "furry" is activty it will explain the open door policy too. It makes more sense when you put it like that.
'FUCK you' ,u gana bash us im gana bash u

This guy is awesome xD I'm a furry, yet....I really agree with this guy, the bowl of fruit thing was a great example. I'm not really one of this insane furrys, I find people like that rather creepy. I can agree with most of these 'trolls'.
Unoticedz 1 year ago
You are definitely right. In my opinion being a furry is pretty much the same as being religious. It's a group and it deserves no special treatment and should be made fun of as long as other groups and such are made fun of. But again I'm torn in saying that I disagree with you in the way that most furries don't let their life revolve around simply being a furry. It's just something fun for them to do. And trolling is an act that only causes more hate so I fail to see how it relates to furries.
EricNear1 1 year ago

1. Blue subculture: Blue's Clue's lol

1 blue is a color not an interest
2 we don't make our lives about it, we just concern our lives with it
3 child abuse, social skills, and security issues/complexes have nothing to do with furry
4 to be furry you need much more than a passing appreciation to put up with trolls like you and other ridicules
5 your views are subjective you choose not to have a hobby define part of you
6 nothing wrong with free time if you enjoy it
7 you do meet online to organize your interests just like we do
Furry4Life13 3 years ago
1. Some would argue that anthropomorphism is an art technique and not an interest.
2, I've had furries themselves confess to me that they see it as a way of life. You have a whole category of furries called "lifesylers".
3. Again, I've heard of furries being in the fandom because of abuse, school bullying and whatnot. Quite a lot actually.
4. Pseudofurs, look it up.
5. Yeah, and my standard of living seems better than many of the people I troll.
6. Subjective.
7. Not to such an extent
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
1 we have the interest in the art technique whether or not it is an interest is beside the point
2 said category is amazingly small; and i can only speak for myself, not the fandom at large
3 that is becuse when it does happen it is brough up and expounded upon more often than counterexamples
4 pseudo furs aren't furries, thus the pseudo part of their name, and their different name
5 so what? we enjoy our lives just fines as they are
6 as are your views on it
7 maybe not you, but othersmay
Furry4Life13 3 years ago
1. So you're denying that it is possible to enjoy blue-based hobbies in any shape or form?
2. "Small" is subjective. Give me numbers.
3. Well they're the sort of people I encounter while trolling. Personal experience and common sense, as you said.
4. Then what are they, if furry is only an interest in anthro art?
5. Just saying.
6. As are yours.
7. "Others" are irrelevant here, you said *I* do it.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
1 no i'm not, you said that the color blue has been around a long time yet there is no culture devoted to it. i was explaining why
2 i cannot give you numbers as there has never been a survey i have seen asking said question, i can only explain my experience
3 you troll the fandom as a whole as well
4 they are pseudo furs, Pseudo equates to fake
5 subjective point
6 subjective
7 'you' referred to trolls, i made the comment as a response to the video's words, not your responses
Furry4Life13 3 years ago
The thing with Furries is that their culture is so fucking ...........twisted. Not vile or foul , but just so ...twisted. It has to be wrong , it just has to be.
healthyfire 3 years ago
All furries are different...
They all like different aspects of it and for different reasons.
No one is asking you to understand.
If anything, they're simply asking you to leave them alone.
It would simply be like asking a homosexual... Why they felt the way they felt. There are so many sub answers to that very vague question.

I'm not a troll or a furry
Most "Furries" do take there fandom to a whole new level but at the end it's these "trolls" that are causing an up roar.
Ironically its these trolls that spend hours in places like 4-chan and youtube getting so angry at a fandom they act like they understand from watching CSI.
Honestly- Both Furries and Trolls need to get a life.

31 vids.
Let's take the average length to be 8 minutes.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
In one of your videos, you're waiving around a gun, pointing it at yourself, talking about how all furries need to die. That really isn't the type of thing a normal, mentally healthy person would do, now is it?
anImposter 3 years ago
I don't recall saying anything about furries needing to die, do you mind giving a quote? The guy I was responding to talked about how furries need to die, I was simply demonstrating the proper suicide procedure, should anyone choose to kill themselves. I wasn't persuading or dissuading anyone. Both you and I know perfectly well how many botched suicide attempts there are in the world, I consider what I did to be an act of philanthropy.

Anyway, I'll play along while my ion rifle charges up. To answer your question: I'm not obsessed, I just find you people really easy to irk, so I constantly irritate you with my different opinions to get lulz. Youtube is an entertainment site, I come here for entertainment just like everyone else.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
I don't think you understand the main reason on why someone would want to get a fursuit. Now you say that someone may look at a picture and figure "hmm, I want a fursuit of that". No, that is not the case. The fursuit represents that person's character or fursona in the fandom. Those that can will make their own suit or get someone to make the suit for them. As for the a suit of a bowl of fruit. It worked for Fruit of the Loom.
cornwallthedragon 3 years ago
Ok, so.... why do you want to spend a lot of money just to be able to represent your fursona in the fandom? I still don't see how RPing is so serious to you guys.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
The same could be directed at Trekkies and alike. Why would one spend a lot of money so that they can be a Klingon or a storm trooper? It's what they want to do and they have fun doing it.
As for RPing we all do it all the time. We just don't pay attention to it. Whether you're a chef, a police officer, a surgeon, an actor or a mime it's all RP. For some it has to be serious and for others it's just for fun.
cornwallthedragon 3 years ago
Right, but looking at sci-fi I'd say there's more depth to it than with anthropomorphism. They're cartoons, they're one-dimensional compared to, say, Star Wars. I've heard people have several hour-long discussions on the metaphors behind the Star Wars saga, can you honestly tell me that there are furries who can spend hours talking about hidden meanings in the Loony Toons cartoons?
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
There are cartoons that have spawned off of Star Wars. Three I know of are Droids, Ewoks and Clone Wars. As far as I know I don't think anyone, aside from the people that made them, can spend hours talking about the hidden meaning in them. The best who could do that would be Walt Disney, Walter Lantz, Max Fletcher, Paul Terry and Friz Freeling.
cornwallthedragon 3 years ago
Right, but I don't think those cartoons are very prevalent in the fandom, so they're not a good example.
My point is, cartoons are (in my opinion, and I don't think I'm alone here) childish and shallow. I get bored with them after 5 minutes, how someone who is a grown man can continue being interested in them day-in day-out for 10 years is beyond me.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
You have to remember that back in the late 1910's when cartoons were first shown in the theatres that adults were the ones who mostly watched them. Cartoons were something new and you could do more than in a standard motion picture. Not to mention that television wasn't around at that time. As for me I don't watch cartoons day-in day-out, but I prefer the old classics compared to what we have now. Count Duckula can't compare to Hunky and Spunky.
cornwallthedragon 3 years ago
And back in 1910 cocaine was considered a magical substance that could cure any illness. Times have changed, cartoons are commonplace nowadays. Every Tom, Dick and Harry grew up on cartoons, so how come such a small minority takes it to your extremes? How come most people (who had the same exposure to cartoons as you furres) don't collect hundreds of plush toys, spend thousands of dollars on fursuits etc etc? Surely there must be a good reason.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
It's not to my extremes, it's what they choose to do and they enjoy doing it. Why would one get an elaborate tattoo and have multiple body piercings? Why would one build a whole model railroad empire in their basement? It's not that they have to do it, they want to do it and they enjoy doing it. You don't have to troll but you want to do it and you enjoy doing it.
cornwallthedragon 3 years ago
Yes, I enjoy trolling, but I don't take it nearly as seriously as you take your fandom. As I said, in my eyes there's a difference between being a furry by simply enjoying the art, and being a furry by spending as much time, money and effort on it as you do. You, personally, have somewhat crossed the line between "pass time" and "way of life", don't you think?
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
Again the same could be said about Trekkies and alike. If I were to treat furry as a lifestyle then yes I did cross the line between "pass time" and "way of life". However, I treat furry as a hobby. It's something that I enjoy doing in my spare time when I have time to do it and when I feel like doing it. That doesn't mean that my life revolves around furry. Being part of the workforce, working 42.5 hours a week doesn't leave much in the way of spare time.
cornwallthedragon 3 years ago
Exactly the point. Furries claim to base their fandom off of the likes of animation examples like that (ie Lantz, Chuck Jones, etc), especially when you look at their politically correct self-description they present publically (ie anthrocon's site, etc), but the influence of these are not that great in the fandom.
(more below)
TheVechterop 3 years ago
(continued from above)
The main influences seem to be based off of fantasy types (ie; Redwall, those Daemon thingies from Golden Compass, etc) rather than animation/toons. Oh, and Anime and all that fanboyish crap.
However, there ARE some deeper things in some of the classics indeed. The antics of the characters sometimes refer to various comedians and such of the day, as well as current events. Many of the WB toons in the WWII era were done in a propagandist manner.
TheVechterop 3 years ago
One thing that you don't see anymore in today's cartoons is slapstick comedy. The censors seem to consider that as being too violent for the current generation. Especially when you watch certain Loony Toons cartoons where segments have been edited out.

(1of3) I'm trying to understand your terminology of "furry lifestyler". When I think of the term "furry lifestyler", I think of someone who goes balls-to-the-walls dressing up as a anthro character and living out their entire lives like that.
korix2000 3 years ago
(2of3) I have personally met absolutely no furries since 1995 when I first became involved with this fandom displaying such an extreme hyperbole as you are suggesting in your video. I have read articles and watched videos of supposed furries who act out their entire lives as a human-animal hybrids, but my personal experiences and observations interacting with the fandom itself have not recounted one such individual who roleplays 24/7/365 actually believing they are a human-animal hybrid.
korix2000 3 years ago
(3of3)Then again, you are a troll -- extreme distorion and hyperbole of individualistic expression in order to appeal to crowd acceptance and status quo are your kind's forte. Look at the cultural phenomonon of "Anonymous" from which you FCTC dweebs spawned from for a fine example of your hypocrisy -- don't accuse furries of preaching extreme acceptance with your trolling roots of herd conformity with the sophisticated company of rickroll losers and tubgirl and goatse posters out in plain sight.
korix2000 3 years ago
Anyone who can't see Anonymous as a satirical laugh at any sort of conformity group is a fucking idiot.
Anonymous spawned from first forced anon on 4chan, as everyone was Anonymous technically, and soon many morphed the image of Anonymous, and created a satirical image of a group who act as one, who attack any that are not them, etc.
Most of what we do is based purely on satire, sarcasm, and pissing people off for the hell of it.
SpectreDC 3 years ago
Like I said, "Anonymous" is a group who acts as one, who attacks any that are not like them. And you, SpectreDC, just admitted that what your groups does is based on satire, sarcasm, and pissing people off -- and your group spawned from and values the whole 4chan, /b/, "/b/rother" nausea. You just confirmed everything I said.
korix2000 3 years ago
Note the part "satire".
SpectreDC 3 years ago
We built anonymous the way we did to directly poke fun at groups like furries, trekkies, and any of the sort. And thus it isn't hypocritical, because I don't believe in the same values of group stigma as I attack, we act the way we do to attack it. We act like a group to make fun of the whole group stigma.
Satire, learn it.

Basically here's MY definition: A hobby is something you enjoy that you (mostly) plan around your day-to-day life, a lifestyle is something you enjoy that you plan your day-to-day life around.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
Also, Wikifur has a very nice definition of "lifestyle". Take a look through that and tell me if you know of anyone with one or more of those symptoms.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
Then your definition and mine of "furry lifestyler" are the same; for surely anyone who plans their day-to-day life around human-animal hybrids would therby logically be roleplaying as one all the time. By that definition, the vast majority of furry fandom do not fit your hysterical hyperbole. Even Marilyn Manson is a rock star only when he gets up on stage, the rest of the time, his rock star image remains in his fan's minds while he, in real life, goes home for the day. Good day to you.
korix2000 3 years ago
"would therby logically be roleplaying as one all the time."
Well, not necessarily roleplaying. From what I hear there's a significant otherkin presence in your fandom.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
"the vast majority of furry fandom do not fit your hysterical hyperbole."
Because I specifically said that most do, amirite? I simply asked how people could take this so seriously (and some do). I didn't point any fingers.
I'm trying to treat you guys like functioning adults here, don't force me to spoon-feed you like a bunch of retards by putting up redundant disclaimers along the lines of "if this question does not apply to you personally, then don't answer it".
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
SylvesterFox, you just admitted the vast majority of furry fandom do not fit the description of a furry lifestyler. You give the clear impression in your video that you are addressing the whole of the furry subculture. If you wanted to make a video attacking Otherkin for believing they are animals, you should have addressed them directly. But everyone knows Otherkin are whacked anyway, and that's why you chose to attack the furry fandom as a whole instead. You spread lies for entertainment.
korix2000 3 years ago
Yes, a significant enough presence of otherkin exists in furry fandom that neither I nor my friends have ever personally met any of them in real life. I can sense their presence through the Internet, like anyone else can, but I don't understand why anyone, trolls included, would take this fandom so seriously as to form a angry vice squad over some random guy that they've never met who thinks he's an wolf. As you yourself suggested, "Save your energy for the earthquake victims in Asia".
korix2000 3 years ago
Angry vice squad? I didn't make this video to rip on people who think they're X in a Y's body. I'm showing a healthy curiousity towards the capricious mindset of furry lifestylers. Isn't that what you guys are always trying to get trolls to do, get other people's POVs? Why are you questioning my questioning then?
Also, since you brought up saving energy, remember that time you said on some video comments that trolls just do it for the brain chemicals and arguing with them is pointless?
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
Arguing with someone making an attack on others "for the brain chemicals" is not entirely pointless. See, I feel I'm in high school debate class again. Someone in the class has brought up a distorted and misguided assertion, and I'm challenging them on it. Metaphorically speaking, you see someone pointlessly grinding mental gears; I see myself sharpening mental knives. Toastmasters without the cover charge and for a good cause too.
korix2000 3 years ago
K, care to take this to my channel then? This'll surely be a long-winded argument and sorting through the video comments gets really annoying.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
I believe he means an individual who's association with the furry fandom is a primary part of their lives.
SpectreDC 3 years ago
He means those that identify themselves first and foremost as a furry, those that treat being a furry akin to being black, gay, or a christian. And yes, they exist, very prominently in fact.
SpectreDC 3 years ago
TheVechterop 3 years ago
I've always wondered myself, how and why furries let their hobby become their identity. It just boggles the mind as to how some could become so lacking in self-worth that they would do that.

Awesome as usual!
TheVechterop 3 years ago
Bowl of fruit part made me laugh. Good show.

I don't think sci-fi and furry are comparable. The world of sci-fi is much, much richer than the world of cartoons, in my opinion. I just find the fandom as it is now to be too insipid and one-dimentional for anyone in their right mind to turn it into a way of life.
SylvesterFox 3 years ago
i just so happen to be an SS assassin, but i cant prove it because that in the hands of the elders. by the, TROLLcon 08, at my house! bring your own lulz.

"In furry however, I've noticed that if a furry dislikes yiff they often keep it to themselves or at least broach their dislike EXTREMELY carefully to other furries."
Yeah, that's another problem, however it wasn't what was brought up by this video. That's the only reason why I didn't comment on it.
SirFiNiX 3 years ago
It's good to have hobbies. However like you said, when you step it up to being a lifestyle it's easy to get caught up, and often things go too far.
Take LARP for an example. I've seen people who treat it like it is. A hobby. Then there are others who take it too seriously, and end up being total shut-ins and outcasts even amongst their own group. The furry fandom sees a lot of this.
Perfectlydunce 3 years ago
i treat being a furry is more like a activity, more than a lifestyle. People who think the furry fandom is lifestyle get too tought up in ther beliefs that it is a lifestyle and will shun anyone away you thinks other wise. If you belive that being "furry" is activty it will explain the open door policy too. It makes more sense when you put it like that.
STRYKER7191 3 years ago
That was awesome.

I don't think you can compare a still-life lover to a furry life-styler. They're too dissimilar.
Many trekkies, fantasy fans, sci-fi fans, and manga otaku's all have a distinct life style. It's not just furries, and they aren't the first.
It's weird, though. I'll give you that. But if someone has earned the money and the time to indulge in it, that seems okay to me.
What bothers me about furry life-stylers is that many haven't earned the money and the time required, and live in debt.
SirFiNiX 3 years ago
One last note: as far as repetition is concerned, furries aren't alone there either. Many artists draw the same things over and over and over again.
Google "monet lily pads." A very famous artist, and he drew lily pads over and over and over again.
