  • Early QUO .. Brilliant !

  • Great tone from a tele. Must be really cranked.

  • You have to look real good to find a tighter, more kickass, motorized drummer than John Coghlan! Also notice how the STATUS QUO logo on the bass drum head faces inwards? He's probably broken the original kick drum head and had to use the front head. :-D

  • Some great guitar.........wow.

  • Helova good tune

  • This is what I like about old SQ, good boogie rock`roll.

Please, go on for ever Status...

  • Quo is 1 of my fav bands ever & this is some great footage, thanx guitarman!

  • The oldest man her: Bob Young, born in 1945. Still great to see Bob in action.

  • Quo show their true talents here - although it will be overlooked as usual by many /:

  • Shit Drummer?..........Your out of your mind!

  • This recording comes from the German music TV show "Beat Club", which from 1965 to 1972 originated in the studios of the German public broadcaster "Radio Bremen", quickly became one of the most popular television shows ever and still a cult status has. For me, the cast Rossi/Parfitt/Lancaster/Coghlan today is by far the best, the Status Quo ever owned. Thanks for uploading this fantastic video from Germany.

  • Great song, John Coghlan is a magnificent drummer and the best Quo ever got. !! Loveley song by the way

  • @clickswitchh Shit drummer?!?!? Are you seriously crazy?

  • @clickswitchh Clearly spoken by someone who knows precisely FA about playing drums. You can shuffle like that? B******s can you

  • @clickswitchh

shit drummmer????? what a joke, I think you misunderstood 20 years of rock'nroll!!!!!

  • I grew up listening to these guys in the 70's on WLS-AM 890 and Super WCFL AM-1000. I bought their 1983 release new and I haven't opened it yet because there is a 45 inside the sleeve. The album has 'Radio Station Release Only' stamped on it. Does anyone know what 45 is included in it and is it rare?

  • Rick bought his White 1960 fender USA guitar in a shop while in Glasgow it already had the black pickguard but it has just got a bit old now the pickguard undercoat is showing through

  • @StatusQuoForLife Sorry m8 but originally the guitar was dark blue, and was then painted white. Also it's an 1965 or 66 modell. The pickguard is also painted or dipped in something black.

  • Supr Muzyka.

    Pozdrawiam.

  • John has a look on his face that reminds me of my old dog when i used to tell her its time for a bath.

  • sorry guy but thats not the guitar that rick have the last 25 years he buy a new one in dark blue and paint it white and later he sets a gibson style brights on it and a whit pickguard whit a black folie on it thats fate away a littlebit

  • Ricks guitar? did he paint that white? seems to have edge binding..

  • @lemonproject

Yes he did paint it white! And also put the pickguard in a black muddy thing so it turned black! What I have heard though!

  • still reckon the Ma Kelly's and Dog of Two head albums were the best they ever did

  • @stashyjon piledriver for me, pure energy album.

  • @stashyjon Just added Piledriver to your list. Totally in agreement with ya.

  • jesus H christ this is really special.Orange amps.rossis gutteral sound is biting!the boys are just grafting.proper throw away backing vox.heart rending harp.the ending riff is so exposed and honest. johns second choked cymbal at end makes me cry .in fact the whole thing is killing me..thankyou so much ...x x x

  • Always good 2 see early frantic four in action with Bob Young blowing that old harp,Thanks 4 the upload :-)

  • Not all clips live up to the claim, but this is great quality- nice stereo effect too.

  • These guys jam so hard, they are so great, especially Francis, awesome post you made my day!

  • they aren't made like that any more!!! Best boogie band ever!

  • What a gem this is! Love that early bluesy Quo stuff. Classic "call and response" 12 bar - Rossi's soloing is really good. Lancasters bass is nice and tight as well. One of the hardest working bands EVER. These guys know what rock is and how to please the crowd. It was an absolute privilege to spend my teenage years gtrowing up with this. Rock on Quo! No-one else come close!

  • @scottishmountaineer nice comment dude great!!!!

  • Bob still work with Francis on he's new album.

  • a gem!!!!

  • And............Bob Young.

  • Ökar inte ett bpm... snacka om bra boogie!!! Tack, guitarman för en underbar upplevelse!!!

  • This clip is likely from the Music-Laden show, and as with many clips of that show featuring Trex, Sabbath etc, the Orange back line is present. Personally I like the sound better than the Marshall's, really cutting :)

  • omg, quo using orange? never seen such a sight before

  • francis was in his prime then eh? !! he is sooo luvly x

  • dirty chugging blues - far better than all that one idea , cartoon - rocker stuff that came later ?

  • awsome

  • Great! Shame about the stupid spinning effect. Thanks
