The only "REMAKE" here is them simply copying and pasting the code, converting it for the PSP and PS3 platforms, and making them available in their store as a "PSOne" classic. I have the PSP one and enjoy it. And with the added perk of being able to take it with me whenever I'm away from home is really nice too.

u can get this on psp for £8, or $10, just connect ur psp to u pc, download media go and go to psn store through media go, then go on psone classics and download it. or u can download it straight to ur psp if u hav wireless internet. u can download ff7 ff8, and ff9, all the same price. and its great quality and all, it fits the psp screen, when u hav to change disks u just press the home button and go to the next disk, and it saves onto the memory stick
This is the curse of HD. Its technology makes the pixels very sharp, considering that the game/movie that's being played has so many of them, that the human eye can't distinguish it. This generally is better because you get huge detail, but on old games is very annoying. The best you can do is to use the regular 3-jack cable (not the HDMI one) on an older (and smaller) TV. It'll be of course a bit blurry, but you'll enjoy the graphics much more! Maybe there's an "old" filter in your TV also.
yup no worrying about discs being scratched due to disc swapping, no worry about having your memory card corrupt because it wasnt in the slot correctly. and most importantly no having to get up cause its all one file. when it asks to switch discs go to menu and select disc 2 and so on..great idea..i bought FF7,8 and 9 in the Store.
its only 10$ each and its totally worth it. it also have the original instruction booklet in the game.

I remember when I first got it. I stayed up for 3 days straight playing through to the end.. I was so fucking tired I couldn't sleep and got insomnia. I kept hearing Cloud's victory tune every time I close my eyes lol. It was horrible, but at the same time it was the greatest thing ever. Games need to be as epic and thought out as this was!

FFXIII is HORRIBLE... Seriously. It sucks. The characters are whiny and annoying and the gameplay is average at best. The leveling system is non-existant and did I mention the characters and the story will annoy the hell out of you?
Play FFVII. It's a much better game even if the graphics aren't top notch, the characters are lovely the story is lovely the gameplay is AWESOME the music kicks ass and you'll get addicted.
@Shurryy C'mon, you can't compare EVERY SINGLE Final Fantasy to FF7 (which is overrated in my opinion). FF13 isn't that 'horrible', the only annoying thing is the non-stop fighting. No minigames, not much NPCs and monotonous sidequests. But still: Graphics, sound and gameplay are simply awesome. I love the characters, expect Hope, which is a really crybaby. Anyway, what's your problem with the leveling system? What's the big difference between "Level XX" and the crystarium? <.<
When you play FF7 twenty times over you notice similarities without wanting to.
If you don't notice the obvious similarities then I can't really do much to change your point of view so... I won't.

Ff7 is by far THE greatest final fantasy game, followed by final fantasy eight, then final fantasy nine. Coming in third fourth and fifth are ff10, ff12, and ff13 ~.~
Thinking about buying PS3 just so I can play old PS1 games again. Sure, I could use a emulator on my computer, but I don't have the patience for that.

I fucking miss this game, my memory card took a dump just last year and the first disc stopped working past a certain point, so I got screwed. :( Quite possibly the greatest game I have ever played, still to this day. Making a FFVII remake is a great thing, but they should have improve the graphics...I consider this game my favorite, i would love to play an improved version.

@qenocide this game didnt have the biggest promotion.....8,9,10,12 and especially 13 have had much more promotion....the reason this games is so popular and considered the best is because its quite simply most ff fans favourite final fantasy...great story, great materia system and by far the best music in any final fantasy game

I got a question: when playing a downloaded psONE classic from the playstation store, when you're playing it on the ps3, are you cut off from PSN (As when you play a ps2 game)? Or does it say on your PSN status "Playing FF7" etc etc?

I fucking miss this game, my memory card took a dump just last year and the first disc stopped working past a certain point, so I got screwed. :( Quite possibly the greatest game I have ever played, still to this day. It kept me off the streets when I was little, now I seriously might as well be a thug.

Making a FFVII remake is a great thing, but they should have improve the graphics...I consider this game my favorite, i would love to play an improved version.

@MrImsozonked the fact is that they aren't. I think the real reason behind this is that Final Fantasy.. Um, how can I explain it to such a undeveloped mind.. Final Fantasy VII... Cannot be beaten. It is like, when an individual with the average IQ or above looks at an orange, he can identify the orange as 'orange'. It is the same with FF7. The only logical way of describing it, is as the best game ever. You can say it isn't your taste, still doesn't make FF7 bad, nor the orange any other colour.

all the way through the game there was no element of choice, felt more like a beat-em up with a story so yes way too linear, fingers crossed for agito and versus as although i ennjoyed ff13 it just wasn't final fantasy? if you know what i mean

If he hadn't developed this game, Final Fantasy VII wouldn't be as legendary as it is today.

Sakaguchi is the king... he should've stayed developing Final Fantasy. After 7 he only made 9. He didn't have any _real_ part in 8 or 10, where he has been listed as "Executive producer". Such a shame.

I just bought PSN card network on Walgreen I download Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII eventhough i play both game on Ps1 before I will start with Final Fantasy 7 than when Final Fantasy 13 come I play that when i finished with that I'm going to play Final Fantasy 8 hope final fantasy 9 will come soon.

a retard? i played FF7 the year that it came out, it was too cliche, horrible graphics, it's so overrated, people say it's the best because it's one of the few final fantasy games they've played because it had the biggest advertising promotion, also it was the first full length final fantasy game to be released on the psx/ps1 - final fantasy tops this game overall, so i guess your the retard :\

6 is pretty fantastic too.. I'd recommend it. And the remake of 4 for DS was pretty bad ass.. No other FF has beaten 7 in my opinion, but 6 comes pretty damn close.

@qenocide this game didnt have the biggest promotion.....8,9,10,12 and especially 13 have had much more promotion....the reason this games is so popular and considered the best is because its quite simply most ff fans favourite final fantasy...great story, great materia system and by far the best music in any final fantasy game
