I made a few of these today. They puffed up brilliantly but only one got crispy. I had to re fry them in really hot oil, which is bad as oil heated at high temperatures is bad. Where did I go wrong?
I have a question about this recipe. so first does he add all purpose flour ? then salt, right? because again he add flour ...so am i thinking it right ?
hey hey hey.. i tried these.. they turned out so well.. majority of them puffed.. and everybody loved them.. i kneaded 2 cups sooji.. seperately.. but they made only 50 ..or even less.. u said 1 cup would yield abt 100.. but well i don't care as long as they turned out good.. and i had to fry each poori separately bcos they were so naUGHTY they wouldn't puff when i put 2 or 3 together..plus my hands have got stiff from rolling so many gappas ..but it was worth it.. thank you :)
Very good video. Puries remained hard even on the second day. Getting them to puff was a problem. Managed to get many of them to puff upto say 50%, but not a single puri puffed to become a ball.
@JoshiSubodh hey if u want ur puri's to puff here is tip which can help you, initially whn to keep puri in hot oil, with the help of a spoon(frying spoon) pour hot oil on it, it may work for u
