I like to compare Tate Forcier to Colt McCoy. They are very similar. Both have very accurate arms, both can run very well, and they had similar stats their freshmen years. The only difference is that colt had a little more experience his freshmen year because he redshirted the year before. I cant wait to see what tate can do in the next three years.

Very average arm. The ball seems to float on him a good bit. It takes a while to get there. I don't see that much zip on his passes. He looks very slight. He needs to add more upperbody mass to see it he can put a bit more mustard in those passes.

He has a high completion % because he dinked and dunked the majority of the time. Any QB can have a high completion % when he's throwing 5-10 yard passes the whole game.

Colts a great college qb, no doubt about it but no way is he NFL material...floats too many passes (weak arm), throws to spots on the field (telegraphs his throws). in the NFL, you have to be able to throw into tight spots, not just throw it up in the air and left the receiver run under it. you also have to question his toughness (see his sideline wince vs K-State 2006).

love the guy, absolutely think he's a great college QB, but not NFL starter material...hopefully Im wrong...

Colt's gonna be a dark horse Heisman candidate. he had a bad season and he still went over 3300 yds and 22 TDs. if he just tucks the ball away and runs during some of those scrambles (when he threw the majority of his int.), I think he'll be in New York at the end of the season.

He has repeatedly made HUGE mistakes that have costs us WAY too many games. We have talent. But, we have no leader at QB. If it weren't for Colt, we would've beat A&M the last 2 years... and K-State the last 2 years for. No question about it.

Colt was a great qb his first year. Without injury he would have had better end of year stats. I don't mean to rag on him, but a lot of his passes are softer (admitted he has a lot of finesse) and sometimes jump balls. I'll also say he has some of the best wrs in the nation. So, for the upcoming season, I'd like to see him put a bit more zip on the ball, as well as accuracy. I think if he does that (and grows a bit, as I've read he has gained weight and muscle) he'll remain one of the best qbs
