    not good for the turbo when i hadn´t a blow off valve but mounted it after the dyno...going to make a new dyno video when i have upgraded the machine (but need some money for that before i can do it)

    Yes it´s an M50B25...original camshafts but have new cams in my home (280/280 10,4 lift) new turbo and alot of other parts

    Yesbox...m50b25...made a bad mistake when i builded the machine when i didn´t took the crankshaft from a b28 before that crank is forged and i would have 2,8l and not 2,5...

    not if it only is 500hp/632 torque...it´s not more because it´s original cams

  • @Fiido85 1,6 will be my limit one day ... when I get my hands on some garret ! I gess 1,8 for an engine with some parts , coolers, hoses and stuff ! But I gess you had some internal work too ... nice valve sound ! It cuts around 7000? 7500 ?

    i doesn´t remember 100% if it cuts at 7000rpm...need some more money now so i can build everything i want....change cams,fuelpump and lot more..so we shall see if it´s ready for the road to next summer...depends on moneys and space to be in and build :)

  • @Fiido85 You had to lower the compression rate a bit, right ? Go stainless headers, and polished air inlets ! Not that expensive and with some work it could be done at home ! The intercooler could be sprayed too , with alchool , co2 or no2 dry shots ! Ahhh, the time and money ... my problem exactly !

    Yes i have ~8,5:1 compression now...and yes i have polished whole inlet,runners,ic pipes, compressor side on turbo and much more stuffs...yes money is always a problem :/

  • @Fiido85 You car must be something , I'm now taking Automotive Engineering Degree back here in Portugal , it will take some years till I get myself a paycheck to pay for all the major stuff ! For now it's only direct KN air intake and small bits like that ! L6 is one and a half times more pricy to tune , instead of 16 we have 24 , kind of sucks ... but then you ear it roar and it all goes away ! Alchool ( and water ) or the CO2 shots on the intercooler are not that expensive and doable at home !

  • kyllä mä meinat se :) otan turbo pois ja laitan jonku adapteri sinne! ja se käy :) otan pakokaasutesti ennen mä mennän ja katsasta..pitäis teke oma kotisivu ja sit kaikki voi nähä rakennuskuvat ja muuta! ja mä haluan saada 700+ hp tämä kesä..mutta se tule varmasti 650 mutta 700+ on maali :) onko sulla on jonku projekti? ja anteeks mun suomea..se ei ole se paras :P

    I'm gonna buy a stock condition E34 with M50B25 (non-VANOS) next Sunday. That is, if the car I'm going to take a peak at doesn't completely horrify me. I wonder if I should turbocharge it. Just modify it to match structural strength of M5 and I should be allowed to take something like "M5 horsepower + 20% extra", right? Of course stock 525 may fall a bit short on certain aspects on structural strenght and safety features.

  • I'm not really serious about that. Stock horsepower is probably enough for me. Just obtaining a good turbo kit would cost more than the car itself, and then there's the requirement to actually install it, make all the adjustments and stuff. Not that easy.

    Nice job with that M50, Fiido85. I'm envious.
