personally i think this is when brett dennen is at his best. acoustic arrangements like this. i think the studio albums are fine, but they get brought down by trying to fill that empty space, and make the songs seem bigger. under normal circumstances this would be preferred. however, i think with an introspective acoustic singer/ songwriter style of music such as this, the arrangement should be toned down, as in this video. it provides an earthier, more intimate feel.

@SheriffTanner I agree, though I like him either way. I think he just has that catchy voice that you can always appreciate, even when it seems like it's being drowned out on the albums. I think that's why I aprreciate his early albums better than the latest two.
