ha ha my carpet does exactly the same ! my burmese is the worst one for that , i too so love my snakes i love the way they interact .. most people don't understand that when i tell them.. i wish i had snakes years ago, my children absolutly love my snakes they allways ask me if they can hold them .
@dejackal01 The first Carpet Python I've raised and I can seriously confirm they are VERY alert and intelligent snakes. I don't know why people can't accept the fact that they aren't mean nor killers LOL I've had snakes since the age of 14 and will til I die and can't imagine my life without them. It's sad to think that children are more intelligent than many adults are and are willing to learn about things they don't understand. Thank you for the compliment on Chewy making a new video tonight.
@actionadventures Thank you ;O) I have a big heart and tons of love for snakes and have had for 49 years. I've found every reason to love and respect them!! My snakes are great companions and I consider each of them an important part of my life and my family.
@1softkiss That's great to hear. By the way, I greatly appreciate snakes and all wildlife including animals which most people consider pests. (Although sometimes pests, even for me, cross the line sadly.) Keep up the great work! : )
@actionadventures Thank you sincerely :O) I really feel we have to defend the snakes and teach people the truth about them since the media has so poorly portrayed snakes behavior and personalities as anything but pleasant and calm.
my snakes are like that too when i was feeding my rat snake houdini a small weaner rat my ball python kaa was watching and waiting for me to open her glass slideing door of course she is well fed and shes greedy but just love her so much and she loves being handled to
@MultiSnake1983 I don't know for the life of me why people think snakes are dumb and oblivious to their environment it cracks me up. If these people would spend a couple of hours watching how our snakes interact with humans they could see that they love to watch people and follow them around just to see what they are doing. I really enjoy hearing other people tell me about how close they are with their snakes :O)
@Robbb690 Thank you for the compliment :O) I really appreciate it !! I've raised snakes for 49 years and the best part of keeping snakes and caring for them is likewise learning from them and the experience we all gain from them. They are amazing creatures and I wouldn't trade one day I've spent with them for anything. I can't understand why people won't open their eyes and minds and give them a chance with all the proof they have that snakes aren't mean nor aggressive animals.
@ZooVisitorMM Merry there is SO much to be taught and learned about nature and people's misconceptions of their natural instincts and their ways of communicating with humans. EVERY creature on God's earth has a way of communicating with each other and if people watch and pay attention to them they learn to see these things :O) So much more research needs to be done on animals and animal instincts and people could learn from them. Thank you for the nice compliment I love all of natures children.
Aww I just love Chewy, he's so adorable! I definitely talk to my snakes too, whether they can hear me or not doesn't matter to me at all... My little hognose is good about pushing on the top of his tank when he wants out, he's already got a routine going :P And I did get him to eat, he's just like my carpet Lily, won't let me watch! But I'm just glad he ate.
@vanyali89 Snakes learn REAL fast how to manipulate their handlers/owners LOL I'm living proof of that :O) That's great news glad you got your hognose to eat for you. It's always been a big concern of mine with a baby snake so I offer food probably more than I should but you can't tell as easily with a baby since they are normally in defense posture so much anyway. Thank you for the compliment and i'm sure Chewy would love you :O) He really loves the ladies and hams it up every time.
Just Like My King,Sits At The Sliding Glass Door,Wants To Come Out,He Just Fed,He Loves To Explore His Surroundings,Cool Vid Carla,Btw A Lot Of Us Talk To Our Snakes lol :)~<
@MrReptileSmile Otis is gorgeous Gerry and if I ever add a Cali King he will get credit for that !!! They do let us know what they want but people have to watch them and handle them to see what we do with our snakes. They love to explore and mine especially love to wipe out everything on my shelves around my day bed LOL Thank you for the kind words I love showing people how wrong they are about snakes.
@GFACE83 Snakes do talk to their handlers just not using the human vocabulary. I don't know why people can't accept that they have ways of communicating with us because they sure do especially with body language. I think it's many people that need to be educated about snakes in general. Thank you for the input. I appreciate the support :O)
Chewy is soooooooo freakin adorable Carla! He is just too cute for words. I always talk to my ball pythons. I don't care what anyone says about me talking to my snakes.
@cstoudt1973 Hey, thanks for the support it's great to know there are many of us that are crazy I guess because we talk to our snakes LOL People really are ignorant sometimes and I think I've met a big majority of them on my channel ROFL Then again, there are people that are eager to learn and end up loving snakes that once hated them so it's all good :O) Chewy has NO clue that he's a snake trust me !!!!! He thinks he's human the way he acts. I appreciate the wonderful comment !!!!

This could be the basis for a Ph.D. thesis, Carla! And, high school and college courses, too.
