"Let Me In" Is a new take on the story, but still its like the "What if's?" of Let The Right One In, like "What if Håkan was actually a boy when he met Eli?" Then the story would play out with Owen/Oskar being the new Caretaker to Abby/Eli and the cycle DOES repeat itself. Other then that, the other "What If's" Are still there, and it shapes the story into a different alternate then the book or this movie, making both films better.
@Rockmaster2112 Eli is asexual. Håkan is/was Eli's friend, in the exact same manner as Oskar. Oskar will do things to help her, and will also grow old. That's perhaps the most disturbing part of the film. By loving Eli, he dooms himself to the same fate as Håkan.
@hagenar That theory is up to interpretation to anyone who watches the movie, but the novel clearly states that Eli truly loves Oskar and isn't just using him as a slave. JAL himself said that we are free to view the story however we want, but Oskar being Eli's new caretaker wasn't what he intended when writing the book.
@Rockmaster2112 is he though? shes 212 years old in a different light she would be considered the pedo and it never actually says but horrifically enough i think thats gunna end up being oskar : ( best movie ive ever seen btw XD
@ihategordonstoun Well let me check for a sec, ok it says in a book vs Movie comparison In the book you quickly learn that Håkan is a pedophile who once used to work as a schoolteacher, but after being confronted with his crimes, he left all that was once his common life behind and started a “New” life with Eli who he somehow found along the way. Meeting Eli pushes him one step further, after all when we first meet him he is not only a pedophile, he’s also a serial killer."
@Rockmaster2112 ooooooooooooo my bad XD i was just going on the movie i havent been able to find the book aaanywere still looking. hmm i wonder why the movie didnt elaborate on that maybe it was a little to dark thanks though im not being sarcastic i genuienly find that interesting its an incredible story

Considering that he's a pedophile and a serial killer, I really have no sympathy for this man.

Eli doesn't age, but the cycle repeats itself.

Let Me In, however, makes that theory true.

@hagenar I'm just going by what the book says, and it says that Hakan is a pretty rotten character
