Aw man, I spent the first full minute horrified thinking that "the show" was "Penn and Teller: 'BS'". In retrospect, their show at the Rio makes a whole lot more sense.
Penn you seam to be a scientific based man and less religious. Why did you name your children such odd names? People with strange names are more likely to be depressed and other such related things. I am curious and not trying to be offensive.
Tonzimala you are gravely mistaken about Penn. He has always been for protecting the environment when it in turn protects human beings. He is against frivolous, meaningless, and wasteful environmentalism like protesting G.E. crops He is completely AGAINST government policies of almost EVERY type. He believes the government should have as little an impact on the lives of its citizens as possible.
Labor unions are outdated, corrupted, and negatively effect the laborers they are supposed to protect much more than they help them. Social Security is another socialist failure in a long line of failed socialist programs. It is almost in the hole financially, it doesn't pay out what its supposed to and to whom it's supposed to. Commercial retirement planning is a much better path for the individual. It just takes the individual being more fiscally responsible and not racking up so much debt.
Then you said he is against unemployment compensation. Well yes if it is from the government. Most employers DO carry non-government unemployment insurance programs to help you out while you find new employment. What I am saying is Penn is against forced government charity. In other words the government holding a gun to your head and wallet to take money from you to give to other people against your will. Rather than non-government charities that you can give money to by choice.
Before you run your mouth and spout incorrect accusations about someone. Delve a little deeper. Be more skeptical of everything you here and read, even if its from a credible source.

Fuck you and your boring fat spoiled brats. Penn Jillette supports government policies banning anything making life bearable for working people -- Social Security, labor unions, unemployment compensation, corporate regulation, environmental protection. Idiot screams rich fat fucks like him should be relied upon for charity to the needy. Last year 10,000 children died before their 5th birthday of preventable causes, like lack of clean drinking water. This fat fuck and his ilk let them die.

As a self-appointed "libertarian" spokesperson Penn Jillette advocates for an end to all social programs making life bearable for working people, things like Social Security, minimum wage, occupational safety, environmental protection. Penn Jillette says that the needy should depend on charity from fat fuck rich pricks like him. Every year 10,000 children die from preventable causes, mostly due to lack of clean drinking water. Guess the Penn Jillette Foundation isn't up and running yet.
How much money did you give to help those children? I would bet not a fucking cent. And please spare me your excuses for why you didn't open your heart and your checkbook for those poor kids. But maybe you should spend half as much energy helping other as you spend heckling them
Where's Michael Moore giving his money to? Oh, wait, he has to spend it on two multi-million dollar homes, or why is it that Al Gore is the primary voice of global warming, and yet he uses more energy than 200 American homes? Out of all of them, I believe Penn more than those two self-righteous idiots.
Bottom line is this - He shared the show with his children, and they all shared a moment of joy. That to me, is a good thing. Actually, it's a GREAT thing.
I doubt you give yourself enough credit about the bass playing. My band teacher (now retired) saw your show when visiting Vegas and sounded impressed.

Penn Jillette is himself not an über-Zionist. Penn is no atheist.

Penn, I thougth that was definitly a great moment for you in you life. you should get a DVD of all these recordings and save it in a safe, underground, surrounded with rabid squirels. So you children and grandchildren have it forever. One love.
I know how ya feel Penn. I paint houses for a living. Hell, its a job, glad I have it. I remember when my daughter came to one of our job sites. The huge ladders, the big paint brushes, the buckets. It was amazing to her. She thought it was so cool that her dad could paint something as large as an entire house.
Kids do something amazing. They put everything into perspective for us. Be careful, they grow up way to fast.

Big day for me regarding kids and performances was when I got to be in the orchestra for a play and my son played a big part in that play. I had to bring him in with a solo intro and he started singing. It was a great moment for me, nervous moment for both. He was 16 at the time and he did a song from 'Sweeney Todd'. I understand your feelings on this. Proud moments and important historical moments for a father and child.
Agreed...I saw him once a long while back here in Reno, Nevada and I don't recall whether or not he'd done that then. It'd be great to see for a long time fan such as myself.
I know it's beyond belief, but Teller actually CAN speak. In fact, I seem to remember seeing a special on TV about Houdini and Teller was one of the guys that sat in front of a camera and talked about him.
The existence of wind can be confirmed via the scientific method (see meteorology).
I have yet to discern any way of directly confirming the existence OR nonexistence of a god or gods via the scientific method. This does not automatically mean you are right, whichever side of the argument you fall. It is simply unknowable via current sciences. That can change.
We used to think the Earth was flat, and many things we assume correct today can and may be found wrong tomorrow.

The wind is very observable, whether we see it with our eye's doesn't mean we can't observe it otherwise. There is no way to observe God that could prove his existence.
I don't think you'll come across many atheists that would say you don't have a right to believe whatever you want, but what they will say is that your belief isn't justified by any argument/"evidence" put out by theists.
Atheists do not complain about god. We believe that god does not exist. Here in the US where we have freedom of religion, people choose for themselves so organized or unorganized religion makes no difference.
No one can prove that there is a god and no one can prove that there is no god. It comes down to what each individual needs. I need no god.
Politically, Atheists have legit. complaints as their tax money goes to various faith-based social engineering projects. It's BS, and its bad.
You know why we argue about something that doesn't exist? Because you Christians find it necessary to legislate your morality on us and push your religion down our throats. Even though your god does not exist, it affects us. Question: Do you believe in Allah? If not, why do you seem concerned about something you believe doesn't exist? (I do know you were concerned about 9/11...right?) If you can answer that.... then you'll understand where I'm coming from.
As long as religionists believe they have the right to run everyone's life - "You can't drink beer on Sunday; it's the Lord's day!" and similar crackpot stuff - you're going to keep hearing from atheists.
I took my kid to work once, and it was a thrill to let her get to see daddy's work. But then HR came gunning for me, and told me to get my child out of the workplace... Bastards. I was going to have her om pick her up at lunchtime, but whatever. I hate Corporate bullshit.
But...Atheists can't love their children because they're all evil and sick and they hate God! Anything is OK for them because there's no moral absolutes so it's even OK to do rape and murder and even canibalism!
In fact, I heard some Atheists actually eat children! D: No lie!

I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart.
Atheists are in some ways more "advanced" than theists because they (some of them) use rational thought to overcome ancient superstitions and political tricks.
Just because a person is arrogant does not necessarily mean that they are wrong or even unethical. Penn is not an arrogant person and he is very ethical. Compare to Rev. Jackson!
All atheists that I know are very open minded. This is not true of theists, however. Watch Penn when he is on Glenn Beck and you will see the difference.
I'm sorry to hear we won't be dating but arrogance and certainty are very often mistaken for one another.
If a speeding bus was barreling down on you and you didn't know, I would be morally responsible to tell you. I have to warn you that believing in an afterlife and living this life as if it's just a test is worse than being the target of an impending bus crash. You'll waste your whole life.
That's why atheists sound arrogant. You dismiss them because you don't want them to be right.
Speeding buses are a real, common phenomenon; people see them, and some are killed by them, all the time. We also understand the mechanism behind speeding buses and how they injure and kill people.
The same cannot be said for religious belief, a phenomenon where even the religious cannot seem to agree.
I'm not sure if we are arguing against purposes here or are in agreement.
I used the speeding bus (and remember, I said "if you didn't know" that it was speeding toward you) as an example for two reasons: it is easily understandable in terms of inherent danger and because it is undeniable once one perceives it. These two points represent religion and atheism respectively.
I did not deny the corporeal nature of the bus not did I indicate that I believe religion to be true or real.
Watching these videos on Youtube is so much better than Crackle... much more user-friendly. But even better was when they were on iTunes... are they coming back there at some point?
Is there anything better than hearing "That's My Daddy!" -toddler voice echoing in a big theatre? I think not. Heck, I still say it when I see my Dad, in his wheelchair, with all his medals on, at a Veteran's function. And I'm 37. haha. Good for you Penn - definately a great story for the ages.
lol the part at the end where you were saying how you and teller were really nervous and how teller could get fired, reminded me of the simpsons episode you appeared on a couple yrs ago...HELP, IM NOT THE 1ST TELLER!
Wow, that must've been a great experience for both you and your family! I'm happy for you!
I've always wanted to ask you this (somewhat unrelated to the video): Which do you consider your main hat: the debunking hat or the "magic"/stage show hat?
I'm happy for you, man. That's really something special and it's good to hear- thanks for sharing. PS I'm seeing your (live) show for the first time coming up here!
Enjoy the goodies from the kids, Penn. In 10 years when they are teenagers, replay this video to help you calm down & remember that they are your children & you love them.
No point needed... it's ok to express family pride! :) Glad you enjoyed the moment!!! Hoping your comment screener will relay everyone's joy to you! :)
I love that your kids finally got to see this amazing talent you and Teller share for the entertainment of others, so thanks for sharing this experience with us :)
i saw the show at the rio on july 21st, they had everyone come up onstage before the show started to sign an envelope set up on a sign and to check out the box. i thought it was going to be used in the show but was just another trick by penn and teller. the show was fantastic btw so anyone going to vegas in the near future i highly recommend it
It's great thing, entertaining your children...or any child really. I would say that it's even more so for an entertainer who's job of entertaining becomes more significant with the smiles of their sons and daughters faces.
Love how much you love your children, Penn, and love how you shared this event with us strangers.
Some dads work in office buildings, others are construction workers, but having one that cuts showgirls in half and does magic tricks, THAT'S pretty fuckin' cool.

Watching these videos on Youtube is so much better than Crackle... much more user-friendly. But even better was when they were on iTunes... are they coming back there at some point?

Penn, what a wonderful moment for the family! Thanks for sharing that as part of your PennSays. I always love hearing about Mox and Z!

Enjoy the goodies from the kids, Penn. In 10 years when they are teenagers, replay this video to help you calm down & remember that they are your children & you love them.

i saw the show at the rio on july 21st, they had everyone come up onstage before the show started to sign an envelope set up on a sign and to check out the box. i thought it was going to be used in the show but was just another trick by penn and teller. the show was fantastic btw so anyone going to vegas in the near future i highly recommend it

Yup, thanks for sharing this with us. I've got two kids myself, and I hope they think of me of a superhero for a long time to come.
