THIS HAPPEND BECAUSE A WOMAN HAD TOLD THE OPERATOR TO STOP THE RIDE BECAUSE SHE WAS WORRIED ABOUT HER GIRL WHO WAS ON RIDE.

@fizzywizzy122 if that was the case he would either have ignored it, or slowed down the ride, and then getting the gondolas to the platform - this is clearly an emergency stop

ROFL, I've been on this ride so many times....i hate it when they don't put 4 people on each side because you're left hanging.....i got back from brean today, was on that ride 2 days ago....and the guy that was opperating the ride put me with 3 other people as a 4 person test....luckly enough it went ok...but that ride is dangerous....using 4 real humans to test a ride is rediculous.

This is bullshit!!!!! The ride wasn't stuck!! It was stopped because some drunken mother wouldn't let her daughter be taken up and over and the only way for her daughter to be taken off was for the ride to complete a circle, which she wouldnt allow! So then some passerby phoned the fire engines... If any of you commenting actually read the statements given on the news by the RIDE INSPECTOR he stated that This ride was in full working order and completely safe!!!

@B3nchboy this ride has a function which alows it to slowly rotate until the car is at ground level.....and it can go reverse. if that was the case the fire service would not have wasted their time carrying out a rescue as the operator could have brough them down. the rides hydraulics actually failed apparantly. it been checked that morning and found to be safe and properly functioning

i have been to brean before, and i have been on this ride. it is a good ride but i was unaware this happened. i was on it last april. i also spotted a UFO in this same are in 2008 on the same holiday park. go to my vodeos and you will see it called " UFO spotted in brean somerset"

i used to work on a travelin fair trust me she was in no danger she was done up if shewasnt the car couldnt av left the station and yes it looks like its open but thats because there are several different locks on it cuz ppl are bigger that others yes it wasnt pushed in as far as it cud av been but she was dun up!!!

its clearly and blatantly NOT dangerous because i went to brean yesterday and it was still open, therefore, nobody's life was in danger or they would have shut the ride down.

The ride was still safe to operate tho long as the bar lights are off then thats it. The opperater should of checked that the bar was shut on her tight so no ones fault realy the ride was safe to go thats it. Its things like this that give rides a bad name when there was nothing wrong with the ride at all.

I've been on this ride twice. The harness was locked it just looks a bit strange, its just the way the harness works.

Whoa, no need to go at me, I don't work there and I didn't design the ride so it's not my fault. I was just saying the ride was not faulty, not making any personal comments about you.

My brothers kids are 3 & 9 and believe me if I thought they were in danger I would be the first up there to try and protect them. I live down the road from the park and this is the first incident I have ever heard of so I personally (just my opinion, don't shoot me) trust that the rides are safe.

@djwegener the harness was in fact locked. it has several locked positions because different people of different sizes use this ride. if you had one setting larger people would be squashed. it is locked and safe but it just could have gone in one more click

I rode one of these THREE times at a FAIR and it never did this.

You would hope someone with power over the people who work the ride seen this video and got rid of the careless workers. If not, it should be emailed to them. also the guardians could have a legal right against the park if they have seen this video exists....if anyone cares that much?????????????

My mate can just fit on this ride if the bar dont shut the ride does not move at all simple as. See it all the time where parents go mad thinking there kids are falling out when there screaming casue they hate it or they like it. Waste of police and the fire brigades time really.

The ride does not operate unless all bars are secured as there are lights on the backs of the seats if there not out the ride shouldnt start. In the papers I hear it was a lady who ran in the box and pressed the emergency stop button as she throught her daughters bar was unlocked is this true as really cant see this
