Okay, that is pretty luxurious. Does it have a glossy finish? I played the version of this guitar without the pickup and it has one of those horrid satin finishes. If so (and even it it does have a satin finish) then GET THE HOFNER.

@WoWintosh - Yeah, I'm saving up for it. I'm a working musician and compromised with the Jay Turser Jt-143, beautiful jazz box...check it out...It's a great steal. Yeah, the spruce top and ebony fret combo is very important on acoustic instruments.....spruce is used as the sound board of pianos, due to their resonance and ebony is one of the most responsive woods around. With Jazz boxes, this is why all the expensive ones uses them. Martins, too. The Hofner is the best affordable choice.

for the guy that asking which one to get.if you are an acoustic player i recomend this one on the video,dont get the 5120 because it is more of an electric guitar,its got a sound post so acoustically it doesnt resonate that much.for the guys critisicing the poor guy with the hair,just leave him alone;he`s a rocker and his doing the best he can;not eveybody is a jazz genious.remember there is always somebody better than you in every town.i will put all of my energy on my own self..

@zeLudoo I have one of these, I love it. If you check it out you will see that it is actually an Acoustic/electric guitar which is why it is totally hollow and larger than the normal electric. Yes it can be played as an acoustic.

What the F are you playing? Rockabilly meets Jetsons Space Rock? I'm not usually this critical, but I was hoping for a REAL jazz demo of a REAL jazz box. Since Guitar Centers don't have these hangin' 'round I was hoping to hear a demo on YouTube. I read that Peerless guitars (once or still do) made this model, so instead of paying $1300-1500 for a Peerless, I'd prefer to pay $700-800 for this. Damn I'm frustrated by lack of videos on this guitar...only to encounter this poorly-done demo.

Thanks for posting this. It was the only audio example i could find of the G100CE. I have the non-electric, non-cutaway version (G100) and it really is a beautiful guitar and sounds great (although you will need to get it professionally set up as they sort of quickly chuck them out the door at the factory). The satin finish is so much nicer than the thicker poly that is on "cheap" guitars in this price range.
