@stoprainingonme not really, the idea that if you come from a wealthy background you can't be socialist is nonsense. It's true that communism is supposed to a dictatorship of the workers but that simply means a middle class person shouldn't try to take over the movement, not that they can't support the ideals.
ahem, the idents were not shown on ITV from 1988 onwards but the companies still had these idents on the front. TSW still added their idents to the front of their progreammes until they ended their contract in 1992. The Thames ident is still seen around the world on new episodes of the Bill!
Yorkshire Television continued this practice until late 1989.
No they are not. They are just two different types of comedy. British comedy is about what people say & American comedy is about what people do. The British cannot create a show like Seinfeld & the Americans cannot create a show like Yes Minister.

ok, here's a question, what's the difference between quid and pound. he said two hunderd quid and she said two hundred pound. weird.
MayallFan35 3 years ago
Same thing. Quid is slang for Pound. Like Buck is slang for Dollar. 20 bucks, 20 dollars, same thing.

Why have you cut the Yorkshire Television logo off the front? Im a completist and I like to see the FULL programme from beginning to end.

And what about Irish comedy? Something like Father Ted?
Fuki385 4 years ago
Unfortunately, I have never seen that show. I don't live in the UK or Ireland, so I did not get to see a lot of programs from there.

That was made by a UK tv company.
