  • iv hit 45mph on a mountain bike. unfortunately i swerved a car and came off my bike at the bottom of the hill

  • What's is wattage during this?

  • there's a small engin inside!!!

  • yah, it looks like a pregnant wingtip on wheels. zoom!

  • Ummm..... did anyone tell them that's not a bike?

  • eh i hit boot 8 mph on my vespa ciao moped last night when the motor died on a slight down hill drunk prolly coulda hit 9 or 10 sober........do those dudes in the recumbents shave there legs

  • You figured it out, shave your legs dud and get like 40 mph more...

  • my legs can generate so much torque i have to use motorcycle chains otherwise i'd tear the gears and the chain right off. 50 mph is no sweat.

  • we all wish we had that much torque

  • looks more like a flying shoe XD

  • that dude was high on EPO. hahaha

  • you know what tubotuyo u can shut the fuck up!! and say i am ignorant to my GOD DAM FACE..... bitch

  • Haha just shut the fuck up no one cares

  • this is obviously one of the previous records for a IHPVA vehicle and not a UCI administered hour record (official and best human effort).

  • I hit 53 mph on a mountain bike down a steep ski slope. Almost tore my arms off.

  • Yeah this is a recumbent bike..Not a bicycle.Completely different. The speeds the same level cyclist can get upto on the two machines are totally different. Add another 20-40- km per hour on the recum from a normal bike.

  • I've hit 53 mph on my Volae Tour, downhill. I should be able to get over 60 on some of the roads around me. I want a fairing in case I crash.

Oh and this video is technically about a bicycle. Look up "Varna Diablo".

  • That would go so fast down the hill from Bath University!!

  • faster down the hill from bristol university, which is also a better university...

  • thats not a bike

  • yes, it is

  • no it isent

  • Don't be so ignorant. Take a look at this video on you tube: watch?v=z9oc9zx15oE and you'll see that it really is a bike. (I hope you can manage to see it)

  • I don't see any one peddling

  • I can see that you couldn't manage to see the video that I told you to see (there is a guy peddling in one of these bikes without the cover), so there is no much to say. Or maybe that says a lot of you.

  • that was to codshu69

  • I told my local bike shop about this and they had no idea. I can't wait to show them the link. I wonder what the faired tandem record is?

  • Faired tandem One Hour record is 46.3 miles (mph) set way back in 1980 in Ontario, California by Ron Skarin and Eric Hollander in a three-wheeled streamlined tandem bike called the Vector Tandem. The previous year 1979, Ron Skarin had ridden a world record 31.88 miles on a faired upright bike.

  • chicken man & les cum alot po po this?? if you were more than a weekend warrior you would appreciate how hard this is to do. congrats! I would love to see you race the 10mile TT at lowes speedway

  • ever hurd of a magical thing called a HILL!

  • Yawn.......real men don't use fairings.

  • That's some serious achievement!

    Well done!

  • Sam doesn't come into view until about 1 minute into this video. Though if you look hard around the turn you can see his white bicycle on the track. The chase cars were supposed to stay back for the riders safety. In the last 30 seconds or so, we pull along side to throw the chalk bag to mark the spot where they finish. Officials at the timing station called out the final seconds 10, 9, 8, 3, 2, 1...

  • Compulsory for IHPVA observers!
