  • lol i remember these growing up

  • What's the name of this song but the more elegant one this sounds different then the one I remember it was more intense at the end and more elegant and smooth

  • I want to find this exact version of the Palladio song but I can only find the version that sounds much harsher. I like the one in this commercial because it sounds so much more elegant. Does anyone know where I can find this exact version other than looking up the commercial for it?

  • @kpn928 me too. my ballet class did a dance to this song last year and it was AMAZING. and i haven't ever found our version (which is this one)

  • is there anywhere i can get this exact recording of solitaire? I don't like the other 'palladio' version, it's too fast, and seems to be for cheap thrills

  • THANK YOU!!! I've been searching for this commercial forever! I remember this as a kid, thinking it was a fancy tv show, I'd always yell, "mom! the shadow show is on!" haha, but I could never remember what the music was. & I thought it was Zales, not DeBeers, haha.

  • The song called, "Solitaire", is actually named "Palladio" -it was orginally composed by Karl Jenkins. The first and original black and white silhouette diamond commercial "A Diamond Is Forever; Diamond Solitaire", with the unmistakable classicalesque music aired in 1999. After this, every cheap department store that carries jewelry started to rip this commercial off and make their own sorry versions of it... Just look at how similar the Zales commercials are.

  • Someone know the name of the music ?

  • Someone know the name of the music ?

  • I remember this commercial for its music..however, I remember the music being much more intense, especially at the end. am I remembering correctly? Was there another version of this comm/song?

  • OMG I remember many of the DeBeers Ads from the 1990s! :O

  • I love this commercial. It's very unique and classy. What I don't like is the fact that De Beers is one of the most expensive diamond stores around. Their prices start at around $5,000.

  • You say it with more more brilliance, more depth, more fire. That thing being said, "You are a shallow bitch that enjoys shiny rocks."

  • I love the thumbnail for this video.

  • There is a slower version and it isnt a high pitch tune, but lower. anyone knows where I can find that?

  • a diamong is forever, so is herpes

  • Put plenty of then on a special light retraction, powerful energy beam orbital satellite, you get to know how nasty my Diamond Is Forever.

Merry Christmas from Ernst Stanro Blofeld and SPECTRE.

  • How the hell do the diamonds sparkle with shadows over them?

  • ...A Diamond Solitaire...

  • Funny how Debeer can put up a commercial like that and know what is going in Sierra Leone at the time and how many people are dying because of the RUF and how the conflict diamonds are bought by Debeer (and they know full well what is going on down there) and they store them in a vault to say how precious they are when in fact they are hoarding them. Wow.

  • @kenobigirliz let them fight over diamonds let them handle there own shit

  • and i bet he got some head and pussy after that hahaha she must of

  • @Murdahewrote

That's some fucking expensive head and pussy!

  • No... it is Allegretto, not Palladio!!!!

  • Same thing! The movement is called Allegretto from the song Palladio from the complilation Diamond Music

  • I've been hearing this song in my head, all the times over 10 years ago. I love this song but unable to identify it. I originally heard this song from this commercial; I love this commercial, it's lovely and beautiful. Now I know this song as "Palladio" by Karl Jenkins. Now I found this song in YouTube and decided that I want to favorite it, but I also found it on iTunes and bought the song from iTunes and synced it to my iPod Touch. Now I can listen to this lovely song forever. 5 Stars.

  • I like it, but I think the voice actor wasn't the right choice. They should have used the Lexus commercial V.O

  • ha i remember these commercials especially that background music lol

  • what classical song is this? i cannot remember.

  • Palladio by Karl Jenkins

He wrote it for De Beers, then took this piece and used it as the first movement for "Diamond Music"

  • I had this commercial stuck in my head for the longest time! I love this music!

  • I know what you mean! I loved this commercials for years on end! I loved the shadowy figures and how they came to fit the jewerly, can't forget about the music of course!

  • I Totaly Agree!! .

  • @wya88 you are shit

  • Is anyone who has the video of the first commercial, where there are only 2 people shadows

    in the sandy beach?

  • Karl Jenkins actually has a CD out called Diamond Music with all 3 movements of this piece.

    :) Good luck!

  • Blood diamonds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes! nice music! nice diamonds!!!

  • one of my favourites tv ads of all times:)

  • This is the FIRST and ORIGINAL black and white sillhouette diamond commercial with that kind of classical music touch...All those other cheap-ass department stores started ripping off this commercial after it aired. I mean, Peoples, Zales, Kay's, etc... De Beers really knows how to market well, AND WITH ORIGINALLITY unlike all those others.

  • I love this comercial

  • Karl Jeckins Palladio

  • i like th emusic, whos it by?

  • its from palladio by karl jenkins

    =]

  • This is the version I was looking for and it was hard to find. A more Mozartian, slow, emotional touch than the others. This was the best version IMO. I can't find this version anywhere. Composer K.J. doesn't seem to have included this anywhere.
