The main idea of the movie is that Asian people don't hug or embrace and that their parents pry into their lives is very much a stereotype. Skip this one unless you're having problems falling sleeping at night. Henry O is the best part of this move yet he's unused to full potential, gone to waste by the writer and director. On a scale of 1-5 it's a one, a small low budget movie trying to look like artsy.

I went to see this movie at a San Diego showing this week. It's a very long slow boring movie. The best part is when the LDS boys show up but the rest moves so slow you end falling asleep during the movie. She treats him very disrespectful. Considering he's only staying with her one week she makes no effort to spend time with him except during dinner, which he has prepared every day.

Oh, definitely getting this one when it hits swedish video store. Love chinese movies like the ones of Wong Kar Wai (especially Fallen Angels and Happy Together), Tsai Ming Lang (What time is it in Paris? Great movie about love and obsession) and Zhang Yimou (Hero, yup, the colors the colors and oooh the coreography. And how the samantha couple commits suicide thogedda trois la times...
