Boner sounds just like Ted Baxter from the Mary Tyler Moore show. Would someone explain to this idiot that his policies have been tried and failed miserably. Hes obviously too stupid to learn anything.
Historically the economy suffered if ever we went to the extreme and just lowered everyones taxes, or if we took the other extreme and lowered everyone elses taxes accept the top percent. In this case I find bother boner's and Obamas proposal to be un-sound. I'd say part of both of their proposals would do well. 250K and above get tax brackets brought back to how they were in the Clinton era, but leave the tax brackets for middle/low as is
Otherwise employers just take it out of their paychecks
i like that. i'm a obama supporter and i believe just giving the rich a tax break won't help. i think obama's plan is more sound. by lowering energy cost and saving an extra $2 billion by making federal buildings energy efficient. allowing 95% of america to pour money back in the economy
Yes, I too am an Obama supporter as well. And I've always supported his tax plans above Conservative/McCain tax plans. And after recently listening to Tom Hartman and doing a bit of research I've come to the conclusion that at least a little bit of Boner's plan can work out, that being leaving the brackets as is, but still going with Obama's 250+ tax plan, the way it was via Clinton term.
By the way, I'm curious, what renewable energy source are you most in favor of research towards?
nuclear energy will open millions of jobs, which i'm in favor of as long as it is safe. i also like the reseach they been doing with wind. clean coal i'm skeptical of because think it would be years before we get actual results and put it to use.
I'm on the fence with nuclear energy. The idea that Nuclear waste lasts for about 1000 years in preservation makes me worried. All others besides natural gas perhaps I'm in favor of. There's much potential out there, and though the research may be costly, I think in the end it's worth it. We're reaching a point in which we can no longer procrastinate anymore.
Representative Boehner is right! Cut personal tax rates, capital gains rates and Corporate rates to encourage more work, saving and investment. It works every time it is tried, ask John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush and even Bill Clinton(capital gains rate cuts).
I don't think anyone wants to go back to the Johnson, Nixon, Ford and Carter Era of Keynesian economics. That was a real disaster!
On November 4, 2008, We the People rejected the failed economic policies of the Bush administration and the Republican party. Boehner obviously didn't get the message.
Boehner can prattle his neocon nonsense as much as he likes, it will be no avail. Boehner and his neocon ilk have been effectively defanged by We the People.
